Past Cure Gets More Of A Story Now With A New Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Past Cure Action-stealth-shooter title, Past Cure, just recieved a story trailer and the worlds of Past Cure are now expanding even further A new trailer for Past Cure has just dropped on us out there and now we get to see a bit more of the game's story that we are going to be diving into. Maybe you've heard of this title by now or maybe you haven't, but now you are going to get a front row seat into what Phantom 8 is cooking up for us on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Although if you are still not on board with Past Cure just yet, we'll start you off by letting you know that it is an action-stealth-shooter title that looks to make you question the reality of the protagonist Ian. At least in some way as you head off in his third-person adventure that will kind of be like Inception. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions — Life Is Strange: Before The Storm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange While at E3 I was able to see Life Is Strange: Before The Storm in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. Another huge shocking title to make it's way out to E3 this year had to be Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. This is a prequel of sorts for the amazing title that DONTNOD gave us before and now Deck Nine Games aims to give us all a feel for where some of the other characters came from and how they better tie into the overall story. Unlike many of the other games announced and shown at E3 though, Life Is Strange: Before The Storm is slated for a pretty quick release date with August 31st for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is a shorter title in the series with only three episodes slated, but that doesn't mean it won't pack a punch. Read More...

Minecraft: Story Mode Is Getting A 2nd Season To Build Off Part Of The 1st
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Minecraft It is official that Minecraft: Story Mode is getting a seond season and it will be bringing back a few of the Minecraft community members with it It seemed like it was "iffy" to me that Minecraft: Story Mode was going to be getting a full second season for fans to enjoy, all based on the eight episode season the first had, but as it looks there will be a season two. Today Telltale Games has announced that it is teaming up with Mojang again and bringing the episodic adventure back to carry on the adventures of Jesse in their own crafted world. Not only did they announce it, but Minecraft: Story Mode second season will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices on July 11th with the first episode. Read More...

Ghost Recon Wildlands Is Bringing The Fallen Ghost Later In May
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Ghost Recon Wildlands The second batch of DLC for Ghost Recon Wildlands is about to drop and will add quite a bit more to Ghost Recon Wildlands' missions and regions If you are a Season Pass holder for Ghost Recon Wildlands, or just really digging the game and buying DLC one its own, then it looks like you have a new date to look forward to as the second batch of DLC will be dropping on May 30th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. Ubisoft is bringing the Fallen Ghosts DLC then and it will be adding not only a lot of gameplay extras, but will be bringing on a lot of the aftermath that occurs after the core of Ghost Recon Wildlands' story. You just plunged Bolivia into chaos and now there is a Civil War to get through with a whole lot of innocent humans in the middle of it all. Read More...

Ancestors Will Place Us In The Heat Of Medieval Battles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new in-engine video for Ancestors has been released to show us just how the Ancestors RTS feel will go between god and unit It's going to sound odd talking about Ancestors here knowing that there are two titles coming out with that as the main title for the game. The version we are going to talk about here though is the RTS title coming from 1C and Destructive Creations for the Xbox One and PC and not the weird ancient history simulator that we've heard a little about before. This version of Ancestors will be taking us through history, but all in the vein of murdering each other in glorious battle between four different nations. All based on historically accurate battles and wars that have taken place between the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Germans, Slavs. Read More...

Total War: Warhammer II Shows Off A New Race & In-Game Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Total War Not long ago it was announced that Total War: Warhammer II was coming and now we have a look at some in-game footage for Total War: Warhammer II with a new race of lizardmen Back in March we all caught wind of Total War: Warhammer II coming to our PCs sometime in 2017 but it was all done in a cinematic trailer that didn't do much but show us that the game was coming and to expect more. No slight to Creative Assembly for what they gave us, but I know I am not a fan of just cinematic trailers and then nothing to go one from there. Sure we found out that there would be elves in Total War: Warhammer II but I prefer gameplay and something more akin to what we will be getting in a final build. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/1/17 — 5/5/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of May 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was one of the more exciting weeks for video games that we've had in quite some time now wasn't it? I know it was for me as we had a whole lot get shown off this week and we also had Darksiders III get an official announcement out there. We also had a lot more hype for Friday The 13th: The Game and a look at the full roster for Injustice 2 and some of the new DLC that will be coming for it. All of that and a few reviews for a few video games that have made a whole lot of page space on the site here over the last few months and years. Read More...

Review — Drawn To Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Drawn To Death We sit down and review Drawn To Death. It's a new shooter/brawler that take place on a teenager's notebook of doom. Here's our review of Drawn To Death Today is the last day that you PS Plus members can pick up Drawn To Death and then it flows on out into the purchase arena for everyone. Given that fact, we thought it would be high-time to throw together our review of the game and how Bartlet Jones has done with it all over the last month so you can figure out if it is worth the time and money to add it to your PS4. We also wanted to make sure we took our time and watched as Drawn To Death grew and evolved as a good multiplayer title must to keep the fans happy. Read More...

Things Seem To Be Changing For Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors It looks like Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is no longer set to be episodic and it is going to let us dictate how our Ancestors came to be Just about two years ago we had a tease for a new game called Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. This was the new project that Patrice Desilets (Assassin's Creed) and team over at Panache Digital Games was working on that would take us on a third-person action-adventure through the process of human evolution. All done in a form of a documentary of sorts as we watch and help guide our Ancestors through everything from the very beginning of it all to our current age. All in an episodic form that was assumed to have each major era be a different episode. Read More...

Let's Talk About Video Games & Their Remakes, Remasters, Reboots
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Wednesday, 19th of April 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games There is something going on with video games lately so let's talk about the horrible video games industry practices of late The video games industry is rife with shady business practices. Having people shell out sixty dollars for a game than thirty for a season pass or even more if there is a special edition of a game. This renders most reviews or opinions of a game worthless to the developer. They already have your money and that’s what they mainly care about; rightly so as this is a business. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/10/17 — 4/14/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of April 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with one more week of video games in the bag. As it seems every week for quite some time now, it too was a pretty solid week in news and updates for us over here. We had a massive drop of information for Injustice 2, a lot more gameplay for Prey and Outlast 2, and then there was the plethora of reviews again with Bulletstorm getting into the mix there. These were only a small taste of the video games we had a chance to get to as well, but that is how these weeks seem to usually go. Read More...

Review — Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition
by Greg Tatterfield [ Friday, 14th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Bulletstorm We Sit down and review Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. A re-master of last gen’s action packed underrated shooter. Here's our Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition review The story in Bulletstorm follows Grayson Hunt, a rouge assassin out for revenge against his commander, but this takes a turn for the worst when they crash land on a violent resort planet filled with rival gangs and other dangers. Grayson then must fight for a way off the world to survive. Bulletstorm is an action packed first-person shooter; think of DOOM’s frantic gameplay meets Borderlands' humor then you will have an idea of what to expect. Read More...

Get Ready To Launch Some Fools With Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of March 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Bulletstorm A launch trailer for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition has been released to show us even more on how Bulletstorm has been upgraded and worth our time and money again In case you forgot, Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will be launching on April 7th here for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We've brought this up before as this is the remastered version of People Can Fly's insane, bullet-hell driven title from a while back that had a nice little following for it. It's been given a bit of a tune up and a fresh coat of paint and will soon be out there for everyone to drive around like an asshole if they wish. That is not a testament to what I think of Bulletstorm mind you, just a fitting description of how it all came together again based on the titles themes and setting. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 3/13/17 — 3/17/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site Another week done and even more video games to look and have enjoyed. This was a rather upbeat week for it all as well now wasn't it? We had plenty of new stuff out of PAX East to look at like the new stuff for Friday The 13th and the next episode of The Walking Dead. We were also able to see Injustice 2 add Firestorm to the ranks for us. To top it off we also had a wonder review out there for Styx: Shards Of Darkness. Read More...
