Soon as in June 30th. For those keeping track that was yesterday as of this writing and Illfonic has released the codes to the backers of the game so they can take a look at the virtual cabin before the full release later on. the Friday The 13th virtual cabin is still only for the PC version of the game at this point but Gun Media has told us all that it will be the 3D museum for the game's collectibles and other fun Easter Eggs on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Resident Evil 7 After the Resident Evil 7 demo was shown and made available worries that Resident Evil 7 was becoming a ghost story popped up but now they are crushed A lot of buzz has been circulating for Resident Evil 7 since it was first shown to have been the VR demo a lot of us were horrified of playing a while back. More so since Capcom saw it fit to release the same demo that was on the show floor out there for every PS4 owner who happened to also be a PS+ subscriber. I've played through the Resident Evil 7 teaser a few times already myself like many others. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/20/16 — 6/24/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of June 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games That was another intensive week in video games now wasn't it? We are all still dealing with the aftermath of E3 this year as there was just so many video games we didn't get to fully cover last week and there are still more to come. It doesn't help when more on games like God Of War and Final Fantasy XV come out when trying to play catch up and everything. But we are here to do all of that and we have been able to do a decent job. Read More...

New Spider-Man Is In The Works But Not A Film Tie-In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Spider-Man During E3 it was revealed that Spider-Man was getting yet another title in the mix but this won't be a Spider-Man game tied into anything but the general lore Another one of the huge surprises out of E3 was the announcement of a new Spider-Man game coming into the mix. Maybe not a huge surprise given the agreement between Sony and Marvel for the IP but the bigger one would be that Insomniac Games is doing the building and that it will not be linked into the new film at all. In fact, this Spider-Man title will be a completely standalone title and unsurprisingly available for the PS4 sometime in the future. How long into the future is of course a good question as this is still a working title for the game but it would make sense to use the synergy of the new film; so maybe July of 2017… Of course as this is just an announcement and a tease for the new Spider-Man title, information for the game is still sparse. The Walking Dead Season 3 Is Coming & Bringing A Familiar Face
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead's third season has been revealed and it looks like The Walking Dead is jumping forward in time but keeping fan favorites If you were able to pay full attention to everything out of E3 then this may be old news to you but for those who were overloaded with news, then you may have missed that The Walking Dead season three is slated to start up sometime this Fall. Not only that but we have a nice little trailer out of Telltale Games and a few little tidbits on the game directly. Given the success of The Walking Dead in general it shouldn't have been that big of a shocker to see the third season coming but in this season it looks like the surprises are more in the game than that it is coming. E3 2016 Impressions — Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Styx While at E3 I was able to see Styx: Shards Of Darkness in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Styx: Shards Of Darkness One of the other smaller titles on the floor at E3 that I was excited for was Styx: Shards Of Darkness. This would be the sequel to one of the smaller cult classic titles that Cyanide Studios gave us back in 2014. It is a fun little stealth action title that builds off the story of Styx: Master Of Shadows and from the looks of things builds off the expanded power of the Unreal Engine that they just didn't have before. Thankfully we don't have much longer to wait as the game is still slated to launch later this year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions — Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Deus Ex While at E3 I was able to see Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Another huge title I know I was personally looking forward to during my voyage to E3 was Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Ever since the first time Eidos-Montreal fist announced it a while back I was stoked and ready to see how far they progressed the rebooted franchise given the greatness of Human Revolution. Thankfully Square Enix had Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in the mix of titles they were showing off and I was able to spy a nice long video demo of the game. Given that it releases on August 23rd for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC it felt a bit on the final stages so I am certain these formed thoughts will be up to snuff. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/13/16 — 6/17/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of June 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games Holy hells this was one intense week in video games now wasn't it? Of course with E3 taking place we had a lot to look out for and man did we get a whole lot of new information and new titles coming our way. I knew we would get to see something from God Of War but didn't expect to have seen Resident Evil 7 in the mix. I thought the most of the horror I was going to see was going to be from Friday The 13th: The Game. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions — Friday The 13th: The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th While at E3 I was able to see Friday The 13th: The Game in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Friday The 13th: The Game If there has been one game I was overly excited to see at E3 this year, that had already been announced, it was Friday The 13th: The Game. I’ve been so amped for this game since it was originally Summer Camp and now Illfonic and Gun Media have something solid for us all to see for the game. You may have seen some of it during their Twitch stream just before the event but if not then you are in the right place. Read More...

Resident Evil 7 Was In Front Of Us This Whole Time In VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Resident Evil 7 Looks like Resident Evil 7 had been shown off to us all a while ago but now Resident Evil 7 is officially launched and coming. If we put on our “way back” hats to a time where we heard about a demo called Kitchen we will now be able to recognize it as Resident Evil 7 and that the true horror had been shown to us quite a while ago now. During last night’s round of press events we all were able to witness a new VR experience from Capcom that many in the crowd were already murmuring Kitchen. As the demo carried on it played out just as before only a bit longer only to finally reveal that it was indeed Resident Evil 7 and that it has been in the making for a lot longer than we knew. This Week In Video Games 6/6/16 — 6/10/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of June 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This was a rough week, personally, but at least we had a whole lot of video games to keep everything flowing. We had a few confirmations like Watch Dogs 2 and Injustice 2 coming for E3 next week and we also had some great updates to other titles like XCOM 2 and Call Of Cthulu. This is also just the tip of the ice berg that will be the reveals and updates for video games though as we will be flushed with many more here in short order. E3 starts this weekend and this is when everything comes to light and into our eyes. Read More...

The Wastes Of Mars In The Technomancer Are Downright Rough
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The Technomancer The E3 trailer for The Technomancer has been released and this time we get a view of The Technomancer's Mars and the life that it has taken on Joining into the mix of titles getting a specific E3 trailer here is The Technomancer. Another title that should have been a given since Spiders is pumping it out here on June 28th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC so you'd think they would want to get it right out there. Not that we haven't seen a whole lot on The Technomancer up to now but now we have another fun trailer to show off just what the game's version of Mars has become. That would be the setting for the game for all of those who happen to only be hearing about the game right now. Read More...

Call Of Cthulhu Gets Its First Trailer To Drive Us Mad
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu The first trailer for Call Of Cthulhu has been released just before E3 and it gives us a taste of what Call Of Cthulhu will have for us at launch The wait is over now and we have our first trailer for Call Of Cthulhu to look upon. Sure we've had a few screenshot in the past from Cyanide Studios but they are just stills and we all want to see things in full motion. There is no denying that and now Focus Home Interactive has brought us a good look at Call Of Cthulhu just before E3 and well before its release in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Sadly though, in the usual manner, there isn't much to go on or any word that what we are about to see is true gameplay or just a nice cinematic for the game. Read More...
