Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Daredevil)
by Jesse [ Wednesday, 1st of July 2009 - 07:11 AM ]
Matt Murdock was born the son of former Heavyweight boxer “Battling Jack” Murdock. Growing up in Hell’s Kitchen, New York, Matt learned from his father the importance of education. His father wanted nothing more than for his son to get ahead in life using his brain rather than his fists. Matt’s nobility was no more evident than on the fateful day where he saved a blind man from being run over by a truck carrying radioactive material. The waste managed to fall from the truck, partly splashing into Matt’s eyes. Though it blinded him, Matt’s other senses were heightened to superhuman levels. Read More...

Mass Effect: Galaxies Review
by Kevin [ Friday, 26th of June 2009 - 02:03 AM ]
Mass Effect Galaxies, formerly Mass Effect: Jacob's Story, is an iPhone game developed by Bioware to offer fans of the franchise a little more in the way of mythology and action. It's a top down shooter with a great deal of personality for such a tiny title. It is not required to enjoy the series, but playing the game does give you insight into more of what is going on with characters you will encounter in the highly anticipated sequel, Mass Effect 2, Jacob and Miranda. Many of the same options in the 'higher end titles' appear here, including biotic powers and branching conversation trees. Unfortunetly, using the branching conversation mechanic here does not seem to have as much weight as it does in the aformentioned big brother to this game. Read More...

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Wolverine)
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 23rd of June 2009 - 09:43 PM ]
Born more than a century ago in Canada, James Howlett has overcome numerous ordeals in the path to becoming Wolverine. In his time James, more commonly known as Logan, has taken part in many conflicts including World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War. He learned much as a soldier and even more when he became a spy for the CIA some years later. Besides his time spent as a soldier and a spy, Logan has spent an extensive amount of timing training in various martial arts. He became a master of many forms of armed and unarmed combat, but above all it was his training as a samurai that helped keep his feral nature in check and define his own personal code of honor. It is beginning to look a lot like XMAS
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Friday, 19th of June 2009 - 08:50 PM ]
It's no secret that Blizzard has been playing around and changing dates for the epic release of Star Craft II. Well great news for fans. In a recent interview with the Swedish Press2Play.TV, Star Craft II looks to be having a Holiday release at the end of this year if things are "ready". "We don't like to ship our games unless they're ready, but we're trying our best to get it out before the end of the year" Blizzard admits. "But it's inevitably up to the fans to tell us when it's ready." When asked about the Beta, Blizzard didn't give a direct response but they did say "We're not years away... Read More...

Get Assassinated In A Hospital
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of June 2009 - 05:05 PM ]
Two New Wolfenstein Trailers Hospitals for some are just creepy places to be. People laying in "death beds," sharp medical instruments everywhere, creepy doctors or patients wandering about, and the ever draining of ones life force, money. So it makes sense that when you want to place a creepy scene or level in a game, you would choose an environment like this to give that real creep factor to the players. Raven Software, not wanting to skip on this for Wolfenstein, have placed another version of the Hospital level in a game. This time with Nazis and demonic powered soldiers. Read More...

A Perfect Infected Evolution Imagine awaking in a morgue as your chest is about to be cut open, Heroes style, to then be chased by doctors and military for unknown reasons. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Mr. Fantastic)
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 16th of June 2009 - 03:19 PM ]
Being a genius is one thing, being a comic book genius is a whole different ball game. Think of it as having the combined intelligence of Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Edison and Stephen Hawking…times 10. So to say that Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic is not just a comic book genius, but the smartest human being in the Marvel Universe should give you some understanding of just what the man is capable of. Reed was a child prodigy to say the least. His father Nathaniel Richards was a scientific genius who passed on his aptitude in various fields to Reed. Read More...

BackBreaker
by Kevin [ Monday, 15th of June 2009 - 03:42 AM ]
There are the Madden purists out there, there always will be. I cannot consider myself one of them because for all of the "innovations" EA throw into the Madden games - it will always be the same experience for me. Since EA secured the NFL license, there's been false start after false start for competitors to the gridiron throne. I give all the credit in the world to Blitz: The League and the 2k series for creating some compelling gameplay, but because of either: dated gameplay and graphics, or leaning too much on novelty gameplay, they were never able to achieve the same numbers of units sold. Here's hoping BackBreaker becomes a serious contender. Read More...

Jack Tretton = Pissed. Alternate Title, the PS3 Slim is real, now what
by Ben Brody [ Saturday, 13th of June 2009 - 04:40 PM ]
Sure, Jack Tretton was all fun and games (pun totally intended) at this year's SCEA E3 Press Conference, but being pissed in front of several hundred journalists wouldn't serve any good purpose. In a recent interview with CNBC, Tretton, the CEO and president of SCEA, expressed major disappointment in the fact that many of Sony's big E3 announcements got leaked beforehand. The PSP Go!, the PS3 Motion Controller, Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker (the newest MGS for the PSP) and Gran Turismo (also for the PSP, and it should be noted that it had already been announced at the 2004 E3) were all leaked before the conference.
