House Of The Dead: Overkill Ext. Cut Moving To PS3

I knew holding out would pay off. I knew that one day House Of The Dead: Overkill would be hoping onto the PS3 so I could hear all 189 of those F-Bombs that are laced throughout the story. I'm sure they are all tastefully positioned for story purposes and not to crack some kind of record… Although seeing as this is the extended cut of the game coming to the PS3 I have a feeling that the record is going to be broken with a few hundred more tastefully placed F-Bombs. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 7 - Scorpion The Family Man

That didn't last long. The awesome reimagining of the Mortal Kombat franchise that was shown in episode 6 seems to be thrown to the side as we are back on the path of the stories we already know. Oh, and just like the Kitana/Mileena story, this one is set up the same way only with franchise favorites Scorpion and Sub Zero. That includes the "To Be Continued" at the end of the episode. This is our first actual look at game play and I have to say it is eye candy for my brain. Brink is a fast paced, multi-faceted first person shooter, and brought to us by Splash Damage and Bethesda Softworks. With its intuitive free-running style game play, and great stylized graphics, is it enough to keep this title from the Brink of extinction? Brink is set in the near future, where two factions battle for control of a floating city known as the ARK. The Security and The Resistance are plagued with overpopulation and poverty, and have decided that the ARK is not big enough for the both of them. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 6 - Raiden's Gone Crazy

Finally we get something that was originally pitched way back when. It only took six episodes before we got another gritty take on the Mortal Kombat universe. While it was nothing as insane as how Baraka or Scorpion were presented, it does ask the question of "What would happen if a god fell in the modern age?" It also answers it pretty accurately too boot. This week's episode features Raiden who seems to have fallen out of power and into the grounds of a mental institution. Read More...

Dead Island Really Showing How Paradise Can Go Wrong

So the original trailer for the game made a huge splash and so did the exclusive behind closed doors showcasing, but for the most part it has been CGI or mostly words showing/describing how Dead Island will handle. While this is still a little bit of the case, we can glean a little more from the below screen shots and new trailer for the game. Finally Some Prototype 2 Screens

Maybe it is just me, or because we are still a year out from launch, but the visuals for Prototype 2 don't seem to be going the way most sequels go. Usually there is some insane boost or extreme change in how things look. From the below screen I'd swear that they were take straight out of the first game. Not that it is a bad thing, but a little unexpected. I have given up hope that they would begin to go back to the "reality based" version. So I am going to try and approach this from a different angle as my original excitement was for something that seems will never be. Anyway, this episode continues the animatic and story of Kitana and Mileena that was approached in last week's episode. Activision To Release A New Call Of Duty, More Talk Of Project Beachhead

Monday brought a lot of long awaited, if not expected, news for the Activision Blizzard team. One important bit of news was a new Call of Duty title that would be released before the end of this year. With Call Of Duty: Black Ops the number one selling game in the US and Europe for the past three months, it's no surprise that Activision is going all in with this one. It's a safe bet that another CoD will sell just as well if not better than its predecessors. Some Heavenly Sword 2 Information?

It is hard to believe it has been almost four years since Heavenly Sword hit the PS3, but it has been. It was an amazing game even though its sales were not overwhelming. I'd blame that on the rocky launch of the PS3 and the titles that had been pushed out for said launch. Who'd want to waste $60 on a new IP made specifically for the infant system at the time. Diablo III Beta Test Starting In Q3!

Yes, Diablo III's external beta test is almost upon us and it's been confirmed by Blizzard'svery own Mike Morhaime. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 4 - Let's Go To Outworld

Um…I really don't know what to say this time. Other than it looks like the previously mentioned boat has now brought that jumper to the ramp before the shark. This new episode has completely deviated from the original pitch from last year. It reeks of either studio demands or that the production team stopped caring about bring what was originally hyped. I knew Baraka was going to be grossly different than the "real world" rendition, but they went all fantasy on it.
