Yet Another Live Action/CGI Trailer... This Time For Thief

Here we go. A new trailer for Thief. Let's see what Square Enix and Eidos have up their sleeves for us in the new game. Hopefully it is some amazing game play or an awesome CGI story type affair to let us know where Thief is going to take us this go around. It's Not Versus XIII, But We Have A New Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Trailer

It looks like they were not kidding when Square Enix wanted to have the Final Fantasy XIII world run for years. We'll be moving into about 5 now with the release of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and the hopes of Final Fantasy Versus XIII still looming around. Murdered: Soul Suspect Officially Announced And It Looks Spectacular

Way back in February we got a nice little teaser for Murdered: Soul Suspect. It left quite a bit to the imagination and then we heard bupkis. That is until now with the following trailer and tease for what will be shown next week at E3. I have to say it wasn't what my imagination went with but it looks downright awesome, even if it is mostly a pre-rendered trailer. Square Enix Keeps Final Fantasy XI Alive

To those of who still stick with Square Enix's MMO Final Fantasy XI, good news and new content is coming your way. Square is releasing Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin for PC and Xbox 360. From the press release: "The expansion will unfold a new adventure for players as the eighth century came to a close. The Royal Family, in partnership with the Eleven Knightly Orders, has agreed to abolish imperial rule — from which arose the Sacred City of Adoulin on the Ulbuka Continent. I am a lover of murder mystery games, but rarely do I get one that keeps me begging for more. Enter Cognition, an episodic Murder mystery game from indie developers, Phoenix Online Studios. Cognition places you in the shoes of Erica Reed, and FBI Agent in Boston, MA that has the ability to see the ability to see the past of any object she touches. She must use this ability, and several other developing abilities to solve cases and locate murders. Cognition Episode 1: The Hangman starts with Agent Reed and Agent John McCoy racing to a cemetery where Ericka Reed’s brother was taken after being kidnapped by The Cain Killer, a serial killer who kills sets of siblings, a brother and a sister. I'm sure you did as it was being over shadowed during the 2012 VGAs with some video engineer's want to show more of the orchestra than the actual trailer. New Tomb Raider Screens Burning Into My Eyes

It's hard to believe that we haven't had anything of worth to write about for the upcoming Tomb Raider re-boot since E3. Yes there has been the announcement of the launch date (3/5/2013) and the collector's edition of the game, but all of the visuals and details of the game have kind of been in hiding. Agent 47's New Contracts In Hitman: Absolution

Square Enix has announced a new game mode at Gamescom called Contracts for the upcoming Hitman: Absolution. Contracts mode is a unique multiplayer mode in which you create your own hits and challenge your friends to complete them. It works by selecting a level and a target. While creating your hit you can pick up to three targets that can be any NPCs in the level. The player can choose the stipulations of the hit such as what weapons and disguises are allowed to be used. You will be able to take on other player’s hits to earn money and new equipment. E3 2012 Impressions: Hitman: Absolution

Talk about a title I wish I would have had a chance to get some real hands on with at E3. Hitman: Absolution ranks right up there with Tomb Raider in level of excitement for Square Enix titles coming out. While it was on the show floor, there was not enough time in the day to play it but I did get to sit through a pretty cool demo that was geared towards showing some of the cool stuff we will get to have Agent 47 do. First and foremost I have to mention the visuals of the game. As to be expected given the six year gap between Blood Money and Absolution they have gone leaps and bounds over what we've seen in any of the previous games. Read More...

E3 2012 Impressions: Tomb Raider

Here we go for round two of the major showing of the Tomb Raider reboot and still nothing playable at E3 2012. While there was nothing playable on the show floor, there was a nice little demonstration behind the scenes that was all game play. The only caveat was that we were only allowed to sit and watch. Even with that being the case, I do have to say I was blown away with what I saw even though some of the game play mechanics seemed a bit off in terms of making sense in the world. How Will You Murder Humans In Hitman: Absolution?

Kind of an odd question to be asked huh but it is pretty much the question posed to you in the most recent trailer for Hitman: Absolution that showcases the star of the franchise, Agent 47. Outside of that it also shows off a bit of game play as well as the different ways you can control the original assassin through the game.
