A Nightclub For The Social Gamer

Ok, so this is either a genius idea or one of the worst ideas that is going to flop and just make a few people poorer. The idea being a nightclub tailored specifically for gamers. A Las Vegas nightclub at that too. All slated to open its doors to the public here in a few months allowing gamers and non-gamers the chance to drop their cash on everything expected at a nightclub and videogames. Batman: Arkham City - Co-Op With Joker?

Now here is an interesting twist that could occur with the upcoming Batman: Arkham City, co-op play with the Clown Prince of Crime! At least from a video that seems to have been leaked out through a few European websites that shows just that. A nice little fight scene where Batman and Joker fight off a few waves of thugs in the streets of Arkham City. Pretty cool if it is a real thing and not some fan's attempt at internet humor and fame. Silent Hill Downpour Screen Shots, No Rain Puns Here

New L.A. Noire Trailer Sounds Good But Looks Off

Rockstar Games just released a new game play trailer for their upcoming title, L.A. Noire. Oh and the release date of May 17th here in the US. We can all rejoice in the fact that the next Rockstar game is not too far off. Blah blah blah…oh and the trailer is added below for you to watch and get your panties in a bunch over. Remember that viral video for Mortal Kombat: Rebirth that we brought you back in June of 2010? Sure you do. I am also sure that you have already heard the rumors and speculation that it was actually going to become a ten part web series with some of the cast coming back. So I'm Guessing This Is The PSP 2

Earlier today (1/24/2011) one of the outlets that give out a lot of PlaySation news slipped out an image of what could easily be the PSP 2 through a yfrog account. It has since been pulled down with the image being replaced with a nice "Removed Due To Violation of ToS" image so no one can see it any more. Well you lucked out that I was on the case and was able to snag not only the image but a screen shot of the page which you can see below. Now it is rumored that there will be an announcement for this later in the week, I'd say that this all but confirms it is on the plate for announcement. Read More...

Rule Of 3 And The Gears Of War Compilation

So just as Sony did when GoWIII was hitting its console, Epic is doing the same for GoW3 for the 360. Those titles being God of War III and Gears of War 3 respectfully before I move on. So yes this means that if for some reason you held out on getting either of the Gears of War titles, you can look forward to getting a combo pack with both of those games on disc to catch you up with everything before the big daddy hits. Since it is all about the number three here you also are getting the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection. That of course makes it a technical three titles in one box. Read More...

PS3 Player Can Portal Into PCs For Free

Well here's an interesting little tidbit of news. Any gamer that purchases Portal 2 on the PlayStation 3 will get FREE access to play the game from their Steam client. Think like a digital copy that comes with most BluRay films nowadays. Oh, but wait, there is more. Not only do you get a "free" copy of the game for PC, and technically Mac, but the two systems will be able to communicate with each other to allow for co-op play between the PS3 and PC/Mac. By communicate I am not only talking for play, but you will be able to actually chat with the other player and I'm not talking by screaming really loud. Review: LittleBigPlanet 2

Sackboy is back and he is bringing a team of new characters, features and mini-games for the PS3's answer to Nintendo's Mario. Well Super Mario Bros. if you were then allowed to mod the game and pass out your mod to a huge network of players online. If you have not yet heard of LittleBigPlanet or LittleBigPlanet 2 you have been living a very sheltered life. Lara Croft Is A Dirty Little Minx In The New Tomb Raider

Ok, so I might have to eat my previous words about the reboot for Tomb Raider. I may have been a bit quick to judge but in my defense that was back before anything real or tangible had been seen. I mean all we had was a rather unimpressive description of the story. Well now we have a good look at the new vision that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix are taking the game. Story Time With The Helghast Of Killzone 3

So here is further proof that an FPS can have a good story mixed in without the need for multi-player being the selling point. I mean let's face it, Killzone is not the franchise that all you multi-player freaks hop right out to go play. Don't you even try to deny it or swear that you do. We Got To See A Hydra Use A Portal At CES

At last year's CES we were introduced to a product called Sixense. It was a motion controller being made by one of the smaller companies Razor had under its wing. Sixense was a really cool device with A LOT of potential, but nothing seems to have happened over the last year. Well at least nothing all too public.
