Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of 2017's video games in the bag and as it has seemed every week so far, it was a huge one. So many things popped up and so many things have yet to be discussed on the site here. We saw a whole lot more for Injustice 2's fighters, we're getting ever so ready for Prey, There was a whole lot for Friday The 13th, and then we had the Call Of Duty: WWII bombshell dropped. The Surge We have more gameplay for The Surge and this also gives us all some more of the combat for The Surge just a bit before the game's launch Here we go with more combat for The Surge to get us all ready for its release on May 16th. This is something we've seen a whole lot of over the last few months and weeks as Deck 13 has been showcasing one of the bigger features in the limb severing system they have in the game to make everything insanely deadly. That is at least one of the goals here for The Surge and hopefully it will make more sense when we get the game in our hands as I am still a bit confused on if it is a targeting system or just the luck of the draw kind of system based on where you hit. Friday The 13th We have another huge information dump for Friday The 13th: The Game that shows off the final versions of the counselors in Friday The 13th & other updates There is still no solid release date for Friday The 13th: The Game but that doesn't mean that the updates are going to stop rolling in at all. Gun Media is still waiting for all of the certifications to go through for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game and it looks like there was a whole lot that has yet to have been shown off from that build that Illfonic has put together. The Surge It is official that The Surge has hit gold status and it also looks like The Surge will be getting some PS4 Pro updates at launch and soon after I could have sworn this was news before but none the less it looks like The Surge has officially gone to gold status for us all. Pretty much locking in the release date that we have been given before from Deck 13 for the game, but now there is no take backs. It is set and final and now we can all sit back and wait for The Surge to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 16th. It's done, set, and getting ready to be packaged up and shipped out. Read More...

Fallout Things out in the rumor mill about Fallout are pointing to Bethesda announcing a new open-world Fallout game at E3 this year Sometimes it’s cool to wonder and speculate. When Bethesda did their first big E3 press conference they unveiled the long anticipated Fallout 4 in a mighty fine fashion. I was just as surprised to see them making it an annual thing with BE3 2017 confirmed just a few months ago. Now I wouldn’t expect them to keep showing up unless they have something huge coming. The Surge The limb cutting mechanic for The Surge has a new trailer to try and show it off as well as the loot and crafting system that The Surge will employ Here we go with yet another video for The Surge and this time it is slated toward a mechanic I have been trying to wrap my head around in the game. Deck 13 has stated that there is a limb cutting mechanic in the game and has shown it off a few times before. From what I've seen in the past for The Surge it looks like just how it sounds as limbs do come off when hit, but what I have yet to understand is just how we do this without just flailing wild and hoping for the best. Friday The 13th It has just been announced that Friday The 13th: The Game will allow Jason the ability to use traps to further the horror of Friday The 13th matches We are supposed to be getting into the final stretch of Friday The 13th: The Game based on the update from last week, or at least that was the assumption based on Gun Media's thoughts of Early 2017, but that has not seemed to stop the updates and changes coming to the game. Last week we saw the new ability for Jason that Illfonic has put together for us, and now we get to see another addition to Jason to make him even deadlier. Video Games The list of free video games hitting the PlayStation and Xbox systems in April has been released and there are some great video games included in the mix A new month is almost on us here with April and that means new video games that we are going to get for free. Well video games that you will get for free if you are part of the PlayStation Plus or Xbox Gold services. If you are then you may be in for a treat as the list of titles going live starting next month is here and we have it for you. Friday The 13th During PAX East it was teased that Friday The 13th: The Game was changing up Jason's fourth ability to fit in line with Friday The 13th lore, and here it is One of the things a lot of people noticed during the Friday The 13th: The Game panel during PAX was that there was a new ability for Jason that had yet to be shown off and was different than what was in the beta test. People pointed it out and as is normal, Gun Media and Illfonic made note of it but then gave no new information of hints to it all. All that was known that it was something completely new for Friday The 13th: The Game but would please a lot of fans of the franchise and looking for some new gameplay. Read More...

Friday The 13th New shot of Friday The 13th's counselors has been placed out there to give us a feel for who we will play in Friday The 13th that's not Jason It's been a wait but here we go with Friday The 13th: The Game getting some more time in the sun. No, we don't have a release date for everyone out there as it is still set for Early 2017, but what we do have is a look at all of the counselors in the game that Illfonic and Gun Media have crafted side-by-side. All ten of our victims counselors are no present for Friday The 13th and all filling their specific roles that have been placed out there for them. The Surge The final release date for The Surge has been set and with it we have another fun CG video for The Surge to celebrate and get us amped up even more It looks like today is the day that we change The Surge's May release date into a solid May 16th release date as it has now been set for us. This was about when I figured that Deck 13 would be looking to release the game, but now it is confirmed and those waiting to give it a good play can now try to shuffle their schedules around to fit it in. There are already a few other great titles listed as launching on the same day, but all in different gameplay styles than The Surge so now you will have options and yet another title to put in when you need to break up the flow or monotony of the others out there. System Shock 3 A new publisher has joined to help System Shock 3 finally come to fruition after System Shock 3 was first confirmed back in 2015 with little else Maybe you remember back in December of 2015 when we finally had word that System Shock 3 was officially in the works or maybe you don't. It has been quite some time since we've hear anything new out of Otherside Entertainment on it and I know it fell on the back-burner for me as well. Friday The 13th During PAX East, Friday The 13th: The Game had not only a new trailer drop but also a brand new Jason for the Friday The 13th franchise to carry on I hope you are ready for a huge dump of visuals and gore for Friday The 13th: The Game as it looks like we have a plethora of it here fresh from PAX East. As has been the case for some time, Gun Media brought a whole lot more to the convention as we all still wait for that Early 2017 release date to finally come so we can start killing everyone on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. The Crow's Eye New gameplay for The Crow's Eye is here and it looks like the release date has been set for The Crow's Eye as well in a few weeks Earlier in the year here we were treated with a nice little tease for a game called The Crow's Eye. It looked to be an interesting psychological puzzle style game that 3D2 Entertainment was going to test our brains and sanity with and then there wasn't much more of a word from it since. I know it piqued my interest when I saw it and was eagerly waiting to see some solid gameplay and possibly a date to look out for when it would hit my PC. As it turns out though, it looks like both have been answered here as The Crow's Eye will be launching on March 20th here and we also have some solid gameplay to look at and see if it will hold up to the speculations.
