Horizon Zero Dawn Has Gone Gold & We Have A Good Look At The Collector's Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn It has been announced that Horizon Zero Dawn has officially gone gold and it looks like the first Horizon Zero Dawn collector's edition has been unboxed There is no backing out now as Horizon Zero Dawn has been hit with the wonderful Gold Status that we love to hear about for our video games. All of which generally happens about a month out from launch and such is the case here as Guerrilla Games has given us all the thumbs up that the game is gold and getting printed to disks as you read this. Well at least that is the thought as I am sure that there are other things that have to happen or could be going on for Horizon Zero Dawn at this exact moment but none the less this PS4 exclusive will not be seeing further delays. Friday The 13th: The Game Has A Few Changes Coming Out Of PAX South
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of January 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th During the PAX South panel Friday The 13th: The Game had some new changes shown off as well as a new Jason coming to Friday The 13th and other customization Just before PAX South we had a nice new trailer for Friday The 13th: The Game pop up and it showed off some new music and a new Jason mixed into the game now in terms of the Misfits and the Part 6 version of the character respectively. Of course if this was all that Gun Media had for us it would have been a bit pointless for them to have a solid panel down at the convention over the last weekend. Thankfully for all of us and Friday The 13th fans that was only a small sample to give us all something on the first 13th that fell on a Friday of the year. Read More...

New Horizon Zero Dawn Gameplay Shows Off A New Quest & Much More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn Some new gameplay for Horizon Zero Dawn has been placed out there that takes us through one of Horizon Zero Dawn's main quests while showing off other new features Today is the day that we start to get inundated with all kinds of Horizon Zero Dawn impressions and first looks. That is because the embargo has lifted for all of those other major outlets out there that had a chance to join Guerrilla Games as they showed off the latest build of the game on the PS4 just to get everyone even more hyped up for February 28th here. Of course that means that some will just be words and others just b-roll footage of Horizon Zero Dawn, but thankfully it looks like we have a new look at a main quest in the game right from the developers and it not only shows off how nice the game looks but also a few new features that have only been glossed over in the past so far. Seeing as this bit of gameplay takes place somewhere in the middle of Horizon Zero Dawn and also contains some minor spoilers, I'll break down a few of the new items so you can skip the video if you want to have a pure play through the first time. Gwent A new content update for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's beta is coming next week and will bring the Nilfgaard faction to Gwent in the process Gwent: The Witcher Card Game may still be in a closed beta setting here but it looks like the updates for the game's content will not be missing out on major things while we are getting prepped for the full release. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 28th of January 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site One more week of video games in the bag and yet again we had a whole lot to talk about here. So many great announcements and updates where had as well as a few new games getting their official launch or heading into a form of beta or another. Of course there was a whole lot for Resident Evil 7 this week due to all of this but that is not to discount the Injustice 2 news and the fact that we are all gearing up for the Conan Exiles early access next week. That and the upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands "beta" that will also be getting the kick off there as well. Read More...

Paragon Turns Down The Heat With Aurora As The Next Hero To Enter The Fight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Paragon The next hero to enter Paragon has been announced and we will see her and her icy powers in Paragon before the end of January Where does the time go as it looks like it has been yet another three weeks and now we have yet another Paragon hero getting added into the mix here. Well, at least getting added into the mix on January 31st as that will be the date that Aurora hops into the mix here on the PS4 and PC. That would be name of the new character that Epic Games has for us here in Paragon before you ask where I grabbed that name from. Maybe you already guessed that but I figured that I would cover all the bases here for now as sometimes basic intelligence seems to be lost on us for "reasons. Read More...

Just Another Bad Day At The Office Is What Looks To Have Caused The Surge
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
The Surge A new trailer for The Surge has popped up and this one aims to show us just what caused The Surge that we will be dealing with; at least the aftermath of Here we go with a better look at The Surge just before the big showcasing that is slated for next week. Well at least a better view at the general story that is being set up here by Deck 13 as this seems to be a bit more of a cinematic trailer than anything that shows off some new gameplay. Seeing as story is an important role in an action-RPG, I guess it is good that The Surge is looking to have a solid one for us to explore and in turn survive. Dystopian futures are some of the worst ones out there and we all may need a bit more training on this as of now so I guess it's good that it will be here in May for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC for us all to ingest. Mass Effect A new cinematic trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda has been released to tell some more story and we get briefed on more Mass Effect goings on in the universe I hope you are ready for some more excitement here today as it looks like we have more to look at for Mass Effect: Andromeda in both a cinematic way and a briefing way. Both of which not really showing much in terms of the gameplay but a lot more on the way of the world that BioWare is bringing to us. Or at least lack of world as it seems that is what we are on the hunt for still in Mass Effect: Andromeda based on the new cinematic trailer that we have here. Read More...

Soon We Will All Be Lost In The Horrors Of The Crow's Eye
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
The Crow's Eye A teaser for The Crow's Eye has been released to show off the dark environments of The Crow's Eye that we'll have to survive and solve puzzles in In the mix of all of the big horror going on today in gaming, let's take a moment to look at a smaller title that will be coming soon here in the way of The Crow's Eye. This is a new little title for the PC that will be launching here in Q1 of this year from 3D2 Entertainment and Nkidu Games that places us in a shutdown medical university with a very dark history. So dark that it was shut down in the game's world due to a lot of unexplained disappearances of students, police officers, and professors. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 1/16/17 — 1/20/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 21st of January 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site Put one more week in video games in the bag and then get ready for even more to come here in the next few weeks. Not only do we have some solid titles releasing like Resident Evil 7 and some new Early Access and betas with Conan Exiles and For Honor respectfully, but it looks like the ball has begun to roll on many other of those video games that we've been waiting to hear more about. Hells, we will also hopefully have a better view at Call Of Cthulhu and Werewolf: The Apocalypse during the big event from Focus Home at the start of February. It totally looks like things are trying to be made right in 2017 given how last year rolled out. Read More...

Werewolf: The Apocalypse Is Getting The Video Game Treatment Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of January 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Werewolf It has just been announced that Werewolf: The Apocalypse will be getting its own video game version for us to pretend to be a Werewolf out to save the world It seems like it wasn't that long ago that we were talking about a World Of Darkness MMO coming and then being canceled but now it looks like the universe is being brought back in video game form as we now have Werewolf: The Apocalypse getting the same treatment here. Yes, it looks like Paradox Interactive, the people who own the rights to the IPs, have given way for Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive to give bringing this part of the universe to life and hopefully success. Werewolf: The Apocalypse wouldn't be my own personal choice to come from the WoD here but at least it looks like they are still willing to give it a try and give gamers a taste of the table top games in the realm of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Call Of Cthulhu Shows Us The Depths Of Madness We Will Go To
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu A new trailer for Call Of Cthulhu has released and we get to see how far Pierce, Call Of Cthulhu's protagonist, will dive into madness Here we go with yet another interesting trailer for the upcoming Call Of Cthulhu game coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime this year. We've had a few good viewings of the game so far but here we get to see the level of madness that Cyanide Studios is crafting for us here in the game as well as a bit more of the story we will help unfold. Not only that, but as Call Of Cthulhu's character generally go insane no matter the medium you play it in, we also get to see what I am guessing is some of harsher stuff that the game's protagonist will go through as he investigates the weirdness going on in the game's world. Weirdness or madness, either one really works here for all of this. Read More...

Necromunda: Underhive Wars Is The Next Warhammer Title On Its Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Necromunda Another Warhammer title is in the works with Necromunda: Underhive Wars and it aims to tackle the Necromunda game in a tactical RPG setting Maybe you were sitting around and thinking that we needed another Warhammer 40,000 game out there after the success of Mordheim and that it also need to be set in the Necromunda setting of the classic game. It isn't just you as it looks like Rogue Factor was doing that too and so was Focus Home Interactive as they are working together to bring us yet another title in the universe just as described. Yes, now we have Necromunda: Underhive Wars here to be announced for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on its way due to all that success and also to bring another version of the universe off of the table and into a digital world setting. Get Ready To See The Nine Deaths Of Six In Little Nightmares
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Little Nightmares The release date for Little Nightmares has been set and it looks like Little Nightmares is also getting some rather cool bonuses to collect It looks like the date has been set and we now know when Little Nightmares will be hitting our PS4, Xbox One, and/or PC. Tarsier Studios has been hard at work to get us a really cool and creepy title to play here and it looks like we will all be diving in and watching Six die, or not, on April 28th here. The or not really refers to your ability to navigate the poor girl through the world of Little Nightmares and make sure she doesn't die and not the actually picking up of the game. It looks like a bunch of great titles we've all loved crammed into one big game with an amazing aesthetic so I'm pretty sure that many of us will at least give the game a try if not full purchase when it finally lands. Perception Is Expanding As It Now Looks Like The Game Will Hit The PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of January 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Perception First-person horror game Perception has just been slated to hit the PS4 as Perception is also slated for a release sometime this year Here we go with yet another video game that you may or may not remember is in the works but is getting an update and that title would be Perception. This would be the game that hit Kickstarter back in 2015 to help get The Deep End Games some funds to build and prosper. It is also the horror game that has us playing as a blind girl who has to use echolocation to move around the game's world to stay alive from all of the supernatural horrors dwelling within now. Now do you remember Perception or do you still need more? Read More...
