This weekend I got to sit down with Graham Smith the co-founder of Drinkbox Studios. He showed me Drinkbox's new game Guacamelee! and I must say it's a nice blend of classic Metroidvania style action and Megaman style platforming. Guacamelee! has a 'dual world' feature where you have to jump through portals to navigate the levels. These two worlds are called The World of the Living and The World of the Dead. You will come across enemies that are shrouded in shadow that cannot be attacked, as they are in the other world, but simply jumping in a portal will allow you to defeat said enemy. Read More...

With just under a week from launch it looks like it would be a good time to showcase one of the main characters from BioShock Infinite wouldn't it? Of course it is. This is why Irrational Games has released the following "dev diary" all about Elizabeth and everything that went into making her walk, talk, and not being an annoying escort mission pain in the ass. If you are trying to be a purist and have as little info about BioShock Infinite before playing the game proper, you don't have anything to worry with the following video. Talk about a title that I can't wait to play, mainly for the story and humor. Deadpool looks more and more up my alley with each new trailer for the game. They are just everything that makes the 'Merc with a Mouth' who he is. The following new trailer does not disappoint as well. Well outside of showing some of the game's actually mechanics and game play. I'd be lying if I wasn't interested in how Deadpool will actually handle in game. Cognition places you in the shoes of Erica Reed, and FBI Agent in Boston, MA that has the ability to see the ability to see the past of any object she touches. She must use this ability, and several other developing abilities to solve cases and locate murders. It has been let loose that we will all be waiting an extra month for BioShock Infinite to hit the market. The new release date being March 26th 2013. The reason, to add more polish to the game before it gets released to the masses. Hasn't this been the excuse before? BioShock Infinite was originally slated to come out back in October but was pushed out and then there was silence about the game. With the amount of polish and bug checking Irrational Games is going to be in a world of hurt if there is even one mediocre flaw in the game. Not from myself but the gaming community at large. I recently got the chance to sit through the whole 10th Anniversary box set of Red vs Blue. It consists of all 10 seasons of this superb show and to top it off each season has been re-cut into feature length style with no breaks and remastered with surround sound. Sometimes after shows have been around 10 years, as RvB has, it doesn't age well. I can assure you this is not the case here. The show is just as funny now as it was when it first launched online 10 years ago. Read More...
