Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with the week ending on a high note for all of our video games out there. Metro The world of Metro is finally on its way back, with the first reveal and look at the upcoming Metro 2039 True to the word, we have the full reveal and first looks at Metro 2039 after that nice little tease 4A Games gave us at the beginning of the week. Not only all of that, but we have some gameplay and a solid feel for where the title is going. It looks as if Metro 2039 is going to head back into the darkness we all knew from the start, but in a way that is more a reflection of the real-world issues going on and how choices in life can lead to these dark places. That is more of the meta side of things, but I am guessing that Deep Silver will also want you to see just where the game is going to go when it launches this Winter on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Metro The world of Metro is carrying on forward, with the announcement we have for Metro 2039 that is on the way It looks as if we are headed back into the tunnels again, with the announcement that Metro 2039 is on the way. Just that announcement and not much else, as 4A Games and Deep Silver are planning a larger announcement further into this week, but we have a nice little tease to let us know that Metro 2039 is going to be a thing. A nice bit of news after all of the other games that we have had, and the trip into the VR space that we were able to see not too long ago. The 9th Charnel The launch for The 9th Charnel is finally here, and we get to see just what terrors The 9th Charnel will offer the world So many titles are launching today and this month, so it is time to add The 9th Charnel to the list that we will have out there on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Apartment No 129 The release date for Apartment No 129 on the consoles is set, so more gamers can head into Apartment No 129 It seems like the PC gamers will not be the only ones who can explore Apartment No 129, as the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will have the chance to do the same. By that, we are talking that Axyos Games is gearing up for a console release and has now given us a release date for the platforms. Those looking to have a dark horror experience early into 2026 can now look to Apartment No 129 to bring that on January 16th. The 9th Charnel The release date for The 9th Charnel is now set, with The 9th Charnel dropping on all of the platforms early in 2026 I hope you are looking to start the new year off with some frights, as The 9th Charnel has been given a release date to do just that. This is that survival horror title that we have seen pop up from Saikat Deb Creations and SOEDESCO over the past few months, with so many nightmares roaming about to end us all. Horrors that we will get to sample on January 30th, 2026, when the game fully launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Damned One last playtest for Damned 2 is on the way and ready to give us a taste of what Damned 2 will hold before it launches It has been a longtime coming, and now we see some light at the end of the tunnel for Damned 2. After seeing many other asymmetric horror games come and go, it is finally time for 9heads Games Studios to see if it is going to hold up. At least, on August 7th when the full game hits the PC and then down the line when it opens up to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Damned A sequel to Damned is on the way with Damned 2 offering up a bit more gameplay out of the gamescom latam event Another asymmetrical multiplayer title is on the way with Damned 2 getting a new showcasing during the gamescom latam event going down. A new way for us to experience some horror in the world on the PC from 9heads Games Studios, so hopefully you have not been burnt out on that genre as of yet. If you have, maybe Damned 2 will offer up something new for you as it is not based on any specific IP and could be able to branch out further than the others. 1943 The story of Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra is out there so we have more than just a title card for Marvel 1943 to speculate over Here we go with the Black Panther and Captain America video game getting a big update for us all to experience as Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra was shown off at GDC 2024. More than we have a bigger story and get to see just how Skydance is bringing this title to light and how Marvel Games will further expand their roster with, hopefully, a great story. Daymare The Xbox release for Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is now set so more gamers can experience what Daymare has to offer the world out there The time is about to come when more of the gaming community can enjoy Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle out there with the physical release of the game on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The title that Invader Studios gave us all last year will now be coming to the platform on April 9th if you needed to have the physical version of it all or could not play the game on the PS4, PS5, or PC.
