Want More Info On Guitar Hero Live? Of Course You Do
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of April 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
Activision and FreeStyleGames have released the entire Guitar Hero Live press announcement for all of our viewing pleasure Did you feel like there should have been more to the Guitar Hero Live announcement earlier this week? I know I should felt like there should have been a bit more. Especially since some of the other "buy-able" outlets were already talking about their impressions on having played with the new guitar controller for the game. Well as many of these big publishers do, Activision held a rather sizable event to show off Guitar Hero Live to the press before the official announcement to get them all prepped. Now, that presentation is out and available for us all to view and pretend to be a member of the press pretending to be rock stars with Guitar Hero Live. Read More...

Time To Join The Trans-Galactic Tournament A F2P MOBA On PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of April 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
We now have our first look at Trans-Galactic Tournament, a free to play MOBA coming for the PS4 from Kiz Studios I can hear the groans already coming for Trans-Galactic Tournament as we have the words Free-To-Play and MOBA being thrown around for this new PS4 game. If you can try to look past all of that for a moment you may be able to see the game that Kiz Studios is working that should really be labeled "What if the Star Wars cantina starred in an 80’s cartoon, which suddenly broke out into a football match, which suddenly broke out into WrestleMania?" I only really see a little of any of that in the following gameplay trailer for Trans-Galactic Tournament but maybe I am already jaded by the original label that comes with the stigma for free. To be honest Trans-Galactic Tournament sounds to be a lot like your standard MOBA style games. Read More...

Guitar Hero Live Is Official & Rebooting The Franchise
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Following yesterday's tease, Activision and FreeStyleGames have announced Guitar Hero Live to be the next reboot to the popular franchise Hot off the tease from yesterday we now officially have Guitar Hero Live and it is looking to reboot the franchise with some new features and a new peripheral for the game. We'll dig into all of that in a moment but here we have it; Guitar Hero Live is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Android, and iOS platforms sometime later this year. My money would be on late October or early November to compete with Rock Band 4 as well as get all of those holiday sales a little bit early. Read More...

It's Time To Choose A Faction For The Mortal Kombat X Faction War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
How about a nice and quick breakdown of Mortal Kombat X's faction wars metagame that we will all be partaking in soon? Just when we all thought we were done with the Mortal Kombat X news and updates until sometime after April 14th, they pull us all back in. This time it is with another look at the Faction Wars that will be going on behind the scenes as well as in our faces once NetherRealm is able to get those servers online. The Faction War is the metagame that will be going on as everyone plays Mortal Kombat X online or offline by contributing "faction points" for finishing parts of the game or challenges set out by the studio. This has all been glossed over before in the past but not much in the way of seeing things has been available. Read More...

So far we've seen all but Jacqui and Jax for Mortal Kombat X… that is until today and the latest Kombat Kast to further promote the game and get us all amped up for the release. Read More...

Wake Up As We Have That Mortal Kombat X Launch Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
The launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X that was directed by one of System Of A Down has been released for the world It looks like the Mortal Kombat X mass push for updates will be coming to an end as we now have that Launch Trailer that was teased a little while back. This would be the one that has Chop Suey as the song and being directed by Shavo from System Of A Down. There was a sneak peak but it really didn't give us any insight as to what we may see in the Mortal Kombat X launch trailer. Well the wait is now over and now we just have to wait a week more to make heads and tails of everything that we are going to see here. Read More...

Goro Truly Lives On In Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We had out first real look at the Goro DLC for Mortal Kombat X and it is all about the Punch Walk If you were not too busy over this Easter weekend then you would have been in for another Mortal Kombat X treat. The first gameplay for Goro was shown off during an Amazon All Access event. More than just Goro was shown off during the five hour stream with NetherRealm and Amazon via Twitch but let's face it; Goro is what everyone was excited to see as the rest of the characters that are to be shown off for Mortal Kombat X will be coming in the next week leading up to the April 14th launch. That is if you don't think that there will be more surprises after Mortal Kombat X launches. While we didn't get a good breakdown of all of Goro's moves and variations in Mortal Kombat X, we did at least get their descriptions as well as a shit ton of gameplay showing off how Goro could be completely overpowered in Mortal Kombat X. The first bit of actual game play for Mortal Kombat X Mobile and details have been recently shown off We still have a little more time before we can dig into Mortal Kombat X Mobile. As of right now there has yet to be a release date for the free mobile title that will link into Mortal Kombat X proper but it has been stated sometime shortly after the April 14th launch of that title. What we do have though is a bit more on Mortal Kombat X Mobile and what we can expect to be different from the Injustice tie-in mobile game and this one. Almost All Of The Mortal Kombat X Characters Have Been Revealed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
In the latest Kombat Kast for Mortal Kombat X we were shown almost all of the characters and their variations The headline here may seem a bit odd as we do have our first full look at the Mortal Kombat X character select screen with no empty spots anymore. The roster has been fully shown here at least in the terms of core characters but as we all know, NetherRealm is working on DLC and hinted at other characters making a return to Mortal Kombat X as well. Would it be safe to assume that the DLC or other characters will show up as a second menu under Goro similar to Mortal Kombat 9? I mean they have to display them somehow right? Read More...

Quantum Break Is Officially Delayed Until 2016
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Microsoft Studios has officially announced that Quantum Break will be coming in 2016 now instead of the original release window It was rumored and "misunderstood" before that Quantum Break was on the delayed list for titles this year. Remedy Games made sure that we were all corrected at the time and led us to believe that Quantum Break was still going to be hitting the Xbox One sometime this year. Most likely late this year. Sadly though it looks like Microsoft Studios is reneging on those statements and has officially put Quantum Break on the 2016 bench now. Read More...

It's The Dawn Of The Rise Of The Fallen Machines In Sunset Overdrive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
The latest bit of DLC for Sunset Overdrive has been released and it is titled Dawn Of The Rise Of The Fallen Machines as you could expect With a game like Sunset Overdrive everything can be treated like an April Fool's joke as that is just kind of how the game is. It is the flare that Insomniac Games was going for and they achieved it. Thankfully we have some new DLC for Sunset Overdrive that is anything but an April Fool's day joke even though the title will make you question the validity of that claim. The title being Dawn Of The Rise Of The Fallen Machines. Read More...

It's Time To Meet The Briggs Family In Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Mortal Kombat X has been released and this one shows off Jackson and Jacqueline Briggs perfectly Either we have one crazy elaborate April Fool's joke for Mortal Kombat X or some European outlet released a new trailer for the game a little bit early. My bet is going on the latter here but you never know. What we do know is that the following trailer does officially show of Jax in action for Mortal Kombat X. Like I said, unless NetherRealm is running some huge joke here since we've already seen him in Kombat already then we can add one more to the already mind-bogglingly huge list of Kombatants for Mortal Kombat X. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of March 2015 - 09:01 PM ]
Mortal Kombat X will feature what is called "Easy Fatalities" as well as let you try the DLC characters in Towers Mode It looks like Mortal Kombat X is getting two more features just for this version of the franchise that we have yet to see before. If you are an avid watcher of the Kombat Kast that NetherRealm has been doing almost every Friday up until now then you may have heard about Easy Fatalities. That's one new feature coming just for Mortal Kombat X. The other is that there will be challenge towers that feature DLC characters that you can play through even if you don't own the character outside of the tower. Read More...
