Mythic Videos
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of May 2008 - 03:59 PM ]
Rise of the Argonauts So I swear I heard about this over a year ago. I could be wrong. Or I could be right. In either instance, this game looks like it could be epic. Pun intended as always. This game is suppose to be a pretty close telling of the Greek Legends of yore, with a little new world twist to get a broader audience than freaks like me who are all about the Greek stories. Not too sure why they are making a god, Pan, into a lowly mortal magician. There could be more going on, but from has been released here, it doesn't look that way. Read More...

Metal Gear Mania
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of May 2008 - 06:05 PM ]
Metal Gear Mania The Metal Gear Craze Is Going On Konami seems to be revving up the hype for this game much like Rock star did for the latest GTA. Trailers and ads galore. Some of which kind of cool. This first little set of videos is a bunch of ads. Everything from, what I assume is, an energy drink ad all the way to a trailer complete with the guy who has been smoking way too many cigarettes doing a voice over. That would be the first one. It was awesome. Read More...

180-degree field of vision for gaming
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Monday, 12th of May 2008 - 07:51 PM ]
The jDome Website is home to this project that creates a monitor view with an immersive 180-degree field of vision for gaming, using a pretty simple patented approach that only costs a couple of hundred dollars to construct. There's a video with the inventor showing off a prototype of the project on Gizomdo, where they comment on it's potential to induce headaches. The inventor is looking to generate a community around this project to help take it to the point where it can be put into production. Read More...

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Friday, 9th of May 2008 - 10:53 PM ]
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe forces friends to fight, worlds to collide, and unlikely alliances to be forged. when Midway made the announcement of its Teen-rated fighting game fans were up in arms of the lack of fatalities, but in a recent interview Ed Boon stated that the game will include modified finishers, just not "the same kinds of outrageous moves, like tearing someone's head off and the spine being attached to it. Crafting Beautiful Stars
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of May 2008 - 08:05 PM ]
More Star Craft 2 News K, well not really news per say, but at least it is more video on how it is looking and shaping up. If they keep going on the rout it looks, my faith in Blizzard since the Activition buy out will be restored. The video of the game looks absolutely amazing and this is just a bunch of place holders for the Zerg and such. The intro where the human is armoring up looks almost to die for as well. One thing I liked to here is that it is going well and that they are keeping things that worked well in the past. Read More...

Video Cards For Dummies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of May 2008 - 04:16 PM ]
NVIDIA To "Simplify" Product Range I know this isn't that awesome for a lot of us on PWNed. Or at least it should be. We are all the awesome when it comes to gaming machines and gaming in general. Right? I thought so. But what if you are not part of this society and want in. You can get lost real quick unless you know what is going on and what you need to keep up with all of us PWNstars. This is just what NVIDIA is trying to fix. Mainly by keeping the tech specs on the box understandable to even your lay gamer. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of May 2008 - 08:44 PM ]
Crisis Core: Interviewing Yoshinori Kitase Let me drag the dead horse back out and get my big 11 foot pole. Because I am totally going to keep beating it. Not that I was the first too, but damn it, I'm going to continue the good work. Yes those rumors of a Final Fantasy VII remake are back in circulation again. This time pulled from an interview based around Crisis Core. As you will read below and on the actual interviewer's page, there is a lot of talk about the pre-quels and such, but then the question gets popped again. Read More...

MADD Wants GTAIV To Have ESRB Rating Boosted to AO
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 30th of April 2008 - 09:05 PM ]
So here we go with Mass Effect style slander, but this time instead of Fox News, we get it from MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).  Most likely without ever playing GTA IV, which is reflected in their statement below "where players have to drive drunk", MADD demands the ESRB to raise the game's rating to AO (Adults Only) and requests Rockstar cease publishing of the game. Read the statement below. "Each year nearly 13,500 people die in drunk driving crashes and another half a million are injured in alcohol-related traffic crashes. Read More...

Spyro movie pwning theatres near you!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of April 2008 - 09:25 PM ]
Variety says Spyro movie is in the works. If you didn't know, the Spyro franchise is having a new game roll out for it's Decaversay. That's 10th for those who don't get me here. It looks like it could be pretty decent if they continue on the path there are on now. Good news for any of you out there that loved the game and wished for another. But on top of that, it has been released that there is a CGI film in the works for this game as well. Not too many details on it other than the fact that it has been announced. Read More...

Users Will Soon Create PWNage For Heroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of April 2008 - 03:56 PM ]
A Message From Positron – 4 Year Anniversary! So looking at the two titles that come with this Narticle, it may be a little hard to get what is going on in this one. That was the point. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Yes, I can be a villain sometimes. But here we go. On the Official City of Heroes Forum Boards, lead designer Matt Miller made a nice long post about the 4 year anniversary of the game. He goes on about how the game has grown since it launched back in 2004 and continues to thank the users for keeping it in the lime light for so long. Nice of him since it is us, the gamers, that keep people like him knee deep in money and a job. Read More...
