DC Universe Online Taking On All New Heroes

So the beta for DCUO came and went. We were lucky enough to be part of that whole experience. Well now the full version of DC Universe Online is ready for you to pick up or download depending on your preferred platform to play. To celebrate that fact, as is usual, there is a new trailer to show off for the game and to help promote it. There is nothing all that new in the clip as it mostly comprises of a mashing together of already seen footage. Sony Now Has An App For That

SCEE has finally let loose the app they announced back in December that will allow PlayStation fans to do pretty much what XBox fans have been doing for a long while now. That is access all their stats, news and talk about all things on their chosen console. Man that took a while to get out there. I totally can't wait to use it to keep up on my friends and trophies. Oh wait… I can't… It is only for people with European accounts. Anyone can download the app to their iPhone/iPod or Android phones right now, although work arounds are needed if you live outside of Europe. Read More...

Impressions: DC Universe Online

So here we are a week out from the launch of DC Universe Online and considerable time has been spent tweaking and fixing bugs in the beta, both on PC and PS3. I had the chance to be a part of the beta, along with all of you PSPlus subscribers or those lucky to have swagged a code to get in. If you don't fall into either of those categories, let me fill you in on what you have been missing out on. The Story Just like any RPG, be it MMO or Table Top, there is an ultimate evil trying to destroy/control the universe. Looks Like Castlevania To Be Resurrected By DLC

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow came and went. It was a great addition to the franchise in my opinion but the replay on the game is almost nonexistent. Once you beat the main game and then clean up the challenges and Paladin play-through there really is not much more to do with the game. It just sits on the shelf collecting dust like all of tomes in the Vampire's castle. To make sure this isn't going to happen too long, it would seem that Konami is dishing out some DLC to give you more reason to head back. Read More...

Bulletstorm Will Help Sate That Gears Of War 3 Need

No I'm not saying that Bulletstorm is going to be the stop gap in the need for Gears Of War 3. It will however score you a slot in the GoW3 beta. Well at least if you preorder the "Epic Edition" of Bulletstorm that is coming to the XBox 360. There is no price difference for the "Epic Edition" from any standard price for a new title ($59.99) but there are a few extras outside of the Gears beta. Those being 25,000 experience points and visual upgrades for the iconic leash, deadly Peace Maker Carbine, boots and armor for online play. Read More...

The VGAs Tried To Augment Our Reality. How'd They Do?

So being as the VGAs have kind of moved away from being an awards show and are now just another way to sell ad space for gaming companies, you would think they would try to do something to bring gamers' interest back. After almost two decades since the last Splatterhouse game released on the Sega Genesis, we finally received a reboot of sorts. Well, it's more along the lines of a retelling - backed by the power of the new technology we only dreamt of way back then. Batman To Take On The Military In Arkham City

OnLive Now Giving Us Another Way To Be Voyeurs

Raise your hand if you are a glutton for pain and torment. Also if you are a fan of being teased by others playing games while you are stuck somewhere you can't. I know my hand is staying down. But there is good news for you out there that are a fan of strip clubs and being teased. Just released on the iPad and Android Tablet is a way live spectate of any of the OnLive game sessions from around the world. That way of course being a new mobile app that is ready for download and does not, I repeat does not, require jail breaking to run the full-featured Flash, Silverlight and Windows 7 application.
