Will PlayStation Now Be Viable For Every Gamer?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of June 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
I take a look at the updated PlayStation Now Beta and here is what I think of its current state PlayStation Now was announced at the beginning of this year and was another huge focus at E3 a few weeks ago. It makes perfect sense as the service is slated to go into a "public beta" here in just over a month. That is July 31st for those out there who still had no clue. For those with a clue, then you would now that it is and has been in a closed beta since the first announcement. Read More...

Here Are Some Sexy New Images For Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There is a new set of screen shots for Alien Isolation showing off the horror aspects as well as how sexy the game will look Yes, I did use the word sexy to describe Alien Isolation and the new screen shots that we have been provided. Want to fight about it or just enjoy all the amazing visuals that we have to offer here? I'm going with the latter. If you haven't invented a way to punch someone through the internet yet then it looks like you are going to have to settle for that as well. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 6/16/14 — 6/20/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of June 2014 - 11:06 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming This week in gaming news should be the epic conclusion to the E3 coverage that we were able to cover. There was just so much that I wish would could have covered more but there was a good long list of hands on and impressions for you to read through. Even if you don't feel like reading they are all filled with video snippets of the gameplay or trailers that were placed out there to impress and awe. I like to plan ahead as we all have too little time to waste sometimes when it comes to our gaming needs. Read More...

Do You Want To See What Was Shown Off For The Phantom Pain At E3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Early on the 19th of June, Konami and Hideo Kojima showed off the closed doors demo for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Good news for all of you who didn't want to take the time to read through my Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain impressions from E3. It looks like Konami and Kojima wanted to cater to all of you who don't have the time to read through some heartfelt words letting you know what I saw for the game. They have just released the 30+ minute demo that was shown at E3 that many never had a chance to even see. Good news for you but bad for me as my words are falling on blind eyes now. Read More...

E3 2014 Hands On: Evolve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Evolve In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It I have heard so much about Evolve from every other even that I have had to miss out on. Hearing that I would be able to play it at E3 got me excited as all of the trailers and gameplay footage up until now has had me extremely interested. So I made the trek over to the 2K booth and settled in to see how the game plays and if Evolve can live up to the hype that I have seen flung around for it. At least from the aspect of one of the hunters, Hyde the Assault, so know that there is a bit of skew here since I didn't get hands on with the other four playable characters. Read More...

E3 2014 Impressions: Skylanders: Trap Team
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of June 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Skylanders: Trap Team In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It There have been others out there to try and clone the Skylanders experience but none can do it like Toys For Bob and they are doing it again with Skylanders: Trap Team. This will be the fourth major title in the series and the third one that the developer has been 100% behind. Just when you thought that they were not going to be able to innovate and/or drain more cash from your wallet, it looks like they have and will. I got to check out some of the new features that will actually keep me dropping load of cash for Skylanders: Trap Team. Read More...

E3 2014 Hands On: Destiny
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Destiny In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Destiny was a huge push during last year's E3 and every other gaming event that took place up until now. Of course that meant that Activision and Bungie again had to come out strong with something to show for the game as we are only months out from the release and there are only so many more gaming conventions to show off at. Well, they brought both a multiplayer showing and a not-so-multiplayer showing this year and I was lucky enough to sit down and play a bit more of Destiny. All on the same build that was recently available on the PS4. Read More...

E3 2014 Impressions: Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Now for the doozy of a game from E3, Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Love the franchise or hate it, Call Of Duty is still one of the largest titles in gaming history and thankfully it seems to be pushing the technology more and more in the recent years. I know some of you would complain about its annualization and how the mechanics have been going downhill for a while but from the showing that Sledgehammer brought they really left and impact. As the name implies. Read More...

E3 2014 Hands On: Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Alien Isolation In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It So this is more of a two-for-one instead of just hands on for Alien Isolation at E3. There was a nice long showing of the game in a demo driven by one of the developers at Creative Assembly but then shortly after there was a bit of a challenge map that let us all experience the horror of Alien Isolation first hand. In fact it was a demo that was all about the stealth and escaping the Alien not trying to hunt it down. I'll dive into the driven demo first then explain how it actually felt to drive it all myself. E3 2014 Hands On: Battlefield: Hardline
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 16th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Battlefield: Hardline In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It If there was one game at E3 that made an impression before I even got to play it, it was Battlefield: Hardline. Unlike most games on the show floor where there is just a themed room/area for a game; there was a whole experience for Hardline at the EA booth. All who were playing had to be "processed" and moved along into a semi-interactive experience. In the end we went through a "jail break" of sorts and brought right into an epic game of cops and robbers. Read More...

E3 2014 Impressions: Homefront: The Revolution
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 16th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Homefront: The Revolution In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Yet another title announced just shy of the official E3 startup was Homefront: The Revolution. One of the IPs that was picked up from THQ during their fire-sale following the shutdown of the company. This time being helmed by Crytek using that oh-so-beautiful engine of theirs and published by Deep Silver. I was lucky enough to sit through a demo, no hands on here, for Homefront: The Revolution so sit back and enjoy the breakdown I have on what I think about what I saw. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 6/9/14 — 6/13/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 14th of June 2014 - 01:01 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming This has been one insane week and we have tried to cover everything we could for E3 and all of the news, announcements, and everything in gaming. There is still a whole load of impressions and hands on we are still trying to churn out so you can get a feel for what you may have missed or didn't have the chance to actually play. There were fewer hands on with games in general but there was a plethora of all things we can expect in the world of gaming. We were so very lucky to have been able to sit through all of the press conferences and able to give you all the ability to watch as the gaming news came flying in. Read More...

E3 2014 Hands On: The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See The Evil Within In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Here is yet another title that I have been dying for and am going to have a fun V-day with The Evil Within. It was on the floor here as a playable demo, the first time I've had a chance to actually get my mitts on the game; all in a nice and creepy setting to boot. Just the way a game like this needs to be played. I only wish Bethesda would let me take home some of the decor to place up in my god-cave so I can replay the same experience. Read More...

E3 2014 Impressions: Dead Island 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Dead Island 2 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Ah Dead Island 2, now here is a title I can completely get behind and that was based just on the trailer that announced that the game was coming. Who doesn't like a little zombie killing action in a non-depressing yet not-over-the-top comedic way? More or less the balance between The Walking Dead and Dead Rising in terms of tone and mood. Yes, the previous titles were not all that well received but I blame that on other critics not know what is truly good for them to unwind and eviscerate. Read More...

E3 2014 Impressions: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of June 2014 - 09:20 PM ]
While at E3 I got to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it All of the teases and short shows of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can all be put aside now as we were given a new and nice look at the game and features that have yet to be announced or shown in a public form. It also kind of puts the whole demo thing for Ground Zeroes to the side as with what was shown here at E3 was considerably more and with a demo you should get all of the game's mechanics and features. Yes the core running, stealth, and shooting are all the same but here is what we didn't get to play before but will once The Phantom Pain launches. Read More...
