Night Book The release date for Night Book is now set down with Night Book hitting us all before the end of this July It was first teased during this year's E3 and there was no release in site at all, but here we are with the announcement that Night Book will be hitting us in July. That is this month for those following along and while there are many days in it, Wales Interactive has set it down to give us the date of July 27th for when it will be hitting us on all of those platforms out there. That is quite an impressive turnaround from the announcement to the launch for Night Book, and it could pay off extremely well. I mean, as far as anticipation and waiting are concerned but not so much in the hype building and promotion for the indie FMV game that could be another home run for the developer and publisher here. Gollum The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum has a little more to see with some hype around how Gollum will encounter things we have never seen before The tease we had last week for The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum has finally paid off and we have a little more to look at for the game. We still have to wait until 2022 to get to play it, sure, but that does not mean that Daedalic Entertainment did not give us some things to take in to get hyped about. We have seen things that have shown it off to be a solid stealth game in this universe, which is further driven home here, but there is also talk about some parkour mixed in to it all as well. Kingdom Of The Dead A new retro FPS, Kingdom Of The Dead, is coming and it looks like Kingdom Of The Dead will play with some lights to give us some old fun There is certainly a run on "retro" style video games as of late as we add another to the list with Kingdom Of The Dead. Retro in the way that the teams are opting to go with the lower-end visuals and styles to bring us a new game and then hopefully focus on the gameplay mechanics a bit more. That is the hope once again with this new title as we have from Dirigo Games that looks the part. Gollum Gollum is here just before Nacon Connect to tease us with something new for The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum It has been a bit since we had anything of substance for The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum and… we are still going to have to wait a bit more. Night Book A new FMV game, Night Book, was teased during this year's E3 with Night Book showing off what remote work can accomplish Here we go with another one of the great FMV style video games getting teased and poised to hit us with Night Book. This would be one of the next titles that Wales Interactive and Good Gate Media will be bringing to us on all of the platforms out there when it does hit. It also happened to be a small thing to slip out there during E3 this year that might have gone unnoticed for a bit. Dark Alliance Dive further into the gameplay Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is going to offer up as we get more of those monsters making up the Dark Alliance too It is hard to believe that in only a few weeks we will be able to put hands on Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance for the consoles and PC. Vertigo Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo will be getting a video game version with Vertigo taking us down the narrative in a different way One more classic film is getting the video game treatment with the announcement of Alfred Hitchcock — Vertigo that we have here now. A new title coming out of Pendulo Studios and Microids for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC at some point during this year here. As the name dictates, it will follow some of the story from the film version of Vertigo in some form of inspiration of it all. So do not expect to see a shot for shot remake of the film for this game, but something more along the lines of just using the mental aspects of it all to direct it all down a path. Read More...

Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Gods, this was a fast week here for us and all of the lead-up for so many video games. A lead-up that will most likely pay off next week with the virtual E3 popping off and so many updates coming to us during the week. After The Fall The developers of After The Fall are here to offer up a look at how a new enemy in After The Fall will try to bring us down The horrors are creeping out much more in After The Fall with a closer look at another of the creatures shambling out there. This is a VR FPS title hitting all of the PC platforms and the PSVR for the PS4 and PS5 if Vertigo Games has anything to say about it. Something that they do here with the latest creature showcase for After The Fall where we get to see two new ones we will have to deal with. All on our own or with some friends in the same setting. God Of War The next God Of War title has been hit with a delay and we will be waiting until 2022 to head back into God Of War We are going to have to wait for Ragnarök to come just a bit more, as the next God Of War title has been delayed now. Not by a few months but delayed until 2022 now. It is sad news to have here as a huge God Of War fan, for sure, but Santa Monica Studio has yet to let me and most down by taking the time they need to make their games. That and the delay here is to make sure that they are able to keep the studio safe and healthy during the transitions we are still working with here. This feels like it is going to be the case we are going to have for a few of the other massive titles that had the majority of their development during the previous year here. Read More...

God Of Riffs Heavy Metal VR Rhythm game, God Of Riffs, will be hitting an Early Access in July to see if you really are the God Of Riffs out there When it comes to rhythm and VR games out there, we all know there is one leading the way, which is why it is nice to see another one going out there as we have for God Of Riffs. It is one coming from Boss Music Games and Vyersoft for the Oculus hardware via Steam that looks to bring the style of game to those who prefer some harder music out there. Harder by the way of God Of Riffs bringing some heavy metal music in the flow of it all while using the basic gameplay loop we have seen in other rhythm games out there. Read More...

Bygone Dreams The announcement for Bygone Dreams is here to give us a new adventure game with Bygone Dreams heading down a few different folklore paths If there is one thing that video games are good for, it is giving the world different looks at different cultures with titles like Bygone Dreams, which was just announced. I mention all of that due to the fact that this one will be bringing us more of that unique Slavic folklore in the world and from developers, Prime Time Studio, that we generally do not get to see on the world's stage as often as others. Apsulov Apsulov: End Of Gods will be releasing on the consoles here soon with Apsulov hitting the last and next-gen systems in the mix A little bit ago we all had a chance to see that Apsulov: End Of Gods was out on the PC for the vast amount of gamers to give a futuristic Viking horror title to experience.
