Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site We did it. We made it not only to the end of another week in video games but the end of the year in video games as well. It was one hell of a ride and thankfully we were able to get us all through it. Even though this is generally the week that is the slowest we managed to get you two reviews for The Walking Dead and our impressions of Friday The 13th as it stands right now. There was also a lot of interesting news for both Assassin's Creed and For Honor as well as some for all of those PC gamers out there playing on Windows 10. Read More...

Beta Impressions — Friday The 13th: The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of December 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th We were able to sit down and give Friday The 13th: The Game a run for its money in the latest beta. Here's our thought on where Friday The 13th currently is The beta for Friday The 13th: The Game has come and it has gone. A lot of gamers out there had a chance to check out the game that they helped pay Gun Media and Illfonic to build for them and in cases like ours, we also had a chance to share some of the gameplay from the beta for you all. Of course this is all based on the PC version of the game and this isn't like other betas that we all hear about before a game launches. No, Friday The 13th: The Game is still actively in development so please keep that all in mind when reading through this and/or watching the attached gameplay. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 24th of December 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site It sure has been one cray week here for all of our video games; not like this isn't almost always the case. Generally this is when it all slows down and everyone is grasping for something to bring you. Hells, I've seen short tweets make headline news around the web during this time and we've tried to not dig into all of that. Instead we just dug in and were still able to find some great updates for Resident Evil and Watch Dogs 2 for you. Read More...

King's Quest Just Silently Received An Epilogue Episode For Us To Enjoy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of December 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
King's Quest A new episode for King's Quest has been released for all who happened to own the full season of King's Quest with very little notice given at all Here we go with yet another odd holiday gift, and seemingly out of nowhere, but a new episode of King's Quest has been released this week to those who have been playing close attention to the title the whole time. It looks like The Odd Gentlemen have given us one more episode in terms of an epilogue to the whole story and did so with nothing more than a mere tweet out there. Seems kind of strange to not boast this in any other form, especially given how Sierra Entertainment has been with King's Quest since they first brought it out so long ago, but none the less we have it and it is currently out there to download and hopefully enjoy. That's right, Hangar 13 has put together all of their heads and brought us a new racing mode for Mafia 3 as well as some car customization in the mix for making those races more fun and more exciting. That and there is also a nice, new, shiny car to win if you can make it through all of the races as the winner. Read More...

Review — Batman: The Telltale Series — City Of Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of December 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Telltale Series — City Of Light. This is the fifth episode of Telltale's take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did Here we go, and just before the holidays, but Batman: The Telltale Series' first season has come to a close and all of the mixed up lore that has been presented to us has all come to a head. It has been one interesting ride with Telltale Games' take on the beginning of the franchise and it has even brought us a few new bits of gameplay mechanics to go along with an epic story we've never really heard before. So far we've been rather impressed with Batman: The Telltale Series but now that the final episode is here, it is time to see if it is wrapped up nicely for us to want to look forward to another season or just something that should be left to rot in Arkham. Review — King's Quest: The Good Knight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of December 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
King's Quest We sit down and review King's Quest: The Good Knight. This is the fifth episode of The Odd Gentlemen's reboot to the famed franchise from Sierra Entertainment. Here's our review of King's Quest: The Good Knight It seems like it took forever to get to, but we are finally here and we have the final episode of King's Quest and the epic conclusion to the story we've slowly been living out over the last year. That is one of the huge issues with episodic titles but The Odd Gentlemen made it to the end and we can all see how they did with the reboot to Sierra Entertainment's huge franchise. Also to see if it should be on your list of games to give a try now that you can experience King's Quest all in one solid sitting. Read More...

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Will Be Giving Us Many Ways To Start Off
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of December 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Details on how The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will carry over all the saved data from the previous The Walking Dead titles has been detailed out a bit more It feels like it was waiting until the last minute, but as it looks we have a clue as to how The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will be keeping our saved data from the last two seasons to bring it all over when we spin up the new episodes on December 20th. This has been something that I know I was curious on how Telltale Games was going to do it and now we have an answer of sorts. It looks like we will have three options as detailed and they will give us a large variable on where we will start the game off with Clementine and A. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of December 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
The Surge More gameplay for The Surge has been released to give us a look at some of the systems in The Surge during the pre-alpha phase of it all It is always a nice day when we get more gameplay for any video game and here we go with more for The Surge. Sure this isn't the first bit of gameplay that we've seen for the game but it is the most recent given to us from Deck 13 and to show off some of the game's mechanics that may not have been focused on during Gamescom or E3 in the past. Maybe they were in smaller viewings but that doesn't detract that Focus Home Interactive has released some new gameplay for The Surge for all of us to enjoy. Or not enjoy. Read More...

Batman The final episode of Batman: The Telltale Series' first season is here and we get to join Batman as he heads back into Arkham to save Gotham yet again Today is the day as Batman: The Telltale Series' actions and events all come to a head with the final episode of the season releasing. It sure has been one insane ride through the new take on the franchise that Telltale Games has given us and I know that I have been mostly impressed so far. Especially given my views on the character and all of the villains that he takes on in every comic, show, and film. Now we get to see how this all ends and we build up for the most likely Batman: The Telltale Series season two. Read More...
