by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 6th of May 2010 - 10:34 PM ]
Ever wanted a chance to go to E3? Willing to do whatever it takes to go to E3? Well Sony now gives you a chance to do just that. They have created a “Win a Trip to E3 2010” contest and all they want you to do is create an open letter video to Kevin Butler, you know everyone favorite fictional Playstation VP in the commercials. Here is the guideline: Each video should begin with the phrase “Dear Playstation” Include your take on Kevin Butler's ever-changing title Make sure you include your own name and title (e.g John Smith, Desperate Fan) Keep your submissions brief and to the point (30 seconds or less) Video can be about anything Playstation related All content must be original – no copyrighted music, video, pictures, etc. Read More...

Review: Dead to Rights: Retribution
by Kevin [ Monday, 3rd of May 2010 - 05:35 PM ]
Dead to Rights: Retribution is a third person action title following vice cop Jack Slate and his groin-ravaging, canine companion Shadow as they uncover the seedier threats that are rising against an already seedy Grant City. Essentially, it is a re-imagining of the franchise that began with very basic, but very fun run and gun gameplay with a hint of John Woo-style dramatics. The sequel to the original, Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay, moved the series from all the aforementioned positives into an area of monotony and outright brokenness. It took the ideas of the first game, which were actually pretty fresh amidst most of the titles out at the time, and did absolutely nothing with them. Read More...

SEGA Embraces DRM For Alpha Protocol
by Brian Goodman [ Wednesday, 14th of April 2010 - 05:37 PM ]
SEGA, according to Eurogamer, has reported its intent to make use of the Uniloc DRM for its PC release of Alpha Protocol, despite past issues regarding the software. SEGA will be joining the growing group of publishers who have begun using intrusive authentication software in the name of protecting their PC releases. Since the inception of PC gaming publishers have been trying to find effective ways to balance protection against theft and unobtrusive gameplay experiences. How many people remember the funny picture wheel with older Lucas Arts games, or the frequently used “what’s the 4th word on the 9th line of page 36 of the manual” chestnut? Read More...

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier In Real Life
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 01:40 PM ]
Looks like Ubisoft might be gearing up to go into feature films, or at least shorts sometime soon. First they do a live action short based on all the beginning story to Assassin's Creed II. Something that was produced very well and added quite a bit of extra content to the overall experience of the game. At least it did for me. But the Assassin's Creed short looks like it was just the tip of the iceberg for Ubisoft's short films. Read More...

The Week In Nintendo (3/22/10)
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 23rd of March 2010 - 04:45 PM ]
So since last week we had a comment about posting more XBox 360 DLC, I tried to do just that and this is what I found. Nothing. Well besides a over priced DLC for Modern Warfare 2. Anyways. In This Week In Nintendo, they bring to you a freeware that came out in 2004 for the PC call Cave Story. A world where rabbit-like creatures roam the world. Now if you aren't thinking about killer rabbits then I don't know what to say to you. Other than that there are five new titles for the Nintendo DSi for you to enjoy on the go. Read More...

Sneaking You Some Shots Of Lara Croft
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of March 2010 - 03:59 PM ]
Looks like Lara is no longer raiding tombs, at least in the title form of things. As can be seen in the latest in the Lara Croft stories, Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light. Which is much better than other titles it could have been like Lara Croft And The Space Aliens That Crashed And Died On Earth And She Has To Take Her Son On An Adventure With Monkey. Not that catchy I know. But title is not the point here for this digitally distibuted game slated for this summer. Read More...
