Metal Tweet Solid VII: Patriot Sons of Blue Foxtail
by Kevin [ Sunday, 28th of February 2010 - 08:57 PM ]
Though Twitter has not verified the account, those that have been following the Tweets of this account have been thoroughly convinced that Hideo Kojima has found his way into Twitter. Kojima has been doing his thing on Twitter for a few days now, and it's worth the translation effort just to walk along with him. There have been several tweets that provide evidence that it is in fact him as such his view from the top for instance. He also enjoys sharing the contents of his meals. Read More...

Not Your Parents Clash Of The Titans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 12:30 AM ]
Only a little more than a month away until the "remake" of the classic 1981 Clash Of The Titans hits theaters. For those who are early 80's movie retarded, it was a retelling of the Greek story of Perseus' persecution. Albeit a bit skewed from the original tale for film purposes, but a fun clay-mation driven film. The new film a deviation from the original from the looks of things, and not just the modern effects and CGI, but a bit of the story. The film is not what this is all about though. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of February 2010 - 06:24 PM ]
If you follow the PlayStation Blog or the official Twitter accounts for Sony, you have obviously heard that Sony is doing a reality show for the PSN specifically. A show called The Tester. Go! Virtua Augment On!
by Kevin [ Thursday, 28th of January 2010 - 05:40 PM ]
You know, with Sony flaunting their wand, Microsoft showcasing Natal, and Nintendo - well, doing what Nintendo does, I should not be as impressed with following video. But I am, and I am more excited about this than any project proclaimed by the previous companies. I see so much more in this than the horrible advertisement videos that Microsoft produces for Natal. This is a demo for some very cool augmented reality technology - watch it, and then tell me that you'd rather play "Microsoft Presents: Avatar Kickball Powered by Natal" more than this. It's Virtual Virtua On with a customized interface to give you the utmost in ARG mechanized warfare. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of January 2010 - 09:19 PM ]
Who bought Halo ODST just to get those exclusive maps for Halo 3 to play through? You know, those exclusive maps that brought your total count up to 24 maps to play on. Those maps that you could only get by buying ODST. Yea those ones. Well it would seem that they are no longer exclusives come next month. At least for those of you that have no issue shelling 800 Microsoft Points to get them added on to your Halo 3 multiplayer experience. Yes I am talking about the Heretic, Citadel, and Longshore maps. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of January 2010 - 09:51 PM ]
So, raise your hand if you were upset when Hellgate: London was shut down. Look at all those virtual hands out there that seemed so depressed that I brought this up again. But turn those sad hands and faces upside down, it looks like you will most likely be getting this wonderful game and it's servers back up and running in the not to distant future. Like sometime this year distant future. With a new upgraded version and more player to go along with that as well. Read More...

by Brian Bentley [ Saturday, 9th of January 2010 - 02:26 PM ]
Here at CES 2010, we had the opportunity to stop by and visit with Tritton Technologies to see the "next big thing" in gaming headsets.  Tritton's Aaron Smith took us around the booth giving us a guided tour of the AX-180, AX-720 and the AX-Pro.  He was kind enough to suffer through our questions and a video recording.  The did not have their upcoming release of a wireless version of the AX-180 at this show, but look for it at PAX East.  So, take a gander at the video Binh recorded and leave your comments on the products below. Review: Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 7th of January 2010 - 09:56 PM ]
Though Spirit Tracks is far from innovative, it boasts enough improvement in gameplay and graphics over Legend of Zelda’s previous release on the Nintendo DS, Phantom Hourglass, to insure its success.  Not every game has to be groundbreaking to entertain its audience.  Spirit Tracks takes fans of the Zelda franchise into another quest to save Hyrule – this time with Zelda’s spirit accompanying and assisting Link along the way.The story, including why you need to visit the Tower of Spirits, is not particularly innovative, but it has a certain amount of charm. A few generations after the adventure of Link and Tetra in Phantom Hourglass, peace reigns in Hyrule with Princess Zelda ruling. Read More...

by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 21st of December 2009 - 06:03 PM ]
“Play, Create, Share” is the motto for the newest Playstation Portable game Little Big Planet PSP. We all know how Little Big Planet when released for the Playstation 3; winning awards left and right and managing to win Game of the Year in many publications like GamePro, Edge and Eurogamer. The thing is, most of us already know how Little Big Planet (LBP) played on Sony's big black console and we here at Aggrogamer were curious just how it would play out on the often-overlooked PSP. Well let us utilize the motto to explore the PSP version of Little Big Planet. “Play”: Little Big Planet PSP is in no way a port from the PS3 to the PSP. Read More...

What I Want: Rock Band Franchise
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 14th of December 2009 - 12:47 AM ]
What I Want: From the Rock Band Franchise Recently I played Beatles: Rock Band and Lego Rock Band, and while one was looking back at a band's career and the other was geared to a younger crowd, they both did something that really caught my attention. They had a story, not just creating a band and playing songs at venues. You actually had a story to some gigs or had special concerts you held. I came to an instant revelation at this point. Smithsonian to host Video Game art.
by Ben Brody [ Saturday, 12th of December 2009 - 01:51 AM ]
So, presumably right before the world ends, the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington DC will host art that most of its denizens aren't used to: Video Game Art. Beginning on March 16th and lasting until September 9 in 2012 (or the end of the world, whichever comes first), the Smithsonian will host an exhibition covering everything from the Magnavox Odyssey (of which is already in the Smithsonian now) to the PlayStation 3 and everything in between. Video game art exhibitions aren't anything new, however big name players like Smithsonian have never had one. The Smithsonian said that not only will they have developer interviews, concept art, screenshots, rarely seen console concepts, game footage, and more, but they'll also take input from the public on what they would like to see. Well how about we throw some numbers at you and see if you think Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is worthy of this year's Game of the Year. If the Nintendo Entertainment System Was Left 4 Dead
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 17th of November 2009 - 05:07 PM ]
Eric Ruth, of the aptly named EricRuthGames, has designed what is probably one of the most entertaining things related to Left 4 Dead in recent memory. With Left 4 Dead 2 upon us, and all of the bells and whistles it provides, it is hard to imagine a time before these advanced graphics engines, intelligent scenario directors, and well... four player gameplay. To remind us all of the goodness of our past, Eric decided to create an 8-bit version of the game. Read More...
