E3 Impressions of APB (All Points Bulletin)
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 3rd of June 2009 - 09:09 PM ]
APB, which stands for All Points Bulletin, is the upcoming Persistent Online Game from developer Realtime Worlds. It is a game in which players enter cities as one of two sides, an enforcer or a criminal. With up to 100 people per city, the two sides, as well as various gangs, are in a constant conflict. APB strives to make the gameplay more player driven, than game driven as with most Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games. They like to consider it as a Dynamic Action Based game, not an MMO or a Role-Playing Game (RPG). Read More...

Aggrogamer E3 Recap for June 2nd
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 3rd of June 2009 - 03:58 PM ]
So day 2 has come and gone for E3 and it was a day ranging from dull to exciting. We saw what Nintendo had to offer, as well as Sony, and finally got to hit the showroom floor to start looking at all the titles. First we all had the chance to attend the Nintendo press conference and they showed off mostly what we've come to expect, which is plenty of casual games aimed towards a broader audience. Which is exactly why the slogan this year was "Everybody's Game". With titles like Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort, Style Savvy, and James Patterson's Women's Murder Club: Games Of Passion, it is easy to see that they are truly trying to reach every demographic. by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 29th of May 2009 - 05:20 PM ]
Respawning, reset, restart and resurrection, second chances all gamers know about and stand loyally with against the tides of gaming oppression.  As Binh mentioned in his story here, fans of Blizzard Entertainment are now getting a second chance to attend Blizzcon.  Fans of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo and some game called World of Warcraft (you’ve probably never heard of it) will now be able to purchase tickets online tomorrow starting at 10am PDT, most likely crippling the Internet with the surge of activity as they clamor for the chance to attend the spectacle that is Blizzcon.  Battle.net is the source for your ticketing needs, but if you’re unsuccessful tomorrow, you can always watch it on Pay Per View. EA Totally Bringing It On Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of May 2009 - 10:50 PM ]
What EA is bringing to E3 2009 Not to be outdone by any means by Activision, EA is coming on even stronger for their list of games to be viewable. Two not even in their booth, but in special rooms just for them. They are all listed below in the release because there are so many to name that I would just be trolling on. But they are bringing 27 games to public view. At least this is what they've officially told the world so far. Read More...

We Need Some Support Up Here Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of May 2009 - 04:22 PM ]
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Trailer and Screen Shots When the first game came out, EA was totally trying to show their lighter side with some pretty funny clips and shots from the game. Something that most of us got use to seeing and having a good laugh at to get us excited about the game. For some reason that is unknown to me, it would seem they are going a different route with this one. At least from the start. I'm expecting to see some things like that in the future, but for now, we get some serious stuff. Read More...

Mo' Money, Mo' Blizzard
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 18th of May 2009 - 03:27 PM ]
So yesterday (5/16/09) was the big day for those who want to spend time in the World...of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. Tickets for Blizzcon went on sale yesterday and it looks like the economy has no affect, as tickets for Blizzcon sold out in 30 minutes. Apparently there is something that will get people out of the house and do something. Fortunately for us that would be Blizzcon 2009. For those who missed their chance to get into the action for the tickets, I would not worry. Read More...

BLIZZKAHN!!!!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2009 - 09:43 PM ]
BlizzCon® 2009 Tickets on Sale May 16 Yea, the title sucks, but who cares? Just thrown out there was the dates and details on trying to get your hands on some of those coveted Blizzcon passes that will most likely get snagged up in a matter of minutes again. But here is a good 11 day warning to get ready for the internet to crash due to all the Blizzard fans from trying to log on at the same time. But this time around, there is a little extra for those of you who can't get passes. Not talking the ability to watching on Pay Per View either. Read More...

Alright, Enough Already
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2009 - 04:29 PM ]
More Wii Accessories Well it looks like the Wii is now creating it's very own fitness facilities right in your home. I understand the popularity of the Wii Fit, I mean its innovative, it's new, it's healthy, but really these items will be put in a closet or stashed somewhere after a few months of boredom if more games cannot be used with them. First up is the WiiDum, 1.7lb weights that cradles the controller ever so softly. Read More...

Bragging OnLive With Clips
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of March 2009 - 05:47 PM ]
Overview Of OnLive If you have been paying attention to anything that has come out of this year's GDC, or at least following the Total Meltdown Podcast, you most likely heard some bit on the new service called OnLive that is being worked on. Some say it is the future of digital downloading, and others are skeptical about this new system that has been proposed. Which of course is why I went out to ask a few things from the people behind this service to get a few answers and information to give out. For those of you who have no clue what OnLive is, here is a an overview of it and in simpler terms for everyone. Read More...
