New Screenshots Have Made Their Way Out For The Surge 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
The Surge A batch of new screenshots for The Surge 2 are here to give us a slight look at the game and possible new mechanics for The Surge 2 In the past week, Focus Home Interactive hosted one of their media events that aimed to show more for the games that they will be publishing with The Surge 2 being in the mix of them all. Not too much has seemed to have come out of the event as of yet as it was most likely a lot of first looks and current looks at all of the games with embargoes placed down to keep the coverage at bay for a bit. Whatever the case may be, Deck 13 was there with the current stuff they have for The Surge 2 and giving a small show of what will be coming to the game later in this year. Read More...

The Human Swarm Is Coming For Us To War With In World War Z
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
World War Z The launch trailer for World War Z is here just days before World War Z officially launches and shows us more of the human swarm we will war with Next week we will see World War Z finally hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC after what feels like a long wait. More so when you realize that it is linked to the film that came out about six years ago already. That makes this one different than other film-based video games, right? I would say so and so far I have been impressed with what Saber Interactive has already done for World War Z. Read More...

Negative Atmosphere Real-time gameplay for Negative Atmosphere was debuted at EGX REZZED that shows off how inspired Negative Atmosphere truly is There has been a bit of news for Negative Atmosphere in the recent months as it is a new sci-fi horror game getting placed out there in the universe. Some have claimed that it looks like a few other games out there and Sun Scorched Studios has stated they have drawn inspirations from them. Now we are here out of EGX and we have some new gameplay to take in for Negative Atmosphere that shows off more of those inspirations and just how far the small team has brought the game so far. It is still early in development, so do not expect too much but it is still rather impressive at this point. Read More...

Vaporum The unique steampunk dungeon crawler Vaporum has arrived on PS4 with Vaporum hitting the Xbox One & Switch later this week This feels like the week of smaller titles coming out as Vaporum is hitting the shelves as you are reading this. First, it is landing on the PS4 and then the Xbox One and Switch throughout the week. Especially when Vaporum looks to be a weird mixture of quite a few different gaming aspects wrapped into one. Read More...

Falcon Age Soars Out Into The Gaming & VR Worlds
by Chris Avila [ Tuesday, 9th of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Falcon Age The launch trailer for Falcon Age is here to give us a bit of a taste of what Falcon Age will offer up in VR and gaming in general If you were looking for a new PS4 and PS VR title to jump into, then you will be glad to know we have another one here today with Falcon Age. It launches today on those platforms and will allow us all to live out our dreams of being a falconer without any of the hardships that come with that. Birds are the worst and even a well-trained one can be hard to handle, but Outerloop Games removes all the bad parts and lets us take this virtual one for a spin. I mean, we also have to deal with all of the other horrible things going on in the story of Falcon Age. Read More...

RAGE 2 Has More Grav-Dart To Check Out With A BFG 9000 Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
RAGE New gameplay for RAGE 2 is out there to enjoy with a look at the BFG 9000 jumping into RAGE 2 as a nice little bonus to the game Here we go with a bit more gameplay for RAGE 2 that shows off quite a bit more of the crazy and hectic firefights we will be in when we play the game. It definitely looks like Avalanche Studios is doubling down in that aspect of the game to make sure it feels vastly different from the other shooters out there. There are quite a few out there, even in Bethesda's wheelhouse, and RAGE 2 does need to stand out a bit more. It is a sequel that many did not expect to ever see the light of day given the low numbers of the first. Read More...

Get Ready To Interact With Afterlife This May
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Afterlife The interactive VR film Afterlife is heading out there in May and we have another new sample of what will be happening in Afterlife’s story A little while back we heard of a new interactive VR film called Afterlife and it piqued our interests even though it did not sound like a game at first. It, more or less, sounded like another film being placed out there in the VR realm from Signal Space Lab and that we would sit as a passive observer to a very grim and dark story. Something that is definitely right in the middle of my tastes even if it did not sound like a true game. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/1/19 — 4/5/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of April 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just when you think that things may have slowed down for all of our video games, we are surprised and see a whole lot more out there. This seems like something we say almost every week, but it is worth it as there was a whole lot to unpack. More surprising is the fact that we did not have to wade through much for April Fool's Day even though the RAGE 2 DLC sounds like it. Thankfully, we had much more for Layers Of Fear 2, Man Of Medan, and World War Z to look at to keep us focused on real video games and nothing false floated out there. Read More...

World War Z Breaks Down More Of The Gameplay Barriers For Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
World War Z A new gameplay breakdown for World War Z is here to show off some more of World War Z and how we will survive the multiple locations we will go to In eleven days from now, we will be entering a new world of World War Z on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Some of us are extremely excited for this and others are still questioning just what Saber Interactive will be bringing with this new zombie game. Others in the same vein have failed recently so there is a lot of pressure on World War Z to do well and keep out attention for the genre and creatures. Some of us have hit a breaking point for it all while others are still embracing. Read More...

You May Feel A Bit Less At Ease With The Dark Pictures — Man Of Medan
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Man Of Medan The next dev diary for The Dark Pictures — Man Of Medan is here to give us a look at the lighting and other key elements of Man Of Medan to put us less at ease We get to dive a bit deeper into Man Of Medan with the latest developer diary that is now out there. At least for those who interested in seeing how this horror title is being put together and just what Supermassive Games will be using to freak us out. There are so many aspects to it all that can be used to build tension and fear and this time we get to see the lighting and camera work side of it all. It is interesting to know that many out there still do not get this and it is most likely why Man Of Medan will scare them more and more. Read More...

Have A New Lesson On The Gameplay Of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new developer series for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has started with the first going into the exploration of Ancestors’ map A new taste for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here in the way of a developer diary of sorts to take us on a bit more of the exploration in the game. Specifically that feature in the game as Panache Digital Games has opted to leave out the maps for us and require us to do it all on our own. Not the worst of ideas, but it will be a shift from what we know in open world games like Ancestors. Read More...
