E3 Hands On — Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider While at E3, I was able to see Shadow Of The Tomb Raider in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. With Shadow Of The Tomb Raider not that far off from release, September 14th as a reminder, it was expected to see the game have a huge showing out at E3 this year and Square Enix did not let us down. There was a great showing during their huge press event the day before E3 kicked off, but also had a nice long demo for fans to play that Eidos-Montréal had put together just for the show. It was a nice subsection of the core game and let the world see what was coming to Shadow Of The Tomb Raider as well as show how the gameplay has shifted a bit. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Holly Hells, it has been a huge week in video games as E3 has now come and gone. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Is Back With More Gameplay From E3 2018
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider The first gameplay for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here now and we get to see how the franchise has evolved from the last Tomb Raider title We have been good and waited until this year's E3 to finally see Shadow Of The Tomb Raider in motion. At least in terms of gameplay. Since it has been known that Eidos-Montréal will have the game ready for us on September 14th, it was a given that we would get to see it during Square Enix's media event this year and then again on the show floor. They could have kept all of that under wraps until the release date, but that is just not how all of this marketing thing goes to make sure we are pre-ordering and ready for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. I guess that is good for all of us who have been dying to see just what is in store for us with the game. Read More...

The First Bit Of Gameplay For Overkill’s The Walking Dead Is Out There
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead We finally have our first bit of gameplay for Overkill’s The Walking Dead and it looks like it is a new way to experience The Walking Dead The wait is over and we finally have some gameplay for Overkill’s The Walking Dead to look at instead of all of the amazing little teases and pre-rendered segments we have been given so far. Not that I have not enjoyed what Starbreeze has put together for those little bits, but I know I just want to see what I will be playing for Overkill here and not just the fancy stuff we will not be playing. All without having to wait until November 6th to get to actually see and play this version of The Walking Dead on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/4/18 — 6/8/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of June 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This has totally been a week of video games to lead up to this year's E3. It could have been something that could have been extremely slow, but it looks like everyone out there was down to give us all a whole lot before the show. We had a nice release date for Days Gone dropped on us, a whole lot for two video games in The Walking Dead franchise, and a new Hitman title on the way. Most of which coming before the end of the year and having a lot of things to show off on the floor out there at E3. Read More...

Guns At The Ready For A Co-Op Paranormal Punch With The Strange Brigade
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Strange Brigade See the co-op gameplay in action for Strange Brigade as well as some of the paranormal powers you will be able to wield in Strange Brigade If you wanted to see more co-op gameplay for Strange Brigade, then you are in luck as that is exactly what we have for you here today. Rebellion could have gone with just another tease before E3 for the game and thus left a lot of gamers wanting to know more. They did not and we are all the better for it and can get further hyped up for Strange Brigade to hit us all on August 28th for our PS4, Xbox One, and PC. That and now we can get our three other friends ready for it all so we can all join in and do what we need to do for fun and profit. Read More...

Heather Is Here To Round Out The Characters For Overkill’s The Walking Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The fourth and final character for Overkill’s The Walking Dead is now here and we can start to see just how this version of The Walking Dead is shaping up Today marks the day that all of the characters for Overkill’s The Walking Dead have been revealed and now we will hopefully be seeing some actual gameplay or other elements for the game moving forward. Not that I do not enjoy the CGI videos that Overkill has for each of them, but I think it is high time for a look at what we should actually be getting in Fall of 2018. Maybe it is just me? The Walking Dead: The Final Season Gets Really Dark With A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The release date for The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been set and we will see how Clementine's story will wrap in The Walking Dead universe Get those tears ready as The Walking Dead: The Final Season has a release date set for the first episode now and now we can see how it will all end on August 14th. At least see how Clementine's story will end in the franchise, so that could mean that Telltale Games could technically keep the IP going but I have a feeling that this will be the end of it all. This, of course, does not sound like things will go to well for the character as this is The Walking Dead and stories almost always come to a close with the character's horrible death. Read More...

Review — The Council: Hide And Seek
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Council We sit down and review The Council: Hide And Seek. This is the second episode of Big Bad Wolf’s interesting take on history & the occult. Here’s our review of The Council: Hide And Seek After a good chunk of time, it looks like the second episode, The Council: Hide And Seek, is finally here for this episodic game. The first episode showed us all how the episodic story game could be changed and Big Bad Wolf did a lot in the way of advancement for this form of game. It set the bar pretty high and now it is time to see how the next episode for The Council fares in all of the mix up. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Street Fighter V The gameplay reveal for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s next character is here and we can expect to see Cody join Street Fighter V soon Get ready to add another character to the list of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition characters on June 26th as Cody Travers is coming back for some more violent fun. Not that we have not been having all of that fun already or in the past when Capcom brought him into the fighting rings, but it is a way to bring him back as part of the character DLC here. At least if you are still down to play Street Fighter V and looking to expand the roster by one or the whole season of character DLC we have for the PS4 and PC. Read More...

Agony Is Here & Sadly Part Are Still Being Barred By Censorship
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Agony The release of Agony is here and with it comes a new trailer and a statement on the ongoing censorship issues for Agony The day is finally here and Agony has hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All of us fans out there can finally take a few steps into the Hellscape that Madmind Studios has for us here for the game and see just how Hellish it could be at the end of the day. I have held on to all of those horrible lines for too long and needed to get them out there. Now that Agony has released, I feel it is high time to do so and also high time to have a little bit of a look at more gameplay to help others figure out if they are going to give the game a go here. Once Again, We Are In An Endless Agony With A New Music Video
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Agony Another music video for Agony has been released to show off another song about the game as well as some new gameplay and imagery we will have in Agony Get ready for more music for Agony here as that is the latest update we have to come for the game here. Just like the last one, we have a nice new music video for it and with it comes a lot of new footage for the game as well. That is the part that I am sure a lot of you are going to be more interested in, but it is all presented in this way and it feels about right for what Madmind Studios has put together here. Not to mention that it is a nice way to remind us all that Agony is still hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 29th here and it should haunt our dreams just as the video show. Read More...

Experience The Endless Torment Of A Procedurally Generated Hell In Agony
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Agony A new gameplay mode for Agony is coming with the game and players will be able to compete against each other in this new Agony Mode It looks like there will be more to Agony than we thought when it launches on May 29th here. At least if you can make it through all of the horror and disturbing imagery that Madmind Studios has put together for their version of Hell. If you can, then you will be glad to hear that there will be what is being called Agony Mode for the game and it will be the "multiplayer" aspect of the game. Multiplayer in the terms of being able to rank up against other players out there who are interested in playing the game and then this new mode. Read More...

Lara Is Ever Evolving To The Point In Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider A new developer interview for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here and it takes us through the evolution of Lara from the reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise to now I know we are all waiting for another big update for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider as all we have had since its first leak has been a nice looking CG trailer for the game. It showed us what Eidos-Montréal was aiming for, sure, but it did not give us any actual gameplay or too many details for the game. I have a feeling this was to hold off until Square Enix's big E3 showing that is planned but to give us all a taste. Read More...
