by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of November 2009 - 07:05 PM ]
With the launch of the Japanese version of Final Fantasy XIII coming up here in a little over a month, we should all get ready for the onslaught of spoilers, videos, and screen shots. We as in everyone else in the world that has to wait until an unknown date or import in a Japanese version because we really can't wait for this game. I know I fall in the prior over the latter, but that's my love of the English language and lack of Japanese training. In any instance, here is a nice batch of eight new shots of the game. Review: Fairytale Fights
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of November 2009 - 07:11 PM ]
Imagine that you are a character from your favorite fairytale. The main character, if you will. Now imagine that some one has gone through your story and removed the part where you were the important and significant. Everyone shunned and ignored you in your own story. What would you do? Go bat nuts crazy and slaughter all of the cute inhabitants to show that you really are the star again? It's what I would do. Well that is the very basic version of what is going on in Play Logic's Fairytale Fights. Read More...

As I am sure by now you have heard of, seen, and/or played a bit of Darksiders. Either from your favorite news source or at your favorite gaming convention. But what is it really all about? How epic of a tale is going to go along with the game about a fallen horseman? I know I've been curious myself. Well curiosity is sated a bit more with THQ's latest trailer for the game. Nicknamed the Mayhem trailer. Read More...

Live Action Assassin's Creed Is Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of October 2009 - 10:07 PM ]
We spoke about the short film for Assassin's Creed 2 hitting the web today. Also how it will only be available on Ubisoft's youtube account for the next 24 hours, according to them. Well here it is in all of it's live action grandeur. Watch it and marvel at the quality they placed into this short history of Ezio. Now that you have had a chance to take a gander, what do you think? I'd say they have actually gone above and beyond with this little clip. Read More...

Review: Brütal Legend
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of October 2009 - 07:55 PM ]
It's time to transport yourself back to the time of Metal and Rock. Back when the ancient gods of Metal ruled the universe and gave birth to everything we now know as Metal music and Hard Rock. A time where Eddie Riggs ends up and needs to help the humans and their allies bring down the horrors of Gloom Metal and Emo-itude. Oh and take down some big, ugly demons along the way to bring down The Lord of Darkness. Err I mean, Pennywise. Read More...

Review: Borderlands
by Kevin [ Thursday, 22nd of October 2009 - 09:00 PM ]
Borderlands Review: A Cell Shaded Grind Loot. Every role playing game experience has it in abundance. It's the life's blood that drives a player to move forward. For that next precious piece of armor, that dominating piece of weaponry, or that elaborate spell scroll with it's twenty minute animation sequence. It's what the love-hate relationship of most RPGs is based on. Why I had so much fun with Borderlands in spite of this is due to the fact that Borderlands is using the RPG mechanism to compliment the existing FPS experience and not trying to cram it down the player's throats. Review: Saw: The Video Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of October 2009 - 03:37 PM ]
Now I want to start out that this is not a movie based game, at least like all the other movie based games that get pumped out onto the store shelves when a new feature film or the film it is based on is about to hit the big screen. I felt we needed to open with that, because Saw: The Videogame shares only the title and is a continuation off the first film. It is not based of any of the films that have come out or are coming out. It should be considered Saw 1. Read More...

Earthworm Jim Whips It Good!
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 19th of October 2009 - 11:02 PM ]
I remember Jim. The funny earthworm with bionic suit that made so many tounge-in-cheek jokes I could hardly stand it. I had the action figure, I watched the cartoon. I played it on every console that it was available for. Now Jim is returning, guns and blazin', to consoles and handhelds all over the world. Cow launching, check. Laser guns, Check. Read More...

Jurassic: The Hunted Is Not The 5th Jurassic Park Film
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 18th of October 2009 - 02:39 PM ]
So what is this game then if it isn't the next IP for the Jurassic Park franchise? Pretty much another dinosaur shooter style game with one major twist that others do not have. What would this twist be? Not that you are another space marine traveled through time and space and ends up in a jurassic era, but that you are a "normalish" adventurer and weapons master. That and you have been transported back in time with loads of ammo and weapons to hunt and kill the monstrous and angry dinosaurs of the jurassic era, via the Bermuda Triangle. Yep, that's right. Oh The Brütality Of Assassin's Creed 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 17th of October 2009 - 04:17 PM ]
The combat in the first Assassin's Creed was nothing to write home to mom about. You had the few weapons and the few stances and moves you could employ. You couldn't even use you hidden blades for anything other assassinations and counter moves. It just wasn't all that extravagant. This was something that Ubisoft definitely wanted to fix. That and the variety of guards that you had to take down to move about the game world. Something I know I wished for when going through the first play through. Read More...
