This review has a few spoilers for Resident Evil 5 in it. This DLC takes place near the end of the game and talks about some major story parts. If you have yet to play Resident Evil 5 all the way through, you have been warned. Just when you think you have seen all you have of Resident Evil 5, Capcom adds in yet more to the story. Well at least they expand on the story by showing you what some of the other characters were up to while Chris and Sheva were off saving the world from the Zompocalypse. This time around, it is what happened to Josh, Sheva's militant mentor, and Jill Valentine, after you emancipate her from Wesker's mind control. Read More...

The Blue Bomber In High Definition?

You know, this Eric Ruth guy is quickly becoming one of my favorite people. Not being content with creating a Left 4 Dead drenched in 8-bit nostalgia, this guy took it upon himself to recreate Mega Man 9 in High Definition. To accomplish this, he had to redo every element of the game, from enemy art to music. So essentially what he has done thus far is take a really high profile current title and give it the retro treatment. Now he has taken what is essentially a retro title - outfit it in high profile-y type goodness - and condensed it into a finely tuned package of incredibly awesome. Read More...

Mini Review: Resident Evil 5: Lost In Nightmares

Only a few weeks now until the new Gold Edition of Resident Evil hit's shelves for first time players of the game to get the biggest bang for their buck. Or if you are an old player, to enjoy the behind the scenes parts of the game for the first time. Primarily, in the instance of Lost in Nightmares, the weird flash backs that Chris has about Jill through out Resident Evil 5. Also done in a very interesting spoiler free way. Little Red In My Resident Evil 5

Well, the day is finally here where the entire console gaming community can get all those new features they threw into Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, without having to shell out the cash for a full game. The new DLC for the game is now available for download on the XBox 360 and PS3. The DLC includes all the build up to what happened to Jill in the cut scenes, and about an extra hour's worth of gameplay. Not to mention all the additional costumes and characters in the mutiplayer mode. To commemorate this day of the new release, Capcom has given us a video rendition of the old trailer for the game. Skepticism reigned as I sat down to play Monster Hunter Tri, but it began to dispel as I took the new Wii Classic Controller Pro in my hands and looked across the table at Binh, who was joining me for some co-operative hunting on another Wii. Capcom is breaking ground bringing the immensely popular Monster Hunter series to the Nintendo Wii along with this brand new controller. Though the franchise is huge in Japan, but not nearly as well known here in Europe and North America, Capcom looks to indoctrinate a new audience. A Dead Rising Movie... For Real?

Thankfully, it is not being done by Uwe Bole. Un-thankfully, it looks like it will be just a bad Japanese subtitled flick that will have people like me hating subtitles even more. Too much reading when there is so much action going on behind those bogging words. But in any instance, it looks like it is still a go. Here is the trailer for the film, and it looks nothing like I remember from the game at all. I bet you are getting tired of all of the these trailers by now. No? Good, because here is yet another one to keep up with Mass Effect 2, BioShock 2, and Heavy Rain. This time it is from Lost Planet 2 and it is in more of an episode style that Capcom has been pumping out for the game. Kind of like a small mini-series for Lost Planet than just a trailer. XBox 360 Gets Monster Hunter In Japan

Capcom is pushing hard for the whole Monster Hunter franchise to take off, so what do they do, turn it into a console MMO. Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Frontier Online for the XBox 360 in Japan. A first for the Monster Hunter Franchise, which has never been on the XBox platform before. $15 a month to play a game online you don't even play by yourself? An online beta will start sometime in May, and according to the website it will have a release date of summer 2010. If your wondering if there is a western release date, there is none at this time. Resident Evil 5 Gone Gold Again

Here we go again... again. This is where the year of "Capcom forgetting how to count again" starts. At least this time when it starts it has a nice new video showcasing some of the stuff that will make us shell out more cash for games we already own. Like say, Sheva in a little red ridding hood costume and Chris looking like something from a Mad Max film. Not to mention all the extra story that justifies RE5 going into another gold phase only a year after the first version came out. From this video, I can actually see the worth in getting the DLC when it becomes available, but not a full new version of the disc. Read More...

Aggrocast Episode Fifty Six: CES Wrap-Up

In an odd turn of events they start with Day 4 and what Binh caught as the show closed (Wii sniper rifle); then they moved onto Day 2 including a recreation of events that you would normally see here, a visit with Capcom and a "celebrity" sighting.
