As I correctly speculated in my last Beatles: Rock Band article, there was yet another teaser for the fans as today MTV Games and Harmonix announced 19 of the 20 songs yet be revealed. With only one song remaining to be divulged, it looks as if it will be either a widely popular tune or a special "not-previously-released" track that's been hidden in the vaults and purposely kept from public view so that it can be released live with the remastered recordings set to release on the same day as the game. Considering the track list so far, there are some big Beatles songs on there indicating they are not afraid to show their hand, so the latter does seem more likely. Additional PS3 Greatest Hits Titles Available Now Just like in music, when something has been around for a while and you want to remind fans of the awesomeness of the old stuff, you hit it up with a greatest hits treatment. Render Of Hades By the Gods, the more that is pumped out in the God of War fankits, the more and more excited and giddy I get. First it was Kratos and Zeus and a slew of screen shots and background shots for the game. This was all before the good hands on the public got a Comic Con in San Diego. I guess when you’re a hot shot like Johnny Storm, pyrokinesis seems a little on the nose. But when you’re dealing with cosmic radiation, sometimes you just have to play with the cards you’re dealt with. Today is the 20th Anniversary of the launch of the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) here in North America. I’m sure you’ve seen plenty of articles on the birth and rise of the Genesis, its bitter fight against Nintendo and the eventual downfall with the addition of the Sega CD and the 32X. With World of Warcraft's 5 year anniversary coming up, Blizzard is releasing another content patch, numbered 3.2.2. What is the big change? Nothing major but to bring back the biggest bitch of the game, Onyxia. Why Onyxia you may ask? Well she was the most iconic beast in the game when the game was still fresh and new. One of the hardest Raid boss to take down, even when a group of 40 players would have a tough time taking her down. Multiplayer: The Book Burning Generation The other night I was driving home at 1 am with the God of War soundtrack playing in the car. As the game music, with mixed in audio clips from the game, was playing through my car speakers, I began to think on how truly epic the story of this game was. Not epic as in awesome, even though it is, but more in lines of how it actually fell in line with the Epic writings of the Greeks. Think the Odyssey and Iliad for what I mean. The film was directed by Juan Carlos Pineiro Escoriaza and produced by Victor Pineiro Escoriaza and Peter Brauer. From the articles I have written or hearing me on the Aggrocast, you probably know I'm excited for a little title called Darkest of Days. Well today independent game developer, 8monkey Labs, and Phantom EFX, a leading developer and publisher of entertainment software, has announced today that on August 11th 2009 a demo of Darkest of Days will be available on the PC. World of Warcraft: Oh how you can send a community into a frenzy just by leaking a tiny bit of information. WoW.com is reporting that, through multiple sources, they have discovered the name of the new World of Warcraft expansion as well as the new races that will be populating Azeroth. This new data leak comes two weeks before Blizzcon. Where I am sure they were going to announce something along these lines. The new expansion name will be called World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and the two new races will be Worgen for Alliance and Goblins for Horde. Read More...

Every Monday I look forward to Nintendo's release of WiiWare, Virtual Console and DSiWare titles. I might be the only one now. In the recent weeks, the pickings have been mighty slim. So slim in fact, I feel sorry for people who purchased a DSi in hopes of purchasing and downloading quality software over the DSiWare Channel. I had thought to make a weekly column based on the Big N's DLC, but when a decent release only occurs once a month, there isn't much to report. Alas, for all those Dragon Age fans out there, we have a bit of bad news. Bioware and EA have announced that Dragon Age: Origins is being delayed. It's not so bad just a matter of days. It will be delayed from October 20th to November 3rd. A little bit of an oddity is that the PC and Xbox 360 versions have been pushed back but they have not released a date for the PS3 version. There has been no real reason for the date change or what is happening with the PS3 version. All we know is that the PS3 version will be out "later in November". Read More...

Rock Band: Country Pack Rock Band is well known for the DLC updates they do every week. Very well known, for it. But one thing that the franchise is not well known for is having a good selection of music that falls in line with the controls and set up. In this case I am talking Country. A genre that isn't normally popular amongst the more hardcore gamers and fans of rhythm games. Well that was up until just recently with the expansion to Rock Band with the Country Pack.
