More Teasing From BioWare On Suspected Shadow Realms IP
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new teaser for the suspected Shadow Realms IP from BioWare has been released and it is looking like it could be very interesting Last week we covered a newly teased IP from BioWare that most have been calling Shadow Realms. That's not official but it makes sense given all of the build up to the first teaser video for whatever BioWare and EA are putting together. Speaking of, the point here is that we have the latest teaser for the supposed Shadow Realms. Obviously we will carry on with the speculation fun for Shadow Realms but I think you should have a look at the latest teaser trailer that has been released. Read More...

More rumors are flying around that Fallout 4 has been confirmed and we await an official announcement Here we go with yet another Fallout 4 rumor but this one claims to be legit. Just like all of the other rumors out there for Fallout 4 and Half Life 3. None the less the people over at KDrama Stars claim to have word from one of the horse's mouths over at Bethesda. Well more from someone who claims to know someone on the PR team at Bethesda at least. That someone of course being an anonymous internet user… So what has been claimed now for Fallout 4? Rob Zombie's French Revolution Is The Best Telling Of Assassin's Creed Unity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Here is Rob Zombie's French Revolution based on the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity from Ubisoft Just before SDCC we caught wind that Rob Zombie was going to do an animated film based on Assassin's Creed Unity and the French Revolution that take place in the game. I was a bit ecstatic but also a bit concerned given the fact that a lot of what I love about Rob Zombie's work in the past is something that I would think Ubisoft would be a bit hesitant to embrace. Especially when he gets teamed up with The Walking Dead's co-creator (Tony Moore) to illustrate what he does best; horrid gore and blood. Sounds like an amazing team up to me but like I said I was worried they would get hamstringed. Read More...

SDCC 2014 Hands On: LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
While At SDCC I Got To See LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It It was Comic Con and what kind of convention would it be if we didn't cover LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham or something comic book related in gaming? Am I right? Well in a few months time we are getting the release of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham on damn near every platform under the sun so I stood up and gave the game a whirl on the show floor. All just before the huge announcements that now surround the game and make it just that much cooler. Here's what I thought when I finally got my hands on LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Read More...

Did We Just Get A Kano Slip For Mortal Kombat X?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A few new images for Mortal Kombat X have cropped up online and it looks like Kano is up next for reveal The internet can't keep anything sacred and fun for reveal and the latest Mortal Kombat X outing speaks directly to that. It looks like a few screen grabs from a German magazine have found their way from the editing room to the internet and it pretty much confirms Kano as a returning fighter to Mortal Kombat X. It sure looks like Kano and the brief description in the bottom corner looks to be all about his "Wrestling-Kano" fighting style. Unless this is an elaborate fake just in the build up to Gamescom. Looks Like We May Be Getting A Dead Island Movie
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Near the end of last week Deep Silver and Occupant Entertainment announced that a Dead Island film adaptation is in the works Time to hear the resounding cheers and jeers for the announcement of a Dead Island film. Yes, it looks like we may be getting a film adaptation of Deep Silver's largest zombie themed game. The first Dead Island has sold over 8 million copies of the game to date so it seems like it would be a perfect time to rake in more dough on the franchise. Zombies are still all the rage so it makes sense. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 7/28/14 — 8/1/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming You would think that in the wake of SDCC we would be occupied with more on the gaming recaps than we would the fresh news coming out afterwards. That was not the case in this week and as usual we did our best to bring you everything we could in the world of gaming so you can have an unbiased perspective on things. Ok, well as unbiased as anyone truly can be who doesn't get paid by companies to talk up and excite the internet just to spark the burning in your wallets. None the less though we were also able to recap some of the great gaming experiences from last week here for you. Read More...

SDCC Experience: Assassin's Creed Experience
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 09:01 PM ]
I was able to unleash my inner assassin during Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC 2014 We spoke about the Assassin's Creed Experience a few times before it was unleashed at SDCC last week. This would be the huge parkour course that they set up outside of Comic Con to allow fans of the franchise to see if they could handle the same stuff that Arno may need to do in Assassin's Creed Unity. It was gimmicky but it was also a blast to be able to run through. This isn't the first time that Ubisoft has brought something Assassin's Creed themed to Comic Con but it definitely was the most interactive. Read More...

SDCC 2014 Hands On: Metro 2033 Redux
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At SDCC I Got To See Metro 2033 Redux In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It I know that Metro 2033 Redux has been debuted at many other events since its first announcement. San Diego Comic Con has been my first time to have a chance to actually play the new HD version of Metro 2033. Before this I had only experienced the world of Metro via videos online, second hand conversations, or watching others play the game. For what it was it looked nice but nothing I would personally write home about. Read More...

BioWare Is Teasing A New IP. Shadow Realms Could Be The Name
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Two new live action trailers from BioWare have popped up online and signs point to a new IP called Shadow Realms Over the last few weeks it looks like BioWare has been teasing a new IP and if all clues are correct it could be titles Shadow Realms. It makes sense as EA recently filed for a trademark for Shadow Realms back in March and the thumbnail for the first video is straight up titled ShadowRealms_Teaser_video.jpg. It seems to be one of the least guarded secrets based on all of that doesn't it? Read More...

by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 31st of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We wondered what it would be like to enter into the Borderlands and Nerdist gave us that chance with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Las Tag at SDCC San Diego Comic Con was not only filled with gaming/geek news this year but it was also filled with loads of amazing experiences to promote and excite fans all around. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was not going to be left out of this as the event out there in San Diego was the perfect place to show off how awesome the game can be. Even more so when 2K Games teams up with the Nerdist crew to bring us all a way to play a live Borderlands game via laser tag and some amazing set pieces that looked like they were lifted from the game. SDCC Experience: The Walking Dead Escape
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape was back at SDCC giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like For the third year running (pun intended) I was able to experience The Walking Dead Escape at SDCC. I broke down what it was all about before but I'll give the quick version just in case you are lazy. In a nut shell it is a real world survival horror event that tests if you could escape from one end of a location, Petco Park in this case, to the other without being swarmed by the undead horde. The Walking Dead Escape of course using portions of the AMC show, comic books, and video games to theme everything. Read More...

See The Guardians Of The Galaxy In Action With Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
New gameplay footage for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes has been released showing off the Guardians Of The Galaxy play set The Guardians Of The Galaxy are nothing completely new in terms of announcement for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes as half the team was shown during the initial announcement of the game and the rest talked about at E3. What better place to show off the gameplay for the Guardians Of The Galaxy play set though than at SDCC right? It also seems to fit the time frame given the film's imminent release and the sequel already announced. Read More...
