Pathfinder Take in more for Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous as we see the paths we might be going down in this Pathfinder experience The development for Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous is flowing forward well and smoothly from what we have heard from Owlcat Games and we still have September 2nd to look at for all to get in on the game on PC. Nothing in the way of spoilers out there, obviously, but also a bit more to expand on what the tabletop Pathfinder gamers might already know a bit more of. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
House Of Ashes The first look & gameplay for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes is here to give us a look at new features coming with House Of Ashes We have all waited patiently for the gameplay showing for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes and now we are finally here to take a dive into it all. Many out there might be thinking that it will be pretty much the same as we have seen from Supermassive Games over the last few titles that have all been Choose Your Own Horror titles, but it looks like that might be a bit wrong for this one. They have been evolving the formula over time and giving players a bit more of what they want, and besides going to another modern setting this one might deliver more. In fact, House Of Ashes sounds like it will be deviating fairly far from the general formula we have had and in a great way. Read More...

Lies Of P Takes Us Down A Darker Path For A Pinocchio Tale
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Lies Of P Take in a bit of the story for Lies Of P and see how Lies Of P will turn the Pinocchio story into a twisted Souls-like title I do love a dark twist on some of those family favorites that were originally grounded in darkness, and here we go with Lies Of P taking us down a dark path for Pinocchio again. It is not the first time some form of media has done this but now we get to see how Round8 Studio and NEOWIZ will turn this into a Souls-like title to enjoy on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in the future. While it would be nice to see how Lies Of P in function here, we do not seem to have gameplay to show off, we have a bit of the story to take in and get a feel for how dark this tale might be. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of May 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Here we go with the wrap-up once again for all of the video games we had to look at here for the week. There was a lot and a whole lot of the same things here this week with Biomutant, Of Bird And Cage and Ratchet & Clank taking over the bigger portions of it all here. There is nothing wrong with that at all, but those were the bigger video games that we had updated and with all of the reviews out there for now. Some are just about to launch out there too, so it all makes sense to have the massive push of it all for now. Read More...

Of Bird And Cage We sit down and review Of Bird And Cage. A playable music video and album to enjoy. Here is our review of Of Bird And Cage Music is always something that can help drive games out there, and here we go with Of Bird And Cage that is looking to do so in a way that we do not normally see out there. Not in the way of a rhythm game out there but with Capricia Productions giving us all a musical in the form of a video game. All while giving a new take on the Beauty & The Beast tale out there and giving us all a new way to enjoy some amazing artists in the mix. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Maid Of Sker A next-gen update for Maid Of Sker is coming next week that will also turn Maid Of Sker into an action-shooter title This seems to be the week that all of the games are getting a next-gen upgrade and now Maid Of Sker is joining the ranks of titles to hit the PS5 and Xbox Series X through a free update. All to bring the game to the 4K resolutions, the usual frame upgrades, faster loading times, and the controller feedback that is currently all the rage. Maybe some of this will lend to making Maid Of Sker a bit more of a terrifying title with the controllers giving us a bit more to experience while sneaking around out there. Read More...

Saints Row: The Third Remastered Is Also Getting Its Next-Gen Showcase
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Saints Row The remaster for Saints Row: The Third is now heading to the next-gen systems to allow for more Saints Row fun in the wilds The rumors that were out there seem to be true, as we have confirmation that the Saints Row: The Third remaster is now heading to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Not through any kind of backward play, as that was already kind of a thing, but in a full upgrade that will give us all the options and features we may have been looking for over the last year. That and Deep Silver most likely wanted to tap this new generation of hardware to bring us the final-final version of the game here. That is not to say that Saints Row: The Third was not a great title to experience, but it just feels like we will see so many more versions like this from all the great titles of the past. The Last Of Us Part II Is Enhanced Just A Bit Further Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
The Last Of Us A new patch for The Last Of Us Part II is out there to bring 60 FPS to The Last Of Us Part II among a few other updates as well It should come as no surprise that Naughty Dog has been working on a way to bring The Last Of Us Part II over to the PS5 in an official way here. Just as the first title did, it released right around the time of a console jump and they would want to make sure that gamers out there get the best experience on the latest version. Not to mention that they most likely already knew that the system was dropping around then, given that relationship with Sony. That all said, unlike The Last Of Us from before, we are not getting a remaster to make sure that it can hop console generations easily but instead getting a full upgrade and patch. Read More...

The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes Teases Us With A New Threat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
House Of Ashes A new teaser for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes is out to give us a bit of a feel for House Of Ashes before a gameplay reveal Here we go with a little more of a tease for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes as we wait to get any real gameplay for the game. Sure, some of this could potentially be from some of the gameplay as Supermassive Games does like to use the engine and gameplay to make their videos but this is still a tease. A tease that shows off a bit of the horrors and tunnels we will be exploring in House Of Ashes as we further fill out the larger story of the anthology series here. This one still has us all focus on a team of soldiers in the Middle East instead of a bunch of random tweens doing the typical horror movie tropes. Read More...

Review — Layers Of Fear VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear We sit down and review Layers Of Fear VR. The creepy walking-sim is back in the virtual space again. Here is our review of Layers Of Fear VR It seems like so long ago that we had the original Layers Of Fear made a splash and offer us all a new way to go about some of the horrors out there. It was not the bigger title that did all of this, but it was a smash hit and delight to see what Bloober Team was trying to do with the genre and ways to offer up horror to the gaming fans. Then we cut forward a few years and after the big VR crazy hit, and now we have Layers Of Fear VR. Read More...

Get Amped Up One More Time For Of Bird And Cage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Of Bird And Cage One more trailer for Of Bird And Cage offers up a final look at how Of Bird And Cage will look and the horror it could have One more trailer is here for Of Bird And Cage to tease us all into the launch of the game this week. It has mainly been all teasers out there for the game so far but that does help keep up some of the mystery behind what Capricia Productions is working on here. It is either a solid way to go about presenting Of Bird And Cage to us all or a way to make sure fewer PC gamers out there are aware of it all. There have been many things out there to show off the basics for the game up to now while keeping the story beats hidden from us until May 20th. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of May 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Here we go with a wrapping of another slow week in the realm of video games here. Slow in the way of not the biggest of news flowing out there but there was still something to highlight and talk about. Even if it was about the new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or the new platforms for Layers Of Fear 2. We did get to end it all with some new gameplay for Biomutant and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart among some various other updates for some smaller video games as well. Read More...
