This Week In Video Games 7/25/16 — 7/29/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of July 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games We missed out on the recap of video games last week due to all of the insanity of SDCC but we are back this week. Things just always seem to get so crazy during this part of the month but it does give us a whole lot to discuss and bring you so we won't complain too much here. We did get more on Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare and South Park: The Fractured But Whole out of it all didn't we? Not to mention all of the other video games that held their updates until after we all got back from the convention and could recoup. Read More...

Let's Settle The Score For Mafia 3's Voodoo Queen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 A new video series for Mafia 3 has begun and each looks to let us get to know the lieutenants of Mafia 3 we will be working with and appeasing Way back in June we were properly introduced to the lieutenants that we will be in control of in Mafia 3 when it launches. We had a fun look at how Hangar 13 has set up a pretty dynamic way for them to be integrated into the game as well as a quick overview of their personalities. Of course that is going to play a big part in the overall scheme of Mafia 3 so it would be nice to get to know them a bit more. That is hopefully why we have some new videos from 2K Games showing just that as we all gear up for the October 7th release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Darksiders The rumored remaster of Darksiders has now become a reality as the Darksiders Warmastered Edition is heading to current gen systems this October If you were like me and questioning why we had the second Darksiders game remastered and no word on the first title, then you'll be glad to see that we now have the answer. It looks like Nordic Games was having that one remastered as well by KAIKO and now we are on the verge of getting it. I am glad to say that we now have the Darksiders Warmastered Edition announced and coming to our PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, or PC on October 25th of this year. Read More...

Fight, Trade, & Survive Your Way Through No Man's Sky
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
No Man's Sky The other three aspect trailers for No Man's Sky crept out on us and now we get to see how No Man's Sky will play in all aspects It looks like I was wrong when it came to the recent intro videos for No Man's Sky that we were getting here. Originally the first one was released by Hello Games with enough time to release one each week up until its August 9th release. I guess it's good for all of us wanting more for No Man's Sky as it looks like the rest of the videos are out there and we get to see just what we are going to get in terms of the core gameplay of the game. At least the four main aspects that they wanted to focus on here in the game. Read More...

Can The Child Mind Change Some Horrors In Layers Of Fear: Inheritance
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear The launch trailer for Layers Of Fear: Inheritance has been released just before launch and it sounds like we may be able to alter Layers Of Fear through the eyes of a child Next week we get to head back into the world of Layers Of Fear as the new DLC expansion lands on August 2th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This would be the bit of story for the game that has won the hearts of many for Bloober Team where we get to take on the role of the deranged artist's daughter and head back into the house. At least that is the story for Layers Of Fear: Inheritance as the original story was just us playing through as the artist himself and trying to make heads and tails of what was going on. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Fallout A new Fan TV series call Fallout: Revelation has a third of its pilot out there and ready for us to see a serious side of Fallout instead of the humor We've all come to love Fallout in many forms. Of course we have the game and there have been a few fun and humorous fan films and web series made but now it looks like we are going a bit more serious as we now have another Fan TV series out of MechanicalCake. Here we have Fallout: Revelation a new serious story in the universe. But let it be known that it is not affiliated with Bethesda directly, yet, as the team is looking to delve into the reason that the bombs were dropped in the Fallout universe and everyone had to hide underground. Evolve Stage 2 Is Bring Us Electro Griffin… Boogaloo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Evolve A new-ish character is coming to Evolve Stage 2 as one of the original hunters from Evolve is getting a solid makeover for you to earn up to That didn't take too long for the new Evolve to get yet another character update added into the mix. It looks like Turtle Rock Studios is truly behind this IP and don't want it to fall behind like so many other 2K Games titles out there that have. That is all in the past and as we wait for Evolve Stage 2 to hit the PS4 and Xbox One we have a new character joining in the mix for the PC version. Although I say new character, it is really just a new skin and weapon mechanics for a fan favorite character from before. Read More...

New Details For The Walking Dead Season Three & Screenshots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead A few new tidbits for The Walking Dead season three from Telltale have come out of SDCC as well as some new screenshots for The Walking Dead's third season It was stated that we would get some more on the third season of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead during San Diego Comic Con and fans were not let down. At least not let down outside of the fact that we were still left with a whole lot to wonder on as we head toward the new season's release and just what has gone on in the game's world since then. Especially since most of it is all cannon for The Walking Dead franchise and not just some extra fluff. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — A Portal To Mystery
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — A Portal To Mystery. This is the sixth episode of Telltale's take on Mojang's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did The story continues for Minecraft: Story Mode as we have the first episode in the expanded adventure and the sixth episode in the epic tale of Jesse and his crew as they do what is apparently done in Mojang's world. If you are somehow still behind the times though this also expands on the story that Telltale Games has been building up for us over pretty much a year now. I'm still confused as to why they didn't go a solid second season and just have all of this is part of it but they didn't Now let us dig into this new episode of Minecraft: Story Mode before we get bogged down with even more of their great stories and such. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Batman A solid release date for Batman: The Telltale Series has been revealed and it looks like the first week of August is when Batman will be taking flight again Last week we were teased with when Batman: The Telltale Series would be coming to us in digital format but we were told that we would get to see a new trailer just in time for SDCC. As they are people of their words over at Telltale Games we now have a released date for the digital version of the game, August 2nd, and a trailer for the first episode of the game. Just the perfect time to bring us all Batman and now we know that we won't have to wait until we get home from the huge convention to give it a play. Read More...

The Seventh Episode Of Minecraft: Story Mode Is Coming Into Control
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft The release date for Minecraft: Story Mode's seventh episode has been set and it looks like the world of Minecraft is getting the Tron and Borg treatment The seventh episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, or second in the adventure pass, has a release date set and it looks like it will be July 26th here. On this date we will get to see how much further down the rabbit hole Telltale Games is going to take us into their take on the famed Mojang IP that has a few hits and misses in my eyes. Especially the one where they didn't split this into a second season of Minecraft: Story Mode instead of just making it all an add-on. Read More...

Friday The 13th: The Game's Jason Room Is Now Open For Scares
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th A new update to Friday The 13th: The Game's digital cabin has been made and we get more to see for Friday The 13th's big bad Jason in the game It hasn't been that long since the Friday The 13th: The Game digital cabin came online and fans who backed or are still banking the game had a chance to check out the "safe area" in the game where we can check out all of our collected gear and items. Illfonic and Gun Media put this together early but it will be in the final game so you can see everything you want out side of a match. Sadly, when it first launched it was just an icon cabin from the Friday The 13th series and game with little more than a few developer diaries and music to check out from the game. Read More...

Concept Art For Visceral's Star Wars Have Come Out As Well As An Update
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Star Wars During London's Star Wars celebration event we received a few new bits of concept are for the Star Wars Visceral is working for us We all know that EA is holding onto that Star Wars IP with an iron grip and forcing pretty much all of their development studios to work on the IP in some way or another. One of which would be Visceral Games that we all know for the Dead Space titles and the most recent Battlefield Hardline title; also they are the studio who picked up Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame. Of course it makes sense that they would have them working on another Star Wars addition into the video game world and it looks like we have a bit of an update and some pieces of concept art to work with as we wait and see. This Week In Video Games 7/11/16 — 7/15/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of July 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games This week seemed to drag on but luckily we had all kinds of video games and all their news to keep us entertained and moving forward. That isn't to say that we didn't have some cool things come out like the new stuff for No Man's Sky and Call Of Duty. Then we had the flip flop on the Batman franchise although both of the video games in question there were from different developers. I guess it's best to get all of that out before SDCC this year as that kicks off next week and I am sure we're going to see a whole lot more out there during that event. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of July 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Batman The release window for Batman: The Telltale Series digital has been revealed as well as when Batman will be getting a physical version from Warner Bros. As I assumed we would be seeing more of Batman: The Telltale Series as we got closer to SDCC and here we go. It isn't a trailer as Telltale Games has stated that they will be showing us that next week during the big event and when they do their play through of the first episode live. But for now it looks like we only have news that Batman is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices digitally sometime in August. I'm going to guess during the first week of August given their normal schedule. Read More...
