Story Time For Dishonored!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of October 2012 - 10:58 PM ]
Maybe you've been paying attention to Dishonored this and maybe you haven't been. Either way I am here to bring you a couple of new videos for the game that showcase a little of what could be seen as the back story for the game. From what it looks like it could all be related to how Corvo gets all his bad ass powers and the mask. Not to mention what kind of led to the world being in the state that it is in. They look to be more or less fun videos to give a bit of the background than actual details, so don't expect them to be spoilerific at all. Read More...

What I'd Like In Borderlands 3
by Matt Waitt [ Thursday, 27th of September 2012 - 09:36 PM ]
Well, after beating the campaign for the first time and having my jaw drop to the floor in shock, I think it's time we start discussing what could be improved for the third installment of Borderlands. I won't be spoiling anything for you guys so you guys can take the mouse off the "X" button now. First off, I would have to say "Keep this story going." It's a great story so far and a lot of good can and will come from this. The story in Borderlands 2 is more narrative and interactive than the first one. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of September 2012 - 07:07 PM ]
So last week we were teased with a world premiere for the Zombies mode for Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. Teased and left waiting. Well the wait is now over. Below we have the "World Premiere" of Zombies mode for Black Ops II and, well, we are still left wondering what is going on with it. The two minute video below shows off some fun game play and cinematics for the mode, but now real details though. Outside of what looks like a campaign style progression map leading to new maps to kill the undead. If you want to call it that. Read More...

Review: Borderlands 2
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 27th of September 2012 - 05:06 PM ]
I first experienced Borderlands 2 at PAX East, where I got to play the demo and see some of the new features it had to offer. Five months later, I am running through the game with the excitement of a little boy picking out his presents at a toy store. Borderlands 2 takes players into (or back into) Pandora to take on a new evil, who in turn is trying to resurrect an old evil. The journey will require skill, determination, allies, and guns. Lots of guns. Read More...

Review: Drinking Quest
by Fred Buell [ Friday, 21st of September 2012 - 11:46 PM ]
Drinking Quest is a game type that is not typically reviewed here, but it's one that definitely fits our gamer requirement and I think it's time we bring in the table-top gamers and video gamers into one niche. With that out of the way, Drinking Quest is a game that seamlessly blends your traditional table-top RPG and drinking games inside of a card game with various subtle references to pop culture from over the years. You can choose one of four characters each with various stats, weapon proficiencies, and a special ability card. There are four "quests" to a game and the hero with the most XP wins the game. So details about the story of Injustice have been sparse and they still are. Even the full character roster has still not fully been disclosed. But there has been a lot of fun game play since the announcement and first public showing. Now that TGS is in full swing, it would make sense that there is a new trailer for the game. So you shall see that and a few new screen shots below. But before you dig in there is something I want to bring attention to. Read More...

A few days ago Double Dragon: Neon came out causing 8- and 16-bit fan boys and nostalgia addicts alike cream their pants in joy. However a day before that happened, Majesco Entertainment unleashed this 80s beat'em up fest's soundtrack to the masses. This is every one of the 45 tracks from the game. Ranging from midi masterpieces to 80s inspired new wave and even into old skool hip-hop. The soundtrack can be picked up from the Official Double Dragon: Neon website for the low cost of FREE. God of War: Ascension Gets Furious… I Mean Furies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of September 2012 - 10:19 PM ]
So we've seen some of the basic enemies. We've seen the Elephantor. How about some enemies that are part of the ancient cultures that God Of War: Ascension is borrowing from. In this case the Furies or Erinyes depending which you go by. In this case though it looks like Santa Monica Studios is going with the three named Furies for Kratos to rip apart. As will be seen below the first to be shown is Megaera, the jealous one. I'm still trying to understand the spider-like look that has been given to her, especially when it would be easier to just include Arachne and call it a day. Read More...

How To Become The Ideal Assassin In Dishonored
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of September 2012 - 04:27 PM ]
Dishonored is a game all about a supernatural assassin. So it would make sense that there is a whole slew of ways to go through the game all sneaky. Wouldn't you know it, Arkane Studios and Bethesda have given us a look at a few of the ways to do all that. At least I am hoping that this is only a few in comparison to all the other options. Just as would be assumed sight and sound will be key factors in moving about for the quiet kill. So no real big news there. Read More...

Review: The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim - Hearthfire
by Irene Collazo [ Monday, 10th of September 2012 - 10:00 PM ]
I gave Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC approximately 25 hours of my life this past weekend. Considering all of the not-so-sure attitudes towards it, I gave it a try. Once I started my game I did a bit of running around Skyrim. Finally, an 80% naked courier approached me to propose a message from the Jarl of Farkreath stating that I could buy land in that area. There are a total of three plots of land you can purchase from Farkreath, Dawnstar, or Morthal. You can get all three if you would like. Read More...

With Comikaze Expo coming up here soon we can expect more about Deadpool to be coming to the public. So before that, let's go over a bit that has been released so far as well as a few more screens showing what Deadpool does best. Bring on the guns. Bring on the katanas. Bring on the best super power ever, Common Sense. So as is to be expected, the combat will blend a mix of sword and gun play. Just as the trailers and screens have implied, expect a spinning whirlwind of death and (bang) explosions. Read More...

Ubisoft has released a new trailer in their game play series for Far Cry 3. Part 2 of the survival guide sheds even more light on the games’ characters and story. Vass, which was mentioned in the first trailer, is revealed to be a drug addict and the leader of a group of black market pirates. Vaas also grows drugs and kidnaps hostages. It seems that Vaas is the person who may be holding Jason Brody’s friends. Other interesting features revealed in the trailer include making your own medicine out of wide array of ingredients found around the island, crafting and hunting to make money to buy new weapons and upgrades and gambling if earning money is not your thing.
