Review: Punisher No Mercy [PSN]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 09:43 PM ]
MERCY!? You Want MERCY! I'm Chaotic Neutral! When the Unreal 3 Engine and game came to market, many of us looked at it in awe with the power it game developers and modders to make their own visually stunning FPS games. Other genres can work with it too, but it is totally an FPS engine. One thing I always though would do great was to have a shooter with some of the better of the licensed superhero characters of comic fame. Granted, Punisher was not the absolute first to come time mind for some reason, but it was the top three ideas I thought of. It was also an idea that Zen Studios came up with and make work extremely well with Punisher: No Mercy. Read More…

Space Freak Out!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 07:40 PM ]
ABANDON UNVEILS FIRST SCREENSHOTS AND GAMEPLAY TRAILER FOR FREAKY SPACE, FIRST EXPANSION FOR FREAKY CREATURES With a bit of the obscure listed earlier today, I figured I'd keep with that and bring about some news about an obscure MMO that may be a guilty pleasure for some or completely un heards of to others. We don't judge here. There is an MMO style game out there called Freaky Creatures. Read More…

Spymaster Takes Twitter by Espionage
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 06:19 PM ]
Twitter Madness! For those who are not indoctrinated or already addicted, you undoubtedly have friends or acquaintances that can not speak enough about how many followers they have, that they tweeted what they had for lunch (I'm having leftovers) or whether or not Nathan Fillion liked Halo ODST (he did, btw). The interconnectivity can be considered amazing or intrusive depending on how often you check Twitter in a day, how often you tweet, when you're on your [insert phone here] Twitter application and how many text messages are sent to your phone. iList, Inc. Commanding And Conquering Comes To An End
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 05:30 PM ]
EA LOS ANGELES ANNOUNCES THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMAND&CONQUER 4 At the end of Command&Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, I'm sure you were left with a few questions unanswered. Not as many as you normally have after an episode of Lost, but you still had some. You were also left wondering if they would ever get answered or if you were going to be left hanging. Well EA's Los Angeles branch doesn't want you to wonder about the "Soup That Could Have Been" for ever. Which is why they picked up and are now bringing everything to a close with Command&Conquer 4. The Ultimate Gaming Wishlist
by Jesse [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 04:37 PM ]
For fans of the WWE, there was a lot to love about last year’s WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. Visually the game was astounding. The characters models were about as lifelike as you could possibly get with attention paid to the smallest details. A great amount of time was spent revamping the tag team matches adding things like hot tags, illegal blind tags, and having inactive teammates being more attractive while standing on the ring apron. Add in the Inferno Match which debuted in the 2009 game and you have one heck of a game. But having played so many of the previous WWE games (going all the way back to when the company was still known as the WWF) I personally felt like there was so much I had seen before that had been cut out. Guitar Hero 5: The Obscure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 03:45 PM ]
First 24 Tracks For Guitar Hero 5 Maybe it's just me and not being totally up on my current music or even my older music, but to me it seems that Activision and Vicarious Visions are going with some of the more obscure songs from artists to drive players to the game. Some of the songs just announced for Guitar Hero 5 just don't ring a bell. Well actually quite a few of them don't. Artists I'm good with, but the selected songs just don't pop to mind. Read More…

Japan Gets All The Good Fantasies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 10:22 PM ]
Final Fantasy II Released on the Japanese PSN So, two weeks ago the original Final Fantasy was released on the Japanese PSN. Japanese fan boys and fan boys with a Japanese PSN account were rejoiced. But us non-JPSN having fan boys are still left out waiting for it to release in our region. Hint Square-Enix Now it looks like we have even more to be waiting for or considering skirting the system with GTranslate open next to us. Today on the Japanese PSN, they are all welcomed with the second, the actual second, game in the franchise. Outside of Japan, we think number four is number two. Read More…

Rock Band Console?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 09:38 PM ]
Harmonix: Music Games Could Abandon Consoles If you had to only buy a fake instrument to plug into your TV to play Rock Band or Guitar Hero, would you? Just to be able to plug and play with out the worry have having to get a specific console or said console purchasing early rights to said game. Would that sale better than what the current generation is now? Josh Randall from Harmonix thinks that may be the way the music genre may head in the not to far off future. In an interview with Videogamer. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 07:43 PM ]
Battlefield 1943 Launch Trailer A few things have happened in the world over the last week or two. Outside of "famous" people loosing their mortal coil. We've celebrated our freedom, US at least. Well at least console gamers have gained the game. Read More…

Mandalor And His Merry Men
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 05:28 PM ]
Star Wars The Old Republic - Mandalorians Looks like Lucas Arts and BioWare are starting the campaign to get us all amped for The Old Republic. As they have just placed out a video clip telling the background of the Mandalorians, via a Jedi Star Log and animatics. Telling of their rise and fall and what has become of them currently, also kind of why they have become the bounty hunters that we all know and love from the Star Wars Universe. I have a feeling that we will have more of these in the coming weeks, and most likely covering everything else you can play or kill in The Old Republic. We'll keep you up to date as we get these videos in. Read More…

Peggle: World of Warcraft
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 04:31 PM ]
Isn't there a add-on for Peggle to begin with? I believe there is.... *goes and log-on to his WoW account to make sure* ...yeah there is. So why is this so important? Well it's because its not an add-on but an actual game outside of World of Warcraft. 10 World of Warcraft stages for all your Peggle goodness. This includes backgrounds from Blizzard artists, compete against a friend or PC in Duel mode, Quick Play levels anytime you want to hone your Peggle skills, and add to your Peggle Master rank with super-extra-hard challenges. T. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 03:34 PM ]
Clearwire officially launches WiMax in Las Vegas When you think of Las Vegas and Gaming, the first place you go is to the table game and gambling. It is the staple in Vegas.
