Review: Poker Night At The Inventory 2 (PSN)
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of May 2013 - 09:48 PM ]
It's been a while since we've had a good card game on the PSN. Now, after a little over 2 years, we have the sequel to Poker Night At The Inventory hitting the PSN. It is aptly named Poker Night At The Inventory 2 for those who can't seem to keep up. It was released on every other platform about a week earlier, but I had the opportunity to give it a go when it hit the PS3. Here's what I thought. Hated Oh my gods the loading LAG in the game. Three New Trailers For Grand Theft Auto V
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of April 2013 - 11:31 PM ]
Here we go. The three trailers that we were all promised for GTA V have just dropped online for all of our viewing pleasure. Each one covers a little bit on one of the protagonists from the game. It is also pretty safe to assume that the trailers are all rendered using the in-game engine and I'd be surprised if they weren't. But I digress. The three protagonists are: Michael — A wealthy man battling a midlife crisis. Read More...

Two New Characters Revealed For Deadpool To Do Stuff With
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of April 2013 - 06:41 PM ]
If your eyes are wide enough, and your screen is too, you can already see that Psylocke and Mr. Sinister have been added to the roster of Marvel characters to have a role in Deadpool: The Game. What kind of role is still to be fully determined, but I think it is safe to assume that they will most likely be taking on the role they do in the comics. Or they might not. Who know when it comes to video game tie-ins? Read More...

Review: Dead Island: Riptide
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of April 2013 - 08:46 PM ]
Back in 2011 we were all introduced to the wonders that could be a Zombie RPG with Dead Island. Two years later now we get to see how everything has progressed story-wise and engine-wise with Dead Island: Riptide. Is it just another crappy sequel that seems to be all the rage, or does it stand out on its own? Continue on to see what I thought. Story We pick up with the "Immune Fab Four" directly after the events of Dead Island. Read More...

Given all the horror and evil in the world right now it seems perfect time to announce Bethesda and Tango Gameworks' new title The Evil Within. This is what the Bethesda has been teasing with the Vine clips they have been posting. You can see the full announcement trailer below if you are finished with being teased. So far, details are extremely sparse on TEW. Outside of the announcement and following images, the only other concrete detail is that it is being helmed by Shinji Mikami. Read More...

Get To Your Computers! We Can Pre-Order Deapool: The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of April 2013 - 08:16 PM ]
If you are looking forward to Deadpool: The Game then you will be happy to know that there is now a release date as well as pre-order bonuses galore for all of us. There are also a few more screen shots of the game but nothing overly revealing or special in terms of news or features. This is starting to concern me as we are approaching the release date quickly and for the most part we have no clue how the game is going to play, only how it is going to look. Anyhow, the point is not to bicker at the moment. It is to let you know that Deadpool will be coming on June 25th this year. Read More...

How To Make A Better Call Of Duty
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 5th of April 2013 - 10:53 PM ]
With yearly installments coming from two different teams of developers and a horde of mindless followers, I felt it would be nice if I gave my two cents on how to improve upon the stagnant Call of Duty formula before it turns into the next Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. So let's see what's wrong with the formula now. 1.) Lag Compensation. Read More...

According to the Telltale's website, “Poker Night 2 is the unnecessary sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory! Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag - Game Play Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of March 2013 - 11:19 PM ]
Earlier this month we had the official announcement of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag with not much to go on other than the time period of the story and the culture it is based around. During the reign of Blackbeard and pirates for those who are just now following along. No matter which you are, we now have a bit of game play from Black Flag and it looks like Ubisoft is trying to focus on the naval combat that debuted back in ACIII not so very long ago. It also looks like we will get to punch sharks in the gills during underwater scenes of the game, so there is also that. I'll be honest; I have yet to actually play AC III nor any of the 'spin off' titles that launched alongside so I have no clue how well or poorly this new mechanic actually handled in the games. PAX East Hands On: Outlast
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 26th of March 2013 - 06:44 PM ]
PAX East was home to many Indie games this year. So many, that most of the games were located in a section called the Indie Mega Booth. Outlast was one of the games that had their setup in this area. Outlast comes from the brand new indie developers Red Barrels. The company is a 10 man team from Montreal, with each person having experience working with companies such as THQ, EA, and Ubisoft. The team joined up to create and deliver incredibly unforgettable single-player games. With Outlast being their first game, I can say they have already found themselves a comfortable spot in my memory bank. Read More...

Pax East: Saints Row IV Preview
by Greg Tatterfield [ Monday, 25th of March 2013 - 06:11 PM ]
Deep Silver was at PAX East during the weekend to show off their recently purchased game Saints Row IV. Volition started the demo by explaining the games new story. Saints Row IV takes the leader of the Saints and makes him the president of the United States. But all is not well as the leader of the Saints have been captured by aliens and placed in a virtual version of Steel port. The new story direction allows Volition to make Saints Row even crazier. One of the biggest changes coming in Saints Row IV is allowing your character to use superpowers. Read More...
