The Rise Of The Tomb Raider Demo That Should Have Been At Gamescom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A stealthier version of the Rise Of The Tomb Raider demo that was shown off at Gamescom has been released to show combat doesn't have to be used in Rise Of The Tomb Raider If you were like me then you were most likely let down with the first showcase of Rise Of The Tomb Raider during Gamescom. It was claimed to be a stealth gameplay demo just for the show but there was a lot more combat mixed in and a lot less stealth than we should expect in Rise Of The Tomb Raider. It looks like Crystal Dynamics heard or read the outcry there as they have just released a new version of that "stealth" Rise Of The Tomb Raider gameplay footage only this time they really do mean stealth as Lara makes her way through the same area without trying to kill or injure a single person in Rise Of The Tomb Raider. Usually I am all about the killing to get rid of those pesky guards in games like Rise Of The Tomb Raider but that just has never been Lara's style before and more along the lines of Agent 47. Finally Some Resident Evil 0 Remaster Gameplay To Look At
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A gameplay demo for Resident Evil 0 Remaster from E3 has been finally released for the world to see and compare how far the upgrades are bringing the game It seems weird to be talking about this now but we have the E3 demo of Resident Evil 0 Remaster live and ready for all of you to view. It only took Capcom about two months and a few conventions to finally allow this footage of the demo out to the world but at least we have it. Up until now most of us only had the Resident Evil 0 Remaster E3 trailer to look at in terms of visuals and how the game may have been upgraded for the next gen systems. Now we have one of the community poorly playing through the ten minute demo just for us to see Resident Evil 0 Remaster. Read More...

28 Years Of Metal Gear Solid Will Be Concluded In The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new promotional video for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been released teasing that we will get the answers we've waited decades for It's a little crazy to think that we've been playing Metal Gear Solid games for almost thirty years. Twenty eight to be exact and it has been one hell of a ride that Kojima has taken us on over the years. I guess that will make the ending of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain much more emotional as it will be an end to a rather lengthy run. Konami has said they want to keep the franchise rolling but The Phantom Pain will be the end of the franchise with the man who started it all. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of August 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Thus concludes another week in video games here. It's been kind of a scattered mess all week as to what we have been getting but none the less we had another fun week for all things video games. I know I am happy to see that Rise Of The Tomb Raider is going to have a lot of what made the franchise amazing back in it. Then there is all the new stuff we had for Mad Max and all the multiplayer beta stuff for Black Ops 3. Oh and let us not discount the fact that the PlayStation Experience is coming back this year even though it is heading off to another city. Read More...

Get Ready To Move In Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 With New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new gameplay video for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been released to prep everyone for the Beta and it shows off the new movement mechanics in Black Ops 3 With the multiplayer beta for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 almost here and only a few tidbits of what we will get to experience in it out as of now I'd say it is high time for something new. This is just what we are about to get although I am sure that this is not what fans holding out for the beta are hoping for as we now have a tutorial on the new modes of movement in Black Ops 3 from Treyarch. There is going to be a lot more than just running and jumping here so I guess we needed to have a full on tutorial showcasing it all instead of the maps and modes for the Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta. The PlayStation Experience Is Coming Back & To A New Location
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 14th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
PlayStation Sony has announced that the PlayStation Experience will be happening again only this time the PlayStation Experience will be in San Francisco Given the success of last year's PlayStation Experience it would be a bit daft to think that it wouldn't be making a huge comeback this year. For the uneducated this would be Sony's huge PlayStation "Fan Fest" of sorts to show off all their new and current IPs, hardware, and ideas coming to their platforms. Seeing as they didn't make a big push for anything sans the Morpheus at E3 and other conventions we can most likely expect the PlayStation Experience to only show off items for the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and the like but who knows? Maybe Sony will have some kind of huge surprise just for this event here and no one but they know at this time. Read More...

The Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Multiplayer 'Beta' Goes Live Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
If you've pre-ordered Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 then you'll be glad to see that the multiplayer beta goes live next week for those PS4 owners If you've pre-order Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 already then you most likely know that the multiplayer "beta" is about to go live soon. At least it will be going live soon for the PS4 version of the game as that kicks off on August 19th as Sony obviously paid more to Activision this year to get Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 all the early stuff instead. All of the Xbox One players and PC players who pre-ordered Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 will still be helping stress test Treyarch's servers on August 26th so don't think that they are getting left out in the dark here. Everyone needs to get in on this to make sure the Black Ops 3 multiplayer runs smoothly for everyone; including the non-pre-order gamers out there. Read More...

Escape Plan Bravo Initiated For Tales From The Borderlands Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of August 2015 - 07:02 PM ]
Episode four for Tales From The Borderlands is releasing next week and we have a few screenshots to whet the whistle for the new addition to Tales From The Borderlands The wait is over as we have a release date for the next episode of Tales From The Borderlands. Only a two month wait for this episode titled Escape Plan Bravo so it looks like Telltale Games is getting back into the swing of things and keeping us all going on their titles. Even better that it is one of their better ones to me and still encompassing around Gearbox's franchise that we are all wait to get another addition to outside of Tales From The Borderlands. Maybe we'll all luck out and Tales From The Borderlands will culminate into an official Borderlands 3 announcement using some of the cannon that is being set here. Read More...

Resident Evil 2 Is Officially Getting A Remake
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
It has been made official as Resident Evil 2 is getting the remake treatment so even more gamers out there can experience the horror of Resident Evil 2 It looks like fans and the internet win again as Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake treatment and it won't be a fan project as we've seen spreading all over the internet. In fact this news comes right from the horse's mouth as Capcom has green-lit Resident Evil 2 Remake and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will again be at the helm. That would be the producer behind Resident Evil HD Remaster that hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC not too long ago and I am pretty sure he has his hands in Resident Evil 0 Remaster as well. New Rise Of The Tomb Raider Demo Shows Some Tomb Raiding
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The actual demo for Rise Of The Tomb Raider on the Gamescom show floor has been released at it feels much more Tomb Raider-like than ever I am pretty sure now that Rise Of The Tomb Raider has been announced to not only be hitting the Xbox 360 and Xbox One but also the PC and PS4 that Microsoft is not going to do any justice on showing off what we can all look forward to for the game. During Gamescom they showed the world on their huge stage what Rise Of The Tomb Raider would look like on their system only to make Crystal Dynamics' work look like a Thief/Uncharted rip-off. That's how I saw it at least even though I know way better. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/3/15 — 8/7/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games As Gamescom comes to a warp here we too come to wrap up another week in video games. There was so much to take in for this week we didn't get a chance to cover most things that cropped up for the industry at all. We tried our damnedest to do so but we are still just a small and fierce team. When the likes of Rock Band 4, Mad Max, and Final Fantasy XV are hammering us with so much it is hard to cover all video games out there or in the works. Hells, there was also a whole lot of Metal Gear Solid V that was handed out and we were only able to cover so little on it even though it was a huge thing. Read More...

All Kinds Of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Multiplayer Explained
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Another long demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain from Gamescom 2015 has been shown off and it explains more on Mother Base and the FOB multiplayer aspect of The Phantom Pain Get ready for a nice long Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain session here today as we have even more gameplay and trailers for the game to sink our eyes into right from Gamescom. With under a month left until the game hits the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on September 1st and given all of the footage we've seen up until now you would think that Konami would hold back to give us something to experience firsthand in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but thus is not the case. What is also not the case is that even though we have another 30+ minutes of gameplay to spy on it still feels like Kojima Productions has a lot more added into The Phantom Pain that we haven't seen just yet as well. Mafia 3 Revealed & Showing Us All What Family Truly Is
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The Mafia 3 trailer has finally been released to give us a feel for what the game will be about as well as introduces us to Mafia 3's protagonist We've all been waiting patiently since we first heard about Mafia 3 being on its way and getting a trailer out of Gamescom here. Last week it cause such a stir that all kinds of rumors and speculation flew around the internet about what Mafia 3 that I am sure Hangar 13 had a few good laughs at us all. Only they and 2K Games truly knew what was going on with Mafia 3 but thankfully we've all been let in on the fun as the world reveal trailer for the game has finally landed. Not only that but a slew of new information for Mafia 3 that shows not all of the speculation was too far off and that there really was a lot more planned here than just another Mafia game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
