by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of April 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We finally made it through one more week and were able to get to as many of those video games out there as we normally do. That seems like a small feat, but it was something impressive with all we had for Oddworld: Soulstorm before launch, a new look at Hello Neighbor 2, a couple bits of extended footage for Kena, and a review for the just-released Evil Genius 2 in the mix. It was a busy week indeed for all of these video games and ourselves over here as well. We made it and can now kick back with a bit of relaxation as the weekend kicks off. Read More...

Of Bird And Cage Shreds Out There This Coming May
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Of Bird And Cage Playable Music Album, Of Bird And Cage, has a release date and we will be able to play this downward spiral of story in Of Bird And Cage this coming May We may have let Of Bird And Cage slide under the radar too long over here, as here we are first talking about it and now we have a release date for the title. A title that is slated as a playable album that is loosely based on Beauty & The Beast, all coming from Capricia Productions. Of Bird And Cage looks to be more of the basic affair when it comes to some of the video game stories and visuals we have, but it sounds (pun intended) as if we will be able to see how this story ends by "playing the songs" that go along with the choices. Review — DARQ: Complete Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of March 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
DARQ We sit down and review DARQ: Complete Edition. A next-gen upgrade for a dark puzzle game. Here is our review of the DARQ upgrade DARQ made a bit of a splash back in 2019 when it first brought its unique look and puzzle gameplay onto the scene. It also flew under the radars of quite a few gamers out there when Unfold Games offered it all up. It happens sometimes and we are all guilty of missing out on titles. That is why I am glad to be back with the DARQ: Complete Edition now that Feardemic wanted to make sure that it was brought to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch again. Read More...

Six Days In Fallujah Will Make Things Procedurally More Realistic
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of March 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Fallujah Six Days In Fallujah will be offering us all procedural maps and neighborhoods to add extra realism to this version of Fallujah Those thinking that Six Days In Fallujah is going to be another shooter that will just be using some real-world settings will soon be wrong on that assumption here. A new gameplay element from Highwire Games is listed for the game that will add an extra level of realism to the game maps that we generally do not see. It looks as if all of the buildings and neighborhoods in this version of Fallujah will be procedurally generated to keep things fresh and the same level of uncertainty that would truly be out there in the unfamiliar environments. The Fabled Woods Will Be Offering Up Some Higher-End Visuals
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of March 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Fabled Woods Have a look at The Fabled Woods as we get to see how using the NVIDIA enhancements to make The Fabled Woods shine just a bit more This week we get to see The Fabled Woods finally hint our PCs out there and then we can dive deeper into all it has to offer. For those out there that seem to have a bit more power on their side when it comes to their machines, it does look like CyberPunch and Headup are ready to deliver on all of that with a few cool looking features we can activate. More than just the basics of ray-tracing and lighting, but it does look as if The Fabled Woods will be among the first titles out there to utilize some of these new capabilities to enhance how our video games will look and interact in the space. As long as you are still able to get the hardware that is required for all of this. Read More...

Gotham Knights Has Been Hit With A Delay Until Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of March 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Gotham Knights A delay has hit Gotham Knights and now it looks like we are going to have to wait a year longer for Gotham Knights You most likely figured it out by now, but it does look as if Gotham Knights will no longer be heading out to us this year. Yes, we have a new delay and it looks like WB Games Montréal needed to make the call to push it out until 2022. When in 2022 is still up for debate but that is when we should start looking to see Gotham Knights hit the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Maybe this will all be for the best and give us a few more things to keep us all going into the future. Read More...

Chasing Static Brings Some Low-Poly Visuals For The Current Generation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of March 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Chasing Static The reveal of Chasing Static is here with Chasing Static giving us a low-poly game on the current-generation systems out there It seems like it is all the rage as of late to go back to a "classic" look with their video games and here we are with the reveal for Chasing Static. This would be another title that is diving into the PS1-era visuals but for the PC and consoles current and next-gen. Headware Games it taking a bit of the time to it all to offer up this title in Q3 of this year and give fans of this style of video game a new experience. It is a bit of an off thing to take in here for Chasing Static as the HUD looks like it is out of this era but the rest of the game looks to take those elements we had decades ago and thrust them back into our lives.
