Just as last year, The Walking Dead Escape was back with a vengeance at Petco Park during the San Diego Comic Con. For the uninitiated this is an event where a good portion of the sports arena in San Diego was converted into an obstacle course in the theme of AMC's The Walking Dead. It really allows for people to really test their mettle and some of their survival skills to brag that they could survive the initial zombie outbreak. I was lucky enough to get to run the course again this year and what I found interesting was that most people I ran with compared the experience to most of the action zombie video games on the market today. Granted we were not allowed to attack the zombies in the run, but I would have to agree with the sentiment as there has been a push in the industry with Outlast and Dying Light this year. All of the details leading up to now surrounding Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag have been pretty spectacular. Some of it has just been written details or descriptions from all of us bloggers out there. Luckily that is no longer going to be the case as we have a full view of the open world and special features in ACIV. Just in case you want to still go into the game blind, I'll give you a bit of the run down in text form. The big thing is the "openness" of the game's world. Read More...

I swear if there ends up being more "behind the scenes" than actual game play for Beyond: Two Souls I will start a riot. I'm talking a full scale riot where we end up with a plethora of ghost wandering around attaching themselves to little kids so they can make the experience we should have received. Now that's a riot. Let us hope that things don't need to progress to that point and let us place our hope that the game will be long and awesome enough to have necessitated all these behind the scenes video. Words can paint an amazing picture and level of detail in the mind's eye. But you know what is better? Actually getting to see things with your own eyes. We have just that for Murder: Soul Suspect straight from E3. Well at least Square Enix and Airtight games were nice enough to provide us and the world with a wonderful view of what they were showing in their booth at E3. While I will do the self serving thing and point you to my full write up, it was mostly based off what you are going to get to see in the next 25 minutes. You also don't have to wait in the long line to check it out, so there is that bonus too. Read More...

Frankly, I am surprised it took this ling to finally get some Grand Theft Auto V game play. I would have thought it would have been out a few weeks ago, but hey, I'm guessing Rockstar had more important things to deal with. Either way though, here we go. A nice little look at what the game will look like during game play and a bit more into the characters of the world. I do have to say that it looks pretty cool that there will be missions that require you to hop between each PC to get everything done. Not in just a quick character swap way, but in a character swap that requires you to control another PC while the last PC goes all NPC. Read More...

It's Independence Day in the U.S. and what better way to celebrate it with blowing up a part of it and pretending that you fully understand what our rights, freedoms, and the day its self is all about. Don't worry this isn't a preachy thing about to start, but an intro for the latest trailer for Saints Row IV that just happens to have all of the above things mentioned displayed in the most eccentric way possible. It also includes an 8 bit text adventure reference for all of you nostalgia hunting humans out there. Isn't that lovely? Read More...

You most likely saw the Destiny game play footage during the PlayStation event at E3. You also most likely saw my Destiny recording from the Activision booth. Just in case you missed it all of those times, Bungie and Activision have been gracious enough to give us yet another look at the game play of Destiny. On the plus side, it doesn't have my horrid video angle and "shaky cam" to watch from. Nor does it have the game stalling out or lackluster player call outs to each other. Read More...

While at E3 a few weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to sit and play Saints Row IV. I just recently began enjoying the franchise so I was a little curious as to where everything was heading towards in the franchise. I am sure that if you are in here reading right now, you are in the same boat I was in. Luckily for you though, instead of regaling you with all the fancy words and metaphors of how the game played, I'll just throw you a bone and show you the demo that we were allowed to play. The video below does have a bit of the actual story mixed in so Spoiler Alert. Read More...

If ever there was a title that would make me actually purchase a WiiU, Bayonetta 2 would be that title. After getting to toil around with the latest build of the game, it makes me sad that I will most likely have to wait some time to actually get to play it proper. But that is me and the tens of WiiU owners out there; here is a little more information on why you should be picking up the game next year and why all of the non-WiiU owners will be jealous. This was my first time playing a real game with the WiiU controller and I was a bit worried as all of the tech/non-tech demos I've played were designed specifically with the controller in mind. Bayonetta originally wasn't so I was expecting it to be a bit on the rough side in terms of controls. Read More...

Dying Light was one of the first games I got to sit in and watch at E3 and it was also one of the titles that really caught my attention leading up to the show. I completely enjoyed both of the Dead Island games and was interested to see how the FPS zombie genre was going to be changed as to make this a truly new IP for us gamers. Then I was a bit let down by essentially being shown Dead Island, with a few upgrades, mixed with the basics of Mirror's Edge. This isn't a horrible combination, but it doesn't really create anything completely new. Read More...

I was born when Mad Max 2 hit the big screen and I was barely four when Beyond Thunderdome came out, but that still didn't stop me from enjoying the films, and the NES game, in my youth. You can only imagine my excitement when I saw the announcement trailer for Mad Max during the Sony press conference. Even though it was all CGI, Avalanche Studios had an Alpha build of the game in the Warner Bros. booth to show to all of us eager fans. Read More...

I would be lying if I said that The Evil Within wasn't the biggest reason for me to go to E3 this year. Between TEW and Murdered I could have left fulfilled early. Even though I didn't get my hands on the game, I was overly impressed with what we were shown during the closed door demo. Here's a bit more on what got my jaw to drop and people screaming in the room. If you are a fan of Resident Evil 4 then you might as well already through your money at TEW. All of the game play mechanics, camera tricks, and scenarios that made RE4 and amazing game look to be what was used as the base for this game. Read More...

I have been filled with all kinds of mixed emotions since the announcement of Batman: Arkham Origins. I am a huge fan of the franchise and storyline of the game's world. I am not a fan of most prequels and unfortunately Arkham Origins falls into the prequel world. Usually prequels just feel like the developers wanted to do another title in the franchise but have been written into a corner or need to find a reason to explain why the protagonist is weaker compared to where fans left them. Fortunately for myself, I was granted access to the elusive "behind doors playable demo" of E3 and had a chance to play around with the younger version of Batman. Let me pour out my feelings on this now. Read More...

If I have to say one thing to start it off, Bungie and Activision kept the ball rolling with Destiny and not hiding anything special behind the closed doors of E3. While yes there was a demo that people stood in line for up to two hours to get a new look at Destiny, for the most part it was exactly what was shown during the Sony press conference at the start of the show. Even down to the people who were showing off the game. If you don't believe me, you can go ahead and watch the whole demo that was shown in Activision's booth during the week. Read More...

Keeping to their word, Activision and Infinity Ward showed the world most of what they had for E3 during their Call Of Duty: Ghosts All Access event the Sunday before the show began proper. Almost to the point where it was almost pointless for anyone who is an online blogger/journalist to even cover on the show floor. Mind you, I did say almost. Besides having maybe a minute or so more of the game play shown during the event there were only a few things shown that highlighted the new engine that Call Of Duty: Ghosts will be running on.
