Wait no longer as here are the free games coming to PlayStation Plus January 2015. Happy New Year to us all Just like that blasted Christmas week we are back to scraping the bottom of the barrel for news and here we have the free games for PlayStation Plus in 2015. The New Year's week is just as bad as ever for any hard hitting news and updates for the video game world. It sucks but at least you have us here to try and keep you informed as much as we can and this time it is for all of you playing the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita as long as Sony can keep the PSN up and running. But that is a whole different issue now. Read More...

Ultra-violent game Hatred has been Greenlit on Steam despite the outcry and disgust from the gaming community For a game like Hatred that has been getting a lot of hatred, pardon the puns this time, it seems odd that if all of it was true then the game would not have been approved by Steam's Greenlight project. Yes, Hatred has reached the appropriate level of positive votes and it is now greenlit to be on Steam once Destructive Creations actually finishes building the game. It looks like all of that "negative" press the game was getting finally made this title get the steam roller momentum, pun not intended, so we will be seeing Hatred on our PCs via Steam in 2015. Capcom may have accidentally leaked that Resident Evil Zero HD REmaster is in the works via the pre-order bonus for Resident Evil HD REmaster update If the image is correct then it looks like Resident Evil Zero HD REmaster may be the next title in the works from Capcom getting the full HD upgrade. This of course comes from an update to the pre-order page for Resident Evil HD REmaster where the developer/publisher wanted to show off the cool theme you can get for your PS4 if you pre-order before the January 13th 2015 release date in Japan. Make that date January 20th and you'll have the NA release date for those who were wondering. Any-who, some eagle eyed people who don't work for Capcom in Japan caught a small glimpse on the theme image that wasn't supposed to be released into the wild. Read More...

Pirates of The Talos Principle will find out quickly how Croteam punishes them for trying to snag the free copy of the game There is nothing funnier than when someone gets caught doing something wrong and I think this pirate of The Talos Principle takes the cake today. It looks like Croteam has again taken steps to fight piracy of their games and in this case it looks like it was more subtle than their immortal pink scorpion of Serious Sam 3: BFE. Another great classic that not only punishes the pirate but also kind of forces them into the spotlight of internet shame as some complain them as bugs. In the case of The Talos Principle that is just how it happened. Read More...

A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Even though it was a holiday week we still managed to scrape up quite a bit of news for video games now didn't we? Usually it is bone dry when it comes around the Christmas holidays but we still were able to find out a few things on Final Fantasy XV and Evolve. The rest was more or less filler and nothing all too new and exciting but I guess that is what happens when we let all those developers and publishers go home and enjoy their families. Why would we ever want to do that? Read More...

Over the Christmas holiday it was announced that there will be a chicken hat addition to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to make the game easier for those having trouble If you are a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid and looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V then you were probably one of those people who sat around with Hideo Kojima on Christmas day while he opened presents, talked films, and then trolled everyone looking for a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. To be fair, you all should have been having a good time with your families instead of watching someone who's culture doesn't celebrate the holiday do what he does best. That would be giving you just a little bit of something new so you don't loathe him but not really give you a thing you really want. Read More...

New Final Fantasy XV screenshots and battle system details have emerged that explain that only Noctis will be able to use summons If reports are correct then the current state of the Final Fantasy XV will have it so only one of the party can call upon summons during battle. That character being Noctis and those reports coming out of an interview between Famitsu and game director Hajime Tabata. Of course this isn't too strange given the past of the Final Fantasy franchise as having only one character be able to summon isn't new. So there is not that when it comes to all things Final Fantasy XV when we look at the battle systems. Read More...

Another Christmas themed trailer for The Order 1886 but it isn't all holiday mumbo jumbo with a bit of added gameplay Technically this new trailer for The Order 1886 should have fallen under the Christmas and Holiday well wishes list we had earlier. It isn't for a few reasons. One, Ready At Dawn added more to this trailer for The Order 1886 than just a bit of holiday fun and two we needed more to fluff with as everyone shuts down during this time making it harder and harder for us to keep you fully entertained. Especially since there are ass hats out there who want to keep you from playing your games with your families. I won't give them more than a few bits of recognition that I already have so back to The Order 1886. Read More...

You wanted to see those Elite skins for Evolve so 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have given you this little Christmas gift During Evolve's Big Alpha people wanted to have a better look at all of those elite skins as they didn't seem to stand out. At least that was one of the major complaints people had as I am told. For those people it looks like 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have a fun little Christmas gift for you. That would be a nice big look at those Evolve for the monsters rendered in a way for us all to have a better look at them. Read More...

You can now watch The Interview on Xbox Video and other services but not Sony's own video unlimited… yet… While not directly video game news, The Interview being placed on our gaming systems for streaming could lead to some gaming outages in the coming days. What I am talking about here is that Sony has decided to let the film stream on YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video as of this writing. There are plans to let it go to other platforms, including Video Unlimited on the PlayStation Network but those plans are supposedly coming shortly. This is either a stoke of marketing genius or nothing is going to happen but people seeing The Interview. Read More...

Brawl, the re-built Basement Crawl, has an updated trailer for us to show how the developer has improved the PS4 title outside of changing the name Remember Basement Crawl from earlier this year? The creepy take on Bomberman… No? Well that makes sense as it was a title so poorly built that the developer Bloober Team asked everyone not to review it until the issues were fixed. Then the game was scrapped and re-branded as Brawl. Sounds more or less like they just shortened the title to combine the original title just as this version of the game contains the same core gameplay of Basement Crawl. Read More...

We've collected some of the random virtual Christmas Cards and holiday well wishes from developers and publishers for you Ho ho homicide has to have been one of the best Christmas greetings I have yet to see from a video game studio or publisher this holiday season and I've seen quite a few over the last few days. Tis the season that all of those who make our favorite form of media to try and give back to all of those who keep their families fed. Or at least try to for those who are most likely going to cry and whine to their parents if they didn't get the latest Blizzard expansion or the pre-orders for all of those games coming out next year. Sunset Overdrive's Mystery of the Mooil Rig DLC is out today and just in time for us all to fight some tentacle monsters on our Xbox One's for Christmas If you didn't already have a huge backlog of titles or any new games to play over the coming days then let Sunset Overdrive add a bit more DLC to itself to keep you entertained. In fact, it is some of the first Story DLC to be added from Insomniac Games and it can be downloaded to your Xbox One as you are reading this text. Of course that does mean you also have to have Sunset Overdrive for the system already but that should be a given. Read More...
