Here we go again with the new age Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider game that we all loved, quite literally, 2 years ago. Only this time, it's a different artifact being tracked and a new villain for Drake and friends to out smart. All of it has a very epic, action film taste to it. Evading guards, traversing a modern warfare and running through the snow in Tibet make for a great adventure along with a very witty and humorous feel mixed in. The general consensus of Uncharted 2 is that it's going to be an extraordinary experience with a level of polish that is going to blow us all away. Honestly, I would have been satisfied if they just gave a straight sequel with none of these bells and whistles that they are offering with this sequel - I just enjoyed it that much. Thankfully, no one over at Naughty Dog listened to me and not only are they about to drop one of the most anticipated titles of the year, they are getting together with Sony to award some Fortune Hunter Editions of the game to some lucky gamers (as if we really needed additional reasons to play the demo). Yesterday Valve announced a new mode for Left4Dead 2: Scavenge Mode. Scavenge Mode is a competitive mode where the Survivors must fill a generator with cans of fuel while a clock ticks away to the end of the round. Each can of fuel added is one point and added time to the clock, with only the Infected in your path. Much like Versus mode, the opposing team takes the roles of the special/boss Infected in order to stop the Survivors from scoring by any means necessary. There comes a time when you realize there are certain products are just not for your demographic anymore. Yet another game that has had the Multiplayer mode stapled to it. You all know how I feel about that. But this time it looks like Capcom has done it in a way that could overly help with the game instead of detract. At least as story goes. The Civil War saga in the Marvel universe has been one of the best stories to grace comic books in quite some time. It's a great story that is an allegorical commentary in the wake of 9/11 and The Patriot Act. In the storyline, a Superhuman, Nitro, goes nuclear in Stamford, Connecticut, killing hundreds during a reality TV show. A TV show that was like COPS but following the New Warriors. Once this happens, the US public demands that Superhumans answer for their actions and the Superhuman Registration Act is put in place forcing heroes to come out and show who they are. Read More...

In Assassin's Creed the missions were awesome the first time you played the mission type. After the 20th time you had to find an informant before you could go and assassinate someone it got very repetitive. I know I got bored with these missions very fast and wouldn't have completed the game had it not been for a very intriguing story. But that was the saving grace for me. That and my unmatched need to finish a game while grabbing all the little story elements as possible. Read More...

It is the job of trailers to get people excited about the product coming out. It's generally short version of the awesome that is in store for you when you get the full version.
