The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim is just around the corner and the Bethesda artists have taken to the web and are giving us a look at what goes into (conceptually) creating the world of Skyrim. The wait is now over GTA fans. The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V can be seen below in all of its glory. At least in the glory of having a trailer that really doesn't tell us much. Outside of heavy hints at a Los Angeles-type setting and a time period of being current. But hey, it is better than just having a tweet that said the game was coming. We all get to see that the game is in full production and not just some pre-production limbo for now. Alright it's time for the next installment to "Trailer Park". This time I have a few new trailers lined up for you guys. I hope you all enjoy. Our first trailer today is a new "grind house style" trailer for Grasshopper Manufacture's new game: Lollipop Chainsaw. The trailer features the cliché grind house voice over guy and a scantily clad cheerleader named "Juliet Starling" who just happens to be the main character. Lollipop Chainsaw follows Juliet and her family as they fight off hordes of mindless zombies in her high school. The horde of zombies are controlled by a group of "rock and roll" zombies. Just in the nick of time, Spider-Man is back in another game for us to take on the many comic book villains who plague New York in Spider-Man: Edge Of Time. While not a direct sequel to last year's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, it does have at least two of the dimensions represented and makes reference to the "Other Guys" from the game. A new "BTS" or "Behind The Scenes" trailer has been released for the upcoming Halo: Anniversary. The trailer shows off a lot of new stuff such as Skulls in Campaign, as well as Kinect and 3D support. I was previously on the fence for getting Halo: Anniversary, but after watching this trailer, I can honestly say I'm 100% sold on this. The aforementioned were not the only improvements, now there is easier navigation through the Library. It was a sweltering summer afternoon, my friend Curt and I were sheltered by an air conditioner on full blast. Inside our sanctuary we spent countless days acquiring callouses and sores on our thumbs as we played endlessly the games of our childhood. I am both a fan of X-men and comic books in general. I have many fond memories of playing the four-player, beat-em up style Konami arcade game back in the 80's and I have spent more than a few hours playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 with my buddies. Silicon Knights' newest title, X-Men: Destiny, should have been a no-brainer - backed by such a great concept as it boasted being the next great brawling action game where you could create the mutant you always believed should be in this universe. Unfortunately due to its execution, the game becomes really diluted, which knocks it down a few notches on the likeability scale. If you read our previous article about XBox Live and Its new TV streaming service then you already know that and XBox Live Gold account will be required to access most of these new features. Well in a screen shot today submitted by a reader over at GiantBomb AT&T U-verse is actually crediting users who want to use the XBox Live feature the cost of a single year's subscription. A little out of character for AT&T but hey I'll take what I can get. For the past couple of weeks, there have been a lot of rumors circulating the web that TV was coming to theXbox. Microsoft and Xbox's own Major Nelson, have Confirmed what players have anxiously been waiting for. Microsoft has teamed up with 40 entertainment providers to bring players all the TV you can stomach to your Xbox 360. The list of providers ranges from HBO Go, Syfy and Cartoon Network to full on providers like Verizon FiOS and Comcast. There is no specific date for release of this content on XBox Live, but according to the press release, we should see something by Holiday time. Read More...

Please gods don't let there be another video game film craze coming again. Earlier this week we found out Dead Island has been optioned for a featured film. Now, Mortal Kombat is getting the same treatment. Yes, another Mortal Kombat film is in the works. Although it has potential to be really good but only if things work out as alluded to. EA has announced that they are working with Klei Entertainment on a sequel to Shank, simply titled "Shank 2" at this point. After killing the criminals who betrayed him, former mob hit man Shank must protect his loved ones from the mob he once worked for. So far no release date has been given, but we can surely expect this one to come out sometime in 2012. Lionsgate has just announced that they have optioned the film rights to Dead Island the movie. Yea… I think… I am being a little hasty here though. Most likely not, unless the new trailer for Silent Hill: Downpour from Tokyo Game Show 2011 is sending hidden messages other mixed in with the new visuals and little bit of story. They did just use Korn here and while the music adds a bit of creep to the whole thing, it is an interesting choice given the music the band started out with. While their themes would be a bit fitting for the town of Silent Hill, I think we are still a way off from Konami adding that into the mix. I could be wrong. Read More...
