Portal 2 Co-Op Trailer Gets Extended

I am sure we have seen the multitude of videos and screen shots of Portal 2 in the last few weeks. Yesterday Valve released the extended trailer for the co-op mode of Portal 2. Something that was shown at PAX Prime this past week at Seattle. It is worth a watch as it showcases that teamwork that is the only way to get pass certain levels. I'm not sure if they will include the high-five feature but it would be funny if you were able to self high-five yourself. My Take: I seriously cannot wait for Portal 2 to come out as I am a huge fan of the first one. Read More...

Review: Mafia II

From the moment my character woke up in the world of Mafia II, I was swimming in rich ambiance. 2K Czech did everything to put you directly into the life of Vito Scaletta. Waking up in your boxers and 'wife-beater' shirt, your buddy Joe is calling you with your next 'job'. This gives you an immediate sense of who you are that really draws you into this character. New inFAMOUS 2 Footage That Will Jolt The Senses

Yes, that title is cheesy, but it was a quick way to let you know that the upcoming inFAMOUS 2 looks like it has gone leaps and bounds graphically from the first. From these screen shots and video it almost looks akin to the upgrades from Uncharted to Uncharted 2. For those of you who are a PlayStation nut or fan, you know that is a major upgrade. Learn Where The Plague Comes From in Dead Rising 2

Dead Rising 2 is only a few weeks out from launch. Wouldn't it be nice to have a solid feel for what is going into the game? You already know the basics of the story, the characters you will encounter, the weapons you'll use as well as the multiplayer. Yea, it kind of would be nice to have it all in one nice little spot. Well at least in four different video spots, which are all shown below. Nintendo Drops Portable Price For Holidays

As if Nintendo didn't already control enough of the portable console market, they wanted to really push the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL handhelds this holiday season by reducing prices. Beginning on September 12th, the Nintendo DSi will drop to $149.99 and the DSi XL will drop to $169.99. The DS Lite will continue at the $129.99 price point. As always, the marketing team over at Nintendo of America (NOA) makes a brilliant move: drop the price of the DSi and DSi XL now in September in order to sell more units for Holiday 2010. Borderlands Giving Out DLC For Free

Isn't it always the case now? Everyone is out to make a buck one way or another at the expense of our pockets. The recent price hike for XBL is a good example of that. What you may have missed is the push for Game of the Year (GOTY) or Special Edition versions of games that come loaded with all that expensive DLC pumped out after game launch. Obviously this is simply a play to grab all the people who didn't shell out cash to make sure the DLC was created. LittleBigPlanet and Batman: Arkham Asylum are great examples here of this. Gamescom 2010 Video Swarm [Part 2]

I hope you were not overwhelmed by the last batch of videos we brought to you from Gamescom 2010. There were a whole lot of new videos pumped out into cyberspace as we said before. Therefore, we would bring out even more of those videos posted throughout the convention's entire run. Just so you know what you are in store for, let me give you a quick over view: we have trailers for Sorcery, Patapon 3, Costume Quest, DC Universe and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Enslaved Went West To Gamescom And Showed The Goods

Up until now, I have been only mildly interested in Enslaved: Odyssey To The West. It has an okay concept, but the screens, clips and hands-on I have seen or had up until now have done nothing to overly impress me. Please notice how I said "up until now." If you look back, you'll see it in the sentence prior. We were given a really great look at where the game has progressed to so far and it feels and looks like a whole new game to me. Splatterhouse Goes All Retro Style... In A Good Way

If I have not dropped enough hints yet, let it be explicitly known that I am not a big fan of the "retro" game look in modern times. I see it as a way for companies to milk gamers who don't have a better head on their shoulders so they can pretend to be gaming back when they first started. Gamers put money in the companies' pocket so they may play a game they've very likely played a billion times already. *cough* Golden Eye *cough* So when I heard that the most recent Splatterhouse trailer coming out of Gamescom showed off the retro look of the title, I was a bit pissed and extremely concerned.
