Review: WET
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 21st of September 2009 - 12:37 PM ]
Are you ready to get WET? Artificial Mind and Movement, the game's developers, sure hope you are. WET has been in the works for a long time, originally set to release under Sierra, but eventually dropped when acquired by Activision. It finally found its home amongst Bethesda Softworks. So will you dip your hands into this title and get them WET? WET, this is a shortened term for wetworks, which involves a messy job that involves hands being wet with blood. This is where our heroine, Rubi Malone (voiced by Eliza Dushku), comes into the picture. Read More...

Dexter Comes to Your iPhone
by Andy [ Monday, 21st of September 2009 - 06:14 AM ]
I like Dexter. I know it's wrong to like him, what with all the murdering he does and stuff, but as one of TV's most intriguing antiheroes, you have to give him credit for being one of the most likeable serial killers in the history of television. When I first heard about Dexter: The Game all [... Read More...

Torchlight - The Vanquisher Trailer
by Brian Bentley [ Saturday, 19th of September 2009 - 06:29 AM ]
Runic Games and their publishing partner, Perfect World Entertainment, released a trailer this week demonstrating the power and grace of the third and final class, The Vanquisher. For those of you that have followed Aggrogamer since E3, we've been big fans of Torchlight and I believe this trailer is a great example of what this title can bring you. This woman is part soldier, part ninja and all explosive. Mainly a ranged weapons user, she can fire on one target, use a spread to hit many or use the environment, bouncing off walls or going around corners. Read More...

A possible leaked trailer for Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was released last night. Yes i know it says Alpha version, and everything says Internal Use only, but this looks like something directed towards the gamer audience. A "hey look at this trailer and get excited" type deal. Obviously it doesnt matter where it came from because it's pretty freaking awesome! The official announcement from CDProjekt “Of course, we can’t and won’t try to deny the facts. The movie that appeared on the various sites yesterday presents our newest project, The Witcher 2, which we’ve been working on for some time. Read More...

Hell Or Rapture?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of September 2009 - 04:48 PM ]
Damn you 2K and EA! Damn you both to Tartarus! Jokingly that is. But you both have made my February and thus Valentines Day/Desperation Day much more stressful than I was hoping for. Hopefully the little lady will understand why I am glued to my PS3 and PC. First Dante's Inferno and now BioShock 2 on 2/9/10. That's right. Just announced, BioShock 2 will be out simultaneously on all three platforms on the ninth day of February in our Lords 2010th year. Read More...

Call of Duty: Galactic Warfare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of September 2009 - 02:45 PM ]
Now here is some friggin' dedication to two great franchises, Call of Duty and Star Wars. How much dedication? Well enough to do a total conversion of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and replace all the locations, NPCs, and weapons with all things Star Wars. By all things Star Wars I'm talking the stuff from the good films. You know, numbers four to six in Lucas' messed up numbering system for so long ago. Something that is almost as bad as how Capcom use to be with Street Fighter. Read More...

Review: NHL 10
by Ben Brody [ Friday, 18th of September 2009 - 12:30 PM ]
NHL 10. NHL 09 was hands down the best hockey game of all time, and NHL 10 builds on that. So it's not as much of a leap from NHL 09 as Madden 10 was to Madden 09, but it is a big step in the right direction. And perhaps not taking a leap from NHL 09, which won a slew of sports game of the year awards, is a good thing. NHL 10 keeps the tradition that NHL 09 had, mix in a fairly realistic mode (an ultra realistic mode can be played in the game, with 20 minute periods and everything) with enough arcadiness to not turn off casual players, and have yourself some fun. The graphics are the same as is the audio, another job well done by Gary Thorne and Bill Clement (although they probably only spent about 5 hours recording the new audio), and the new crowd sounds make it feel that much more real. Follow The Yellow Brick Road
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 16th of September 2009 - 09:50 PM ]
Sometimes you find a game that really doesn't get much recognition, but it looks innovative and graphically impressive at the same time. The Wizard of Oz: Beyond The Yellow Brick Road is just that. Media Vision, producers of the Wild Arms series, is bringing this Japanese released title "RIZ-ZOWAD" to north American retailers on September 29th 2009. The Wizard of Oz is a turn based RPG title following the adventures of the Dorothy, Toto, Tin-man, Scarecrow, and Lion. I'm sure we all know the story, but this game is sure to twist it around and make it it's own. Read More...

Assassinating Variety
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of September 2009 - 07:38 PM ]
In Assassin's Creed the missions were awesome the first time you played the mission type. After the 20th time you had to find an informant before you could go and assassinate someone it got very repetitive. I know I got bored with these missions very fast and wouldn't have completed the game had it not been for a very intriguing story. But that was the saving grace for me. That and my unmatched need to finish a game while grabbing all the little story elements as possible. Read More...

Sneaking In Early Is Totally Metal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of September 2009 - 10:19 PM ]
So I'll be honest and tell you that I have yet to watch the video below. In fact, I refuse to watch it. But that shouldn't stop me from letting other people who want to watch it from enjoying it. In case you haven't skipped my words yet and just clicked play, the video below is the first 5 minutes and 46 seconds of what you can expect to be at the beginning of Brütal Legend. The opening cinematic to be exact. Why have I not watched this clip yet? Read More...

EA Announces Skate 3, Releases Trailer
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 15th of September 2009 - 08:18 PM ]
Today Electronic Arts announced another sequel to their immensely popular Skate series. Originally built as a competitor to Activision's Tony Hawk series, the Skate series won immediate recognition from critics and fans alike. Today's announcement says that co-op and team building will be of great importance in this newest title. This seemingly includes online and offline co-op, along with team challenges and battles that smell MMO-ish to me. Of course, the possibility of a persistent online skateboarding world is not half as frightening as how the time between releases is shrinking. Read More...

Have I Got A Story For You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of September 2009 - 04:26 PM ]
It is the job of trailers to get people excited about the product coming out. It's generally short version of the awesome that is in store for you when you get the full version. That or a small release of information that makes you look at the product and say, "Well shit the bed! That is awesome!" Something that they new Character Trailer for 2K Games and Gearbox Software's upcoming game Borderlands. I will admit that this game was a very small blip on my radar. I won't lie like those sites that review games with out playing them. Read More...
