Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site I don't think there is a gamer out there that can claim this wasn't a huge week for all things video games. There was something for everyone this week; even though some of the news was a sad note for a huge portion of gamers out there. Gwent Since Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has undergone a few changes recently in the beta it may be time to relearn Gwent in preparation for its upcoming release Since the beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game kicked off last year we've seen a few things get changed up and reworked to make sure the game is at its best that it can be. It really is what CD Projekt RED is going for here instead of the usual demo hidden as a beta thing that most other companies go for when they really just want to hype a game or test their servers before launch. Mass Effect Another briefing video for Mass Effect: Andromeda has released to give us a quick rundown on Mass Effect: Andromeda's two main vehicles we will be piloting in the game We had a nice little taste of Mass Effect: Andromeda last week as well as word that it would be officially coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 21st. Then we had a nice little tease from BioWare that a new briefing video would be out for the Andromeda Initiative event currently going on right now. Styx A new cinematic trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has released and it shows off a bit of Styx's stealth tactics and mayhem he can create in the process We are all still waiting for a solid release date for Styx: Shards Of Darkness as March is still the only part of the date still set out there but that doesn't mean that the videos and fun have to stop. Of course not and that is just what Cyanide Studios has brought us here yet again for the game with a new trailer aimed to highlight the thing we know Styx is good at; Stealth. I mean, his last title was named Master Of Shadows and with a name like that, not to mention how the game actually played, stealth was his strong suit and I know I was able to put it to some amazing use from start until the end. Horizon Zero Dawn A new cinematic trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn has been released to show off more story for Horizon Zero Dawn as well as enemies and allies Up until now we've pretty much seen the same bit of Horizon Zero Dawn over and over. We get Aloy running around and hunting in the same general section of the world that Guerrilla Games has put together for us and her to explore. I know I was personally getting a little tired of it and concerned for Horizon Zero Dawn as it looks like this was more or less the bread and butter of the game. Especially when we see that February 28th is quickly approaching and so little had been shown off for the game so far in terms of story, other parts of the world, and if there would be any other enemies and major NPCs for Aloy to interact with instead of the few that we've had since E3 of 2016. Guardians Of The Galaxy A release date for Guardians Of The Galaxy's physical version popped up at GameStop and could point to when Guardians Of The Galaxy will launch this year It looks like we may have a timeline for when to expect Guardians Of The Galaxy to release; or at least the first episode of the season. It looks like there was yet another screw up over at GameStop and the release date for Telltale Games' physical version of the series popped up online. Given how they usually run their releases for digital and physical versions, we may be seeing Guardians Of The Galaxy landing sometime in late March or early April for the digital release as the physical version was listed as April 25th on the site before being pulled back down and hidden again. Scalebound After being a staple title at conventions it looks like Scalebound has been given the axe as Microsoft has cancelled Scalebound officially now I hope you weren't too invested in the Scalebound hype that had been pushed out there since its first announcement back in 2014 as it looks like the game is now dead and cancelled. It is official from Microsoft Studios that they have decided to end production on the game to focus on other titles that are still slated for 2017. This is also after opting to delay Scalebound back in 2016 to give Platinum Games more time to bring us the game that was envisioned and also shown off at the many gaming conventions since it was announced. Paragon The next hero for Paragon has been announced and she will be bringing a bit of good & evil to Paragon here real soon Here we go with yet another character for Paragon coming at us here. Not only a new hero but another melee Carry Hero from Epic Games to bring more to the overall game and this time we get another Angel/Demon style character. At least this is all based on the following trailer for Paragon that shows Serath off in all of her glory. Gwent A new web app lets you build your own Gwent: The Witcher Card Game cards for fun or to use in your own Gwent decks for home use If you are such a fan of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game that even the beta isn't enough to hold you over until the full release then there is a new website just for you. A new site that lets you build your own cards for your own version of Gwent but not the one official one that CD Projekt RED is building for us. Mass Effect New gameplay for Mass Effect: Andromeda was promised out of the NVidia CES press conference and we got new Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay now We had the promise and it was delivered as we now have some new Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay to look at here right out of CES 2017. It does look like Bioware had originally wanted to reveal the launch date for the game at the event as the people showing off the new gameplay looked psyched to see the March 21th date on screen but we won't let that distract us from the gameplay here. Just like last year, the next Call Of Duty title has been given a tease and many have their thoughts on where Call Of Duty is going in 2017 Maybe you saw it or maybe you missed it with all of the New Years celebrating going on but the next installment of Call Of Duty has been teased out there in some manner. At least this is the speculation given what happened last year with Infinite Warfare and what Sledgehammer Games posted just at the beginning of the year.
