by Sam [ Saturday, 21st of March 2009 - 09:19 PM ]
Xbox Live users who are fans of both Guitar Hero and Metallica can go on the Xbox Live marketplace and download the newly uploaded demo for the upcoming Guitar Hero Metallica. The demo features four playable songs, two of which are Metallicas, the other two are by Alice and Chains and Queen. The track list goes as:No Excuses - Alice in ChainsSad But True - MetallicaSeek and Destroy - MetallicaStone Cold Crazy - QueenThe demo also features the ability to create your own rockstar character like in Guitar Hero World Tour, but seeing as it's the demo it's kind of pointless to have.If you're thinking about buying this game and are wondering what kind of songs to expect, below is the full track list of every song in the game. There's quite a lot of personal favorites of mine on there such as Master of Puppets. Read More...

Talk About Being Effed Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 16th of March 2009 - 10:46 PM ]
HOUSE OF THE DEAD: OVERKILL BREAKS [AN EFFIN'] RECORD FOR THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS GAMER'S EDITION Now this is a feat if I say so myself. Not the getting into the Guinness World Records book, especially since there is the Gamer's Edition. That would make it kind of moot to say that a game made it in. But in this instance, it isn't just making it in, it is the reason behind getting listed in the book. It is an effing awesome reason too. Read More...

More Game Footage Showing Of Characters In Guitar Hero: Metallica So as it is no big surprise that this game is rolling out here in the U.S. at the end of the year, it should also be no big surprise that the marketing campaign will be starting soon, if not already, to start weaseling you out of your hard earned cash for this game. Damn that was long winded there. But in any instance. Read More...

OZZFest has also been confirmed as an in-game venue, exclusive to World Tour. Zakk Wylde is confirmed to be a playable character with the song Stillborn. WoW And The Real Life
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of July 2008 - 11:07 PM ]
The Guild: DVD Being a man of my word *best Joker Impression*, on two fronts, I had to post something about this great Web series as well as their new DVD on sale at Comic Con, or you can get as of 8/1. First, I got asked by people here to make sure that the actors of the show knew about our site here. After three days of stalking them (pics below), I was having issues getting proper representation for the site, but I hooked them up with a professional implementation of advertisement. The other part, I told Felicia, Vincent and Sandeep that I would give them some webtime. Read More...

Guilty Gear 2: Overture
by Taylor Rose [ Wednesday, 23rd of July 2008 - 03:41 AM ]
Guilty Gear has always been one of my favorite series of fighter games because it greatly impairs our oh-so-beloved button mashers from pwning ass. Take Soul Calibur II for instance: when playing as Rafael, by repeatedly pushing one button, Rafael will rapidly flail his sabre, often leaving the other player no chance to retaliate. The control structure in Guilty Gear is so brilliant because rapidly pushing the punch or kick button won't get you very far: special combos are based mainly on the combination of buttons and quarter or half turns with the joystick or directional pad. It has so far proven to be a very difficult game to master - but isn't that what one looks for? Read More...

Top Gun Theme Free on Guitar Hero III So for you patriotic people, or at least those that like to feel it, here is a new song for GHIII. Not really an anthem of the country, but at least it is one for a movie that has the strong feeling of America. That is the "Anthem" for Top Gun. Who doesn't get that un chill down their back when hearing that? Read More...

GEN - Guitar Hero World Tour - First Look
by Andy [ Friday, 20th of June 2008 - 06:18 PM ]
GEN had the honor of being one of approximately 15 press outlets to get a first look at the new Guitar Hero World Tour game, coming out from Activision I have to admit, being an avid RockBand fiend, I was a little hesitant when I heard that Activision was jumping on the bandwagon and creating a game featuring all 4 instruments. You hear about “second helpings” of games and worry that a “knock - off” may just prove to be an epic fail. My worries were quickly put to rest when I sat down and was entertained by Neversoft’s Brian Bright, Project Lead and Alan Flores, Lead Designer who showed me that Guitar Hero World tour is RockBand ….
