Ratchet and Clank Return to PS3
by Jesse [ Thursday, 26th of March 2009 - 10:58 PM ]
“The Quest Continues in Fall 2009…” This was the phrase that teased a coming sequel following the end of Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty. Today we know exactly what those words mean. Okay so maybe we don’t know exactly, but at least there’s a title. Insomniac Games unveiled the logo for their upcoming R&C title Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Though there aren’t any details at this time, I’d say it’s safe to assume we’ll see A Crack in Time tie in with the previous two R&C games. One interesting point though is that the title logo looks to be cut from a larger image. Read More...

Go Utah??
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 26th of March 2009 - 11:34 AM ]
Well it seems Utah is not as conservative after all. Utah Governor Jon Huntsman (r) has vetoes video games and movie retail restriction bill. To those who don’t know about it, it’s the bill (that was originally written by Jack Thompson and legislator Mike Morle) that would enforce strict penalties on retailers who sells M-Rated games and Rated R movies to “buyers subject to an age restriction or recommendation.”   Utah Governor Jon Huntsman (r) wrote a letter to House Speaker David Clark and Utah Senate President Michael Waddoups about why he vetoed the video game bill: (from Sainless: http://saintless.com/2009/03/25/gov-vetoed-hb-353/)“Dear Speaker Clark and President Waddoups: After careful consideration and study, I have decided to veto HB 353, TRUTH IN ADVERTISING ACT AMENDMENTS, and have transmitted it to the Lieutenant Governor for filing. Review of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures Episode I: The Fright of the Bumblebees
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 24th of March 2009 - 10:47 PM ]
Telltale Games has a formula for success and this time they have added a British compound to their already stellar lineup of point-and-click, episodic games (Sam&Max, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People).  Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Adventures begins its four episode run today with “Fright of the Bumblebees.”  Wallace and Gromit are the main characters of a British animated series developed by Nick Price of Aardman Animations.  Using stop-motion clay animation, the series depicts Wallace, an absent-minded inventor, and his silent, faithful companion Gromit. OutRun Online
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 18th of March 2009 - 01:04 AM ]
For American Xbox 360 owners, and European PS3 owners, June 30th is going to bring a gem to the arcade scene of Live and PSN. It's OutRun Online, an online speed-fest based on OutRun 2006, with 15 courses, and support of online head-to-head play for six players. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ou1fJ6CoRcIOutRun has long since been a favorite of mine and I would say it, arguably, influenced many other games in the genre with its approach to racing. If you aren't familiar with the series, it will be a great time to get aquainted. It's looking pretty good for an arcade title. Read More...

Titans Join the Tournament
by Jesse [ Friday, 6th of March 2009 - 10:13 PM ]
A little over a year ago, Midway and Epic Games released the highly anticipated Unreal Tournament III. The game, which was awesome to begin with, was made even better by the release of a free map pack. Now, even with the financial problems Midway is suffering from, another free downloadable pack is coming to the PC and PS3 versions of the game. The really exciting thing is just in the huge amount of content that’s available. Firstly there are 11 new maps spread out across Warfare, Deathmatch, CTF (Capture the Flag), and Vehicle CTF to compete on. Read More...

More Game Footage Showing Of Characters In Guitar Hero: Metallica So as it is no big surprise that this game is rolling out here in the U.S. at the end of the year, it should also be no big surprise that the marketing campaign will be starting soon, if not already, to start weaseling you out of your hard earned cash for this game. Damn that was long winded there. But in any instance. Read More...

Just released are some screen shots and a new trailer for the game. Of curse they are below for you to ogle and make feel dirty like your next door neighbor who just happened to walk by their window naked and caught you staring with a telescope. What does look interesting though is the new engine that they use for the game. Some might not think that it is, but look at it. Read More...

A Game You May Have Missed: Noby Noby Boy
by Kevin [ Monday, 2nd of March 2009 - 03:33 PM ]
Every now and again, I'll look for a title that may have fallen through the cracks or that I know is new to some and familiar to others. More often than not it'll be a title that either caused my head to implode or really seemed to fall below the radar.Noby Noby Boy is a little title for the PS3 by Keita Takahashi, the creator of the Katamari Damacy series. I picked up solely on that premise alone - becuase of the inventiveness of the original and the expectation of something just as entertaining. That being said, I'm not sure what this game is. Posse Up!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of February 2009 - 09:16 PM ]
Spore Galactic Adventures Now that we have all had a chance to play Spore and get our little single-celled organisms up to the point where they can leave their home planet and fly around the universe, what is next to do? I mean you could go through it all again making yet another set of creatures that look very phallic in nature. You could go through all that hassle, but wouldn't you rather take you creatures and do something with them? You know you want to. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of February 2009 - 04:35 PM ]
EA Announces Dead Space Extraction Exclusive for the Wii Not to long ago it was brought up that there was going to be a Wii port of Dead Space. Well this was only partial true and based off of reports from an interview. But today came the full on announcement about the Wii version of the game, or should I say the Wii prequel to the game. Yes, it'll be kind of like Resident Evil 0 on the GameCube for the game that came on so strong for the PS3, XBox, and PC. Dead Space: Extraction will be the story leading up to the opening of Dead Space. Read More...

by Sam [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2009 - 03:18 AM ]
Remember a couple years back when they first announced the Black Mesa Mod and showed off all those beautiful screen shots but never really gave a release day? Well now we have one...sort of. In an Interview with Screen Plays project leader James "DexX" Dominguez, James says:I won't say anything more specific than "Late 2009". Like any developer, we want to squeeze as much awesome in as possible before we ship, but we won't withhold it any longer than absolutely necessary once it's done. Read More...
