Nobody Wants To Die In Mafia 3, But It's Going To Happen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 A new trailer for Mafia 3 has been released and this new Mafia 3 video comes with a new Ice Cube song to get stuck in your head Tomorrow (10/7) is the big day as Mafia 3 will finally be in all of our homes and ready for us to take up the streets and bring down the Italian Mob. There has been a whole lot of videos and updates for the game out of Hangar 13 since its first announcement and now it is hard to believe that the day is finally here. That is not why you are here though as in celebration of Mafia 3 hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow, 2K Games has a new trailer for us and it looks to give a great overview of the game as well as a nice new song from Ice Cube mixed right in. Something written just for the game even though we don't get much new information out of anything here. Read More...

Amazon Game Studio Is Bring Us A Trio With New World, Breakaway, And Crucible
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
New World Three new games have been announced, New World, Breakaway, And Crucible, from Amazon Games Studios and all three have a description and videos for New World, Breakaway, And Crucible It's not every day that we get three titles announced from one developer but TwitchCon is a fun thing and now we have New World, Breakaway, and Crucible to look at. All three of which are in the works from Amazon Game Studio and headed to the PC at some time in the near future. The most interesting part about New World, Breakaway, and Crucible is that it looks like all three will have some pretty intense Twitch add-ins but the full details are still not completely defined just yet. Paragon Has Another Hero Fall From The Skies With Kwang
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Paragon A new hero for Paragon is coming and this one brings some great sword work to Paragon among many other things Tomorrow marks another day and another hero coming to Paragon for all of us to learn how to master and destroy everything else with. As Epic Games continues to build up the roster to crazy levels for the game we get what feels like another character we've seen before on the surface added into the fray. Of course I could be wrong as looks can be deceiving but we won't know until the next Paragon update goes live on October 4th for the PS4 and PC version of the game. Kwang is part of the free content that we will forever be getting as it seems so we can rest assured there at least. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/26/16 — 9/30/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of September 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games One more week in the world of video games is in the bag yet again. Oddly this week started out a bit slow on the news side of things and then it seemed like everything exploded onto the scene shortly after. We had plenty of Mafia 3 to cover yet again and other, smaller video games like Sundered and Here They Lie get mixed into it all. Not to mention a review for the latest episode of Batman from Telltale. Read More...

Combat Is Yet Another Skill We'll Have To Master In Mafia 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 Another gameplay video for Mafia 3 has been released and this one shows off the various forms of combat Mafia 3 will give us One of the key points in Mafia 3 was of course all of the crazy combat that we've seen since the first announcement of the game. It has been showcased many times by Hangar 13 over the last few months and apparently it looks like 2K Games thinks that we may still not fully grasp what we are going to get to do in the game. I know I was pretty set on what Mafia 3 was going to bring us in terms of combat on October 7th here but maybe some of you have missed out so far. That or maybe some of you just want to see some badass combat gameplay. Read More...

Let's Spoil The Prologue Of Gears Of War 4 For You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of September 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Gears Of War 4 A new Gears Of War 4 video has been posted and this time we get to see the first twenty minutes of Gears Of War 4 in action before launch October 11th is almost here and that means that Gears Of War 4 is also almost here. I'm sure that The Coalition is starting to freak a bit as the date looms ever closer but at this point all they have to do is sit and wait to see how well it sells on the Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms. I'm going to guess rather well personally. Given the nature of the beast that is Gears Of War 4 though it looks like they aren't going to just kick back and wait as now they are here with a nice long bit of gameplay. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — A Journey's End?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of September 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — A Journey's End?. This is the final episode of Telltale's take on Mojang's famed Minecraft franchise. Here's our review on how they did He we go with the final leg of Minecraft: Story Mode as the eight episode of the IP has been released and we can see how this story is finally going to end. It has been one trek for us with Telltale Games and Mojang's franchise as we were given a story to a game that generally doesn't have one set up. Even with all of the Minecraft celebrities and all that there hasn't been one concise story until now. Read More...

Review — Batman: The Telltale Series — Children Of Arkham
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Telltale Series — Children Of Arkham. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did The time has come and the second episode of Batman: The Telltale Series is here and we get to see if the momentum from the first episode keeps going or not. Telltale Games did knock it out of the part with the first episode for me but with the chance that the story could change drastically or the gameplay could falter at any episode there is a chance. None the less this should be when all hell breaks loose in the story and builds toward the true climax in some way just as all Batman comics, games, and films usually do by this point. Read More...

Sundered Has Been Announced And Test Your Sanity And Survival Skills
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of September 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Sundered A new title, Sundered, has been announced and Sundered looks to bring back some of the great Metroid and Castlevania platforming to us all In the mix of all the larger titles that are being announced and shown off here as of late it is a bit refreshing to see a smaller title like Sundered get the full announcement and everything. This would be the follow up title from Thunder Lotus Games here that brings us back into the Metroid and Castlevania style of gameplay all with some amazing hand-drawn art. I'm not talking that Sundered has hand-drawn art here to look at in terms of concept but that the game is going to have that look and feel in the final game when it launches in 2017 for the PS4, Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. Mafia 3 Gets A Lot More Gameplay Shown Off Just Before Launch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 Another fifteen minutes of Mafia 3 gameplay has been shown at Gamescom and TGS and we have that Mafia 3 gameplay right here for you In just about two weeks we are going to be getting Mafia 3 on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. It's crazy to think that the date is approaching that fast and I bet Hangar 13 is going a little mad with anticipation given the October 7th release date. Of course that also means more of 2K Games promoting Mafia 3 as they have been for the last few months and showing off little bits of gameplay. Some small and just for the web and some rather huge for gaming conventions and showcases. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/19/16 — 9/23/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of September 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games Thus concludes our week of video games. Another solid week and not so many bad bits of news and delays. Of course that doesn't mean it was all happy and bouncy but in the world of video games that never seems the case. Thankfully we had some solid things like a new Jason and Counselor for Friday The 13th, the next episode of King's Quest finally coming, and all of the death dealing coming to Dishonored 2. A lot of videos and a lot of fun for the week and just the way it needs to be as we press on into the review season here. Read More...

It's Time To Make Money And Run Guns In Mafia 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of September 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 Two new videos for Mafia 3 have popped up and they both show off the aspects of Mafia 3 we are all concerned about; making money and weaponry We almost went a whole week without a solid Mafia 3 update now didn't we? Yes 2K Games announced that new mobile game earlier in the week but I'm talking about an update for the Hangar 13 version of the game that will have us all buried in our systems trying to run everything in New Bordeaux. Both come out on October 7th but we are here right now to have a look at not one but two new updates for Mafia 3 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Both about two of the big things we're all going to be concerned with; the guns and the money. Read More...

Resident Evil: Vendetta Gets Its First Trailer For Us To Gaze Upon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of September 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Resident Evil The new CG movie, Resident Evil: Vendetta, has a new trailer and it looks like it could be a great addition to the Resident Evil lore in general There were murmurs of a new film coming to the franchise and it looks like Resident Evil: Vendetta is it and now we have a trailer to look at for the film. Okay, to be honest it really wasn't murmurs but there was word out of Capcom that we should expect to see another CG film in the franchise. Now we have the first look at Resident Evil: Vendetta and then the hopes that it will be coming anywhere outside of Japan sometime in 2017 as it is still only listed for that region and with a Spring 2017 release date for theaters over there. Mafia 3: Rivals Is Aiming To Take Over Our Mobile Devices Just Like The Streets
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 A new mobile game, Mafia 3: Rivals, has been announced and it looks to bring a little bit of Mafia 3 to our phones and tablets Good news for all of you mobile gamers out there who are apparently not gaming on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC as Mafia 3: Rivals has just been announced and coming to the iOS and Android systems. No, 2K Games isn't porting over the full other game but it looks like Cat Daddy Games has crafted a mobile tie-in game to keep us going when on the move. I also think that stating this is a tie-in to Mafia 3 might be a little overzealous on my end too as it could be something a bit different. Read More...

Review — The Bunker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Bunker We sit down and review The Bunker. It has a new and dark take on the point and click genre. Here's our review of The Bunker We caught wind of The Bunker not that long ago but it definitely piqued our interest over here with the creep factor as well as the fun twist on the point-and-click genre of game. While Splendy Games isn't breaking new ground on using live actors for the visuals and gameplay, it is something that we don't usually get. Not only that but Wales Interactive helped take The Bunker out to a real world bunker to capture all of the performances and interactions to make sure it felt authentic. Read More...
