by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Resident Evil The first real look at Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is out there to show us how this will build into the larger Resident Evil story There has been a whole lot of time to dive into the most recent Resident Evil game that has dropped on us, that we almost missed the sneak peek of another item in the IP coming out there. No, this is not a new game that Capcom is bringing to us or some kind of DLC for the current release for those that are not deep into the whole RE line up. This is all for a new Netflix animated serialized drama that we are getting to further progress the lore and try to explain a bit more. Read More...

God Of Riffs Heavy Metal VR Rhythm game, God Of Riffs, will be hitting an Early Access in July to see if you really are the God Of Riffs out there When it comes to rhythm and VR games out there, we all know there is one leading the way, which is why it is nice to see another one going out there as we have for God Of Riffs. It is one coming from Boss Music Games and Vyersoft for the Oculus hardware via Steam that looks to bring the style of game to those who prefer some harder music out there. Harder by the way of God Of Riffs bringing some heavy metal music in the flow of it all while using the basic gameplay loop we have seen in other rhythm games out there. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/17/21 — 5/21/21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of May 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Here we go with the wrap-up once again for all of the video games we had to look at here for the week. There was a lot and a whole lot of the same things here this week with Biomutant, Of Bird And Cage and Ratchet & Clank taking over the bigger portions of it all here. There is nothing wrong with that at all, but those were the bigger video games that we had updated and with all of the reviews out there for now. Some are just about to launch out there too, so it all makes sense to have the massive push of it all for now. Read More...

Review — Of Bird And Cage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Of Bird And Cage We sit down and review Of Bird And Cage. A playable music video and album to enjoy. Here is our review of Of Bird And Cage Music is always something that can help drive games out there, and here we go with Of Bird And Cage that is looking to do so in a way that we do not normally see out there. Not in the way of a rhythm game out there but with Capricia Productions giving us all a musical in the form of a video game. All while giving a new take on the Beauty & The Beast tale out there and giving us all a new way to enjoy some amazing artists in the mix. Read More...

New Modes & Visuals Are On The Way For The Maid Of Sker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Maid Of Sker A next-gen update for Maid Of Sker is coming next week that will also turn Maid Of Sker into an action-shooter title This seems to be the week that all of the games are getting a next-gen upgrade and now Maid Of Sker is joining the ranks of titles to hit the PS5 and Xbox Series X through a free update. All to bring the game to the 4K resolutions, the usual frame upgrades, faster loading times, and the controller feedback that is currently all the rage. Maybe some of this will lend to making Maid Of Sker a bit more of a terrifying title with the controllers giving us a bit more to experience while sneaking around out there. Read More...

Saints Row: The Third Remastered Is Also Getting Its Next-Gen Showcase
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Saints Row The remaster for Saints Row: The Third is now heading to the next-gen systems to allow for more Saints Row fun in the wilds The rumors that were out there seem to be true, as we have confirmation that the Saints Row: The Third remaster is now heading to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Not through any kind of backward play, as that was already kind of a thing, but in a full upgrade that will give us all the options and features we may have been looking for over the last year. That and Deep Silver most likely wanted to tap this new generation of hardware to bring us the final-final version of the game here. That is not to say that Saints Row: The Third was not a great title to experience, but it just feels like we will see so many more versions like this from all the great titles of the past. The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes Teases Us With A New Threat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
House Of Ashes A new teaser for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes is out to give us a bit of a feel for House Of Ashes before a gameplay reveal Here we go with a little more of a tease for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes as we wait to get any real gameplay for the game. Sure, some of this could potentially be from some of the gameplay as Supermassive Games does like to use the engine and gameplay to make their videos but this is still a tease. A tease that shows off a bit of the horrors and tunnels we will be exploring in House Of Ashes as we further fill out the larger story of the anthology series here. This one still has us all focus on a team of soldiers in the Middle East instead of a bunch of random tweens doing the typical horror movie tropes. Read More...

Review — Layers Of Fear VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear We sit down and review Layers Of Fear VR. The creepy walking-sim is back in the virtual space again. Here is our review of Layers Of Fear VR It seems like so long ago that we had the original Layers Of Fear made a splash and offer us all a new way to go about some of the horrors out there. It was not the bigger title that did all of this, but it was a smash hit and delight to see what Bloober Team was trying to do with the genre and ways to offer up horror to the gaming fans. Then we cut forward a few years and after the big VR crazy hit, and now we have Layers Of Fear VR. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of May 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Here we go with a wrapping of another slow week in the realm of video games here. Slow in the way of not the biggest of news flowing out there but there was still something to highlight and talk about. Even if it was about the new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or the new platforms for Layers Of Fear 2. We did get to end it all with some new gameplay for Biomutant and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart among some various other updates for some smaller video games as well. Read More...

Stargate: Timekeepers Announced To Carry The Story On Just A Bit More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Stargate A new Stargate title is coming with the announcement that Stargate: Timekeepers will be taking some of the story into an RTS setting It looks like one more crack at the IP is coming with the latest announcement for Stargate: Timekeepers. Yes, we have more building into the IP and story with Creative Forge Games taking a swing to see if they can do what many others out there have not been able to do. That is to give us a solid Stargate video game that does not seem like a cash grab for the diehard fans that have been following for so long. It sounds like a massive undertaking, but this one will be an RTS on the PC that has a slight advantage to it all. Read More...

The Wrath Of The Druids Is Upon Us In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed The first major expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is almost here and will take us to new lands in the Assassin’s Creed universe It feels like it might have taken just a bit of a while, but here we go with the first expansion coming for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I say all of that due to the fact that Ubisoft generally churns these things and DLC out rather quickly from the official launch of the core games. Now on May 13th, those that have the season pass for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or are looking for a stand-alone adventure will be able to jump right in and see what it all has to offer up. We are getting a chance to head into some unfamiliar territory for our characters and the IP in general, so that is always a fun thing to look forward to. Read More...
