This Week In Video Games 12/26/18 — 12/28/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 29th of December 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Thus concludes this year's coverage of the world of video games. We will obviously be back in 2019, but here we are at the end of 2018 and riding the fun wave all the way. There are still a few more days until then, but this will be our last one until then as I doubt we will see much more for those video games like Jump Force and Resident Evil 2 before then. I mean, there could be some other updates for games like Afterlife before then, but I do not think that will happen. Read More...

The Obligatory 2018 Video Games Year In Review List
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Video Games There were a lot of video games that came out in 2018 and we tried to review as many video games as we could. Here’s a recap of them all The year is finally over and there were a lot of great video games that came out. There were also a lot of shitty ones in the mix as well. Just like every year, there were all over the place and we had a chance to give a good chunk of them all a play and thus a review. Hells, we even had more indie-based video games mixed in to add an extra level of interest here. It, of course, is not a list of all video games that came out this year but it is a list of what we had to experience over here in our little part of the world. Read More...

Relive The Story That Will Lead Up To Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Metro A nice recap of the Metro story so far is here to get us all ready for when Metro Exodus finally launches next year It has been some time between the last title in the series and when we will be seeing Metro Exodus. About five years or so have passed by in the real world and about two in the game world. There is a whole lot of information that we could have missed or let slip through since 4A Games delivered us a title in the franchise. That means that there is a lot riding on Metro Exodus at this point so we may need to recap a few things before diving in on February 15th. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 12/17/18 — 12/21/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 22nd of December 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We are almost at the last week of video games of the year as we head towards Christmas and then New Years. Weirdly, this year did not seem to slow down as we made it to the end and we will all take that. From new things to look at for Devil May Cry 5 and Kingdom Hearts over to other updates for Control and Resident Evil it does not look like we are going to hit a wall here in 2018. At least in terms of video games that is. Read More...

The Final Word Of J. Jonah Jameson Is Here For Spider-Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Spider-Man The final DLC for Spider-Man is here and we have one more update via Just The Facts to show us what we can expect for Spider-Man yet again The final DLC of the Season Pass for Spider-Man is now officially here for us all to download and experience. I have a feeling it will be the final DLC for the game outside of costumes and other little things, unless Insomniac Games surprises us with more out the blue. I would rather have a full new story and game instead of little bits here for Spider-Man, but I am not the one calling the shots over there. Only time will tell for now as we have yet another reason to pop back on to the game and our PS4. Read More...

Learn The Basics Of The Gameplay For Degrees Of Separation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Degrees Of Separation A new video for Degrees Of Separation is here to take us through the basics of Degrees Of Separation and how we can play the game co-op or solo You may have heard a lot about Degrees Of Separation, and seen a little bit before now, but now we are here with the first gameplay out there to show off just what we can expect from this game when it lands on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on February 14th. It has been a long time coming and Moondrop has not been able to give us too much to date. We kind of knew about the two main characters and how this would be a co-op platformer of sorts. Control’s World Is Expanded Just A Bit More Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Control The next trailer for Control is here to take us back into the Oldest House again and show off more of what the Federal Bureau of Control are dealing with Get ready for more of that “new weird” we keep hearing about for Control as we have yet another trailer for the game that goes into just a bit more of all of that. Not too much as it looks to be a lot of the same visuals we have had a few times, but there is some new narration that further explains a bit more of the history in the world being built by Remedy here. That is always a good thing when dealing such strangeness as we have since Control was first announced. Read More...

Try To Make It Out Of The School Of Death In Last Year: The Nightmare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Last Year Last Year: The Nightmare has launched on Discord and we can see what is in store for us as we see some of the gameplay for Last Year right now Here we are again at that wonderful time of year when it is time to go kill some students and make it out alive over the holiday break with Last Year: The Nightmare. At least for those of us willing to give the game a go on the PC via Discord as Elastic Games’ title has now launched there with other platforms to follow next year. Assuming that all goes well here in this version of it all. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 15th of December 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Thus concludes another fun week in the world of video games here. More or less trying to catch up on all of the news that surprised us at the end of last week, but we finally were able to get to it all. We did not even have a chance to get to everything. Even after taking in the news of video games like Hades and World War Z, we still had many other smaller titles fall through. Read More...

Conan Unconquered Is Announced & Taking Us Back To Strategy Games
by Duke Searles [ Friday, 14th of December 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Conan A new Conan game has been announced and this one is going to bring in more of a strategy feel as Conan Unconquered brings on more of the RTS I know I have been waiting for another Conan title to release out there to bring me back into the fun mix of the world and universe that was created with the IP. Sure, there has been Exiles from Funcom as of late, but that title never truly caught my eye as the style is not my normal play style. Something I have been waiting for is another true RTS and now it looks like one of the masters of it, Petroglyph Games, will be bringing us a new on set in this universe. Read More...

Metro Exodus Gold status has hit Metro Exodus and with that comes a few release date changes bringing the launch of Metro Exodus closer than expected The release date for Metro Exodus has been shifted again, but in this instance, it is a good thing. At least for those who have been waiting to get their hands on the latest from 4A Games. The game has finally gone gold and it will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC a week earlier than expected. Now we will be able to start playing Metro Exodus on February 15th of 2019 instead of February 22nd as we were told by Deep Silver the last time we had a release date to go for the game. Read More...

Spider-Man’s Final Chapter Is Just About To Strike
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of December 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Spider-Man The third and final DLC for Spider-Man has a release date and it looks like even more Spider-Man suits are coming our way for cross-promotion It has been one hells of a run for Spider-Man on the PS4 so far and it is all coming to an end. At least in terms of DLC as the third and final bit is dropping out there on December 21st now. Unless Insomniac Games has more for us hidden away for a surprise, this will be the end of the cycle as we wait for there to be the most likely sequel. For that, it feels like the team just has to have the want to do it and a new Spider-Man title will be greenlit. Read More...

Go Back In Time With New Gameplay For Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Ancestors A plethora of new gameplay is here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey so you can see just how the game has evolved to the Ancestors we have now Finally we have some of the first real gameplay to look at here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey all fresh from The Game Awards. Sure, we have had some nice little teases from Panache Digital Games in the past with some screenshots, but that is not true gameplay. Given that this is a huge deviation of gameplay style for the creative director of some Assassin’s Creed, there is a lot riding on Ancestors before it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In terms of reputation more than anything as this is a deviation from what we know. Read More...

Try To Defy The God Of The Underworld In Hades
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Hades A new rogue-like dungeon crawler, Hades, is announced and challenges you to escape the Underworld that Hades lords over Going down the list of new games announced during The Game Award again, we have another rogue-like dungeon crawler to add into the mix called Hades. Wait, what? Yes, it looks like someone has gone and worked on a game all about the big guy and that someone would be Supergiant Games. Awesome. That is unless you are looking for something that is accurate to the source material that the God of the Underworld is actually from. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 12/3/18 — 12/7/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 8th of December 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Yet another week in the bag for all of our favorite video games out there. This was a big one as it started off the wrap up for this year as we had The Game Awards yet again and it brought a whole lot of other fun into our lives as well. Nothing in terms of Resident Evil 2 as we had the rest of the week, but we did get to see that Mortal Kombat 11 is officially coming and coming real soon. We also had a chance to get our review out there for Arca’s Path in the mix of all of those other updates for our favorite or anticipated video games. Read More...
