US Gets PWNed By Capcom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of April 2008 - 04:55 PM ]
Resident Evil O Wii Only In Japan So when I first heard of this game coming out, I got excited. Cause at the time, it was just announced that they were working on putting out the WiiMake of this good old GameCube game. If only they would have left it that way. The making it seem like it was coming out everywhere. Well things have changed and it is only slated to come out in Japan. That put a sad face on me. Read More...

Resist The PWNages
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of April 2008 - 04:13 PM ]
Resistance FOM 2 Teaser So if you haven't seen or heard about Resistance, one of the best Launch titles for the PS3, you need to get out more. Or at least surf the net more. It is really worth it if you have not given it a good old college go. I won't say it is the Halo of the PS3, but Resistance is a great game. And well, here's the teaser for the sequel to the game. It's not game play footage or anything, it is mainly just a "Hey Look At Me" kind of thing. Read More...

People PWN The Normal Stats
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of April 2008 - 04:37 PM ]
Interesting Poll Results So I was trolling along the interwebs today. After reading more about the a$$ clowns that beat the girl over MySpace sh*t. I'm thinking about the world and where we are headed. Then I see the above poll results from WhatThePlay.com, then I realized that we truly are into the downward spiral. Look at the stats and then continue down with me to the next paragraph. Ok, so on the offence meter, the violent one is near the bottom of the list. Read More...

EA Totally Unreal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of April 2008 - 04:02 PM ]
EA Games to Use Unreal 3 Engine If you haven't picked up Unreal Tournament, I would highly recommend it. It is a great game and it is an awesome engine to putter around with. Actually working on a full game mod with a armature development team. From what we've got so far, this engine is phenomenal. The image is not a rendered 3D film, but actual gameplay graphics. Now onto why I've been giving some good ass kissing to the engine and the actual topic of this Narticle. Read More...

by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Friday, 4th of April 2008 - 12:29 PM ]
GTA IV edited for Australia - Australian gaming citizens; you're getting a very special edition of Grand Theft Auto IV. It's still packed with "strong violence, strong coarse language, drug and sexual references", but it's clear something has been cut. Read More...

$1 Million Intel Make Something Unreal Contest
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Friday, 4th of April 2008 - 01:59 AM ]
Epic Games has now launched their new "Make Something Unreal" PC game mod contest. Sponsored this time by Intel, the contest will give aspiring game creators a way to win cash and prizes for making mods based on Epic's Unreal Tournament 3. Over $1 million in cash and prizes will be given to the winners and just like the first "Make Something Unreal" contest (for mods made with UT 2003/2004) the new version will have a grand prize of a full Unreal Engine 3 license for the overall best mod. Last time the winner was Tripwire Interactive for their Red Orchestra mod; they later formed a full dev team and released the game as a stand alone commercial title. Judging will begin in June 2008 in the first phase of the contest; the final winners will be determined in fall 2009 after all four phases are complete. Read More...

Sony PWNs Self?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of April 2008 - 05:09 PM ]
Feel the Shock Next Week! I really am not a big fan of April 1st. Like I've said before, I am a fan of a good joke, but when it comes to actually reporting something that means anything yesterday was a trial. Hence why I only found one object to post about and it was about a fake video anyway. But now back to actually reporting fun news in the gaming world. So it looks like Sony is revving up their release for the new Dual Shock 3 controller. Originally it was due out on the 15th, but it looks like it will be here a week early. Read More...

Over the weekend a handful of updates were released for all you STEAM users out there. If you've already restarted your Steam client since yesterday then it's already been installed. First off, Valve updated the Steam client last week, fixing some bugs and compatibility problems that some of you may or may not have been experiencing. And then again yesterday came two update bundles for those of you who have either FRONTLINES: Full of War and/or Garry's Mod on your Steam account. In the answers to our hopes and prayers, Valve has made a good impact an some common problems experienced during game and fixing bugs responsible for many crashes (God knows my Gmod crashes all the time). Enjoy Gaming In 3D
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of March 2008 - 03:57 PM ]
Wii Head Tracking powers new 3D game Not the most creative of titles, but, well...whatever. A long while back, before we had the Narticle section, I posted a bunch of things about the Wii and PS-Eye head tracking systems that people are working on. They were just basic tracking things that would move just some dots or basic targets on the screen depending on where your head is. The Wii had a set of glasses for this. They looked very clunky and a lot like the old VR goggles of yore. Read More...

They just don't give up, do they?
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Wednesday, 26th of March 2008 - 07:18 PM ]
In light of the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV, I figured I'd deliver you all some more updates on EA's attempt to buy out Take-Two!Earlier this year EA attempted put out a bid on Take-Two, parent company to Rockstar and 2K games, and were rejected. After trying to make a bid again last month, EA once again ups it's anny and puts out yet another bid out on Take-Two. And once again - they got rejected!Although the press release on T2's site is pretty much written in Wall Street-lingo wrapped in an abundance of legal mumbo-jumbo, I was able to gather some details: -EA has upped it's offer to $26 a share for stock-holders of Take-Two.
