Being Chicken In Metal Gear Solid V Can Be A Bonus In Disguise
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 10:01 PM ]
Over the Christmas holiday it was announced that there will be a chicken hat addition to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to make the game easier for those having trouble If you are a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid and looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V then you were probably one of those people who sat around with Hideo Kojima on Christmas day while he opened presents, talked films, and then trolled everyone looking for a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. To be fair, you all should have been having a good time with your families instead of watching someone who's culture doesn't celebrate the holiday do what he does best. That would be giving you just a little bit of something new so you don't loathe him but not really give you a thing you really want. Read More...

Not Everyone Will Be Summoning In Final Fantasy XV
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
New Final Fantasy XV screenshots and battle system details have emerged that explain that only Noctis will be able to use summons If reports are correct then the current state of the Final Fantasy XV will have it so only one of the party can call upon summons during battle. That character being Noctis and those reports coming out of an interview between Famitsu and game director Hajime Tabata. Of course this isn't too strange given the past of the Final Fantasy franchise as having only one character be able to summon isn't new. So there is not that when it comes to all things Final Fantasy XV when we look at the battle systems. Read More...

A Not So Silent Night For The Order 1886
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Another Christmas themed trailer for The Order 1886 but it isn't all holiday mumbo jumbo with a bit of added gameplay Technically this new trailer for The Order 1886 should have fallen under the Christmas and Holiday well wishes list we had earlier. It isn't for a few reasons. One, Ready At Dawn added more to this trailer for The Order 1886 than just a bit of holiday fun and two we needed more to fluff with as everyone shuts down during this time making it harder and harder for us to keep you fully entertained. Especially since there are ass hats out there who want to keep you from playing your games with your families. I won't give them more than a few bits of recognition that I already have so back to The Order 1886. Read More...

You Can Only Cross-Buy Resident Evil HD REmaster For A Short Time
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
If you want Resident Evil HD REmaster as a PS3/PS4 cross-buy you better act fast as there is a catch If you've been waffling over which system to pick up Resident Evil HD REmaster, the PS3 or PS4, then Capcom has something to help decide. If you pre-order the game right now you can get it for both systems for the price of just getting it once. Granted it makes sense that you would pick up Resident Evil HD REmaster on the PS4 due to the power that console adds but for those who may still be clinging to the PS3 or just got the PS4 upgrade for the holidays then you can get the game without worry of needing to re-purchase. Although that logic seems a bit flawed; whatever… Sadly this is only in the North American region for now so sorry to all those outside the region who wanted Resident Evil HD REmaster as a cross buy. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
You wanted to see those Elite skins for Evolve so 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have given you this little Christmas gift During Evolve's Big Alpha people wanted to have a better look at all of those elite skins as they didn't seem to stand out. At least that was one of the major complaints people had as I am told. For those people it looks like 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have a fun little Christmas gift for you. That would be a nice big look at those Evolve for the monsters rendered in a way for us all to have a better look at them. Read More...

The Interview Is Up On Xbox Video But Not Video Unlimited…Smart Move
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
You can now watch The Interview on Xbox Video and other services but not Sony's own video unlimited… yet… While not directly video game news, The Interview being placed on our gaming systems for streaming could lead to some gaming outages in the coming days. What I am talking about here is that Sony has decided to let the film stream on YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video as of this writing. There are plans to let it go to other platforms, including Video Unlimited on the PlayStation Network but those plans are supposedly coming shortly. This is either a stoke of marketing genius or nothing is going to happen but people seeing The Interview. Read More...

Brawl Has An Update From Bloober Team…With Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 08:05 PM ]
Brawl, the re-built Basement Crawl, has an updated trailer for us to show how the developer has improved the PS4 title outside of changing the name Remember Basement Crawl from earlier this year? The creepy take on Bomberman… No? Well that makes sense as it was a title so poorly built that the developer Bloober Team asked everyone not to review it until the issues were fixed. Then the game was scrapped and re-branded as Brawl. Sounds more or less like they just shortened the title to combine the original title just as this version of the game contains the same core gameplay of Basement Crawl. Read More...

Time For A Naughty Dog History Lesson
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Naughty Dog is celebrating their 30th anniversary and the developer and PlayStation have a nice video to help educate you on where they came from If you just thought to yourself "I don't need a history lesson for Naughty Dog" then you are most likely the largest fan of the developer or you're an employee of theirs. They have had a long 30 year run that has been pushed and promoted pretty much all year. Now we get it pushed again as we have a nice long history lesson that shows you a 50 minute recap of where Naughty Dog started and are going here in the coming years. Read More...

Karma Is A Bitch In The Latest Battlefield Hardline Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Battlefield Hardline has a new trailer and with that a whole slew of new gameplay to try and spin the game's core narrative into a positive light Looks like we have a new trailer for Battlefield Hardline from EA and Visceral Games to look at over the holiday week. Just like the story trailer we had earlier in the month it looks like this one also follows more of the narrative and to the un-savvy viewer it looks like it is trying to push more of the positive spin that the police force needs in these current times. Maybe it is just me but the words non-lethal and rescues seem to get placed more prominent than all of the violence that will be taking place in Battlefield Hardline when we get it. It's a good move in my opinion and I hope it does the job to distance the game from the real world events people are connecting them all to. Read More...

See How The Monsters Of Evolve Have Evolved
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
In the latest livestream for Evolve we get a good look at how all of the monsters have evolved in the game as well as a better look at the Wraith The third monster for Evolve has been revealed and we've seen a bit on the Wraith but now it is time to get the full look at her. Not only the Wraith but all of the monsters we will be playing in Evolve when it launches on February 10th next year have gone though some evolving just as the game's title states. Now we have a nice long look at the evolution as well as a lot of game play for the monster so we can be better prepared when the Evolve beta lands on top of the game proper. Good thing 2K and Turtle Rock have some spare time to spend doing all of this. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
The opening cinematic for Resident Evil Revelations 2 is out for the world to see well before the first episode is available from Capcom If you just can't wait until next year to see what Resident Evil Revelations 2 has to offer then do we have a new video for you. It looks like we have the opening cinematic for the first episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 for you in full English. Apparently the Japanese version leaked earlier but now we have the other version that most of my readers will be able to understand. Unless you like using the poor Google Translate from English to whatever language you are trying to read this in right now. Read More...

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Zombies Trades Spacey For Other Names
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Activision teases Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies more but gives a bit of insight as to what is going on in the latest trailer One of the big draws for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare was Kevin Spacey and how amazing the performance he gave ended up being. The gameplay was just about as amazing as the performance for those who really care about the gameplay over how many huge celebrities that can be crammed into the narrative. For those of you who care about the actors and zombies then do we have a great tease from Activision and Sledgehammer again for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies. We have four times the names and another short glimpse at that gameplay stuff…for those that care about that again. Read More...

#killallzombies Adds More Zombies & Ways To Kill Them
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
There has been a content update for #killallzombies that adds in a few more weapons, Twitch commands, and new zombosses for the PS4 It's a rare thing when a game like #killallzombies captures my eye and truly keeps me coming back into the mix to do just what the game's title states. I was thrilled with the original idea that Beatshapers threw out there. I thought it would be a title that I played a little bit, generally enough for a full review, and then never pick up again. #killallzombies has proven me wrong as it is one of the few titles I drift back to when I don't have to keep covering all of the other games that keep coming out.
