Take that all to not so you are ready for it all when the game lands on October 26th and aims to take advantage of all of the hardware it can for this one. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of September 2023 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It is time to put a cap on this week of video games and everything, and I do have to say it went out with a bang. We had some fun for Mortal Kombat 1 to kick things off, then a little more for Super Mario RPG, all to lead into the big drops of Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy VII. With a whole lot of other video games dropped in the mix too. Also, one more review out the gate to get us ready for the next month where things are going to go off the rails for all of that. Jean-Claude Van Damme Is Kicking Some Major Ass In Mortal Kombat 1
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of September 2023 - 05:00 PM ]
Mortal Kombat Mortal Kombat 1 is ready to show us all how Van Damme is going to look so we can bring Mortal Kombat full circle further It only took the team at NetherRealm Studios thirty years to get here, but here we are with Mortal Kombat 1 and Jean-Claude Van Damme actually being in the game. Not as a full fighter, sadly, but as a full skin for Johnny Cage in the game. This is nothing new for the announcement as it was let loose a while ago, but now we have some solid gameplay to see and hear how the actor will be in Mortal Kombat 1. Read More...

Mortal Kombat 1 Will Have Even More Blood Flowing In The Game Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of September 2023 - 05:00 PM ]
Mortal Kombat One more blast from the Mortal Kombat past is here to expand the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 just a bit more This seems to be a big week for vampires, as now we have the announcement that Nitara is coming in with Mortal Kombat 1 on September 19th. You read that correctly. NetherRealm Studios is dropping the Outworld Vampire into the fight from so long ago and with all manner of updates that we should be looking for. Although, at this point, it feels like they were just looking to remake Mortal Kombat: Deception for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC instead. I jest, but it does feel like the roster is mostly coming from that title and various others that were not all that well-received. Read More...

Alone In The Dark The new Alone In The Dark is going to be a bit further out now with the recent delay announcement for Alone In The Dark Just when we thought we were going to be seeing Alone In The Dark back out there on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this October… we find out that we are going to have to wait a bit longer. Yes, sadly, we have a delay on the way to us all from Pieces Interactive for the game and it will now no longer be hitting the Halloween season out there. Even if it would be the perfect time for Alone In The Dark to land out there. Read More...

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Is Finally Stalking The Night Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of September 2023 - 05:00 PM ]
Bloodlines A new update for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is here to let us know that Bloodlines 2 is rising from the dead again Gods, it has been a hard road here for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, but here we are with a new update to share with the world out there. After the last one where Paradox Interactive let the world know that the game was on an indefinite delay and dropping the studio that was working on it, we were all left wondering what was to be. Hells, I am still fighting with them to get my refund from the game I pre-ordered three years ago now. That is a story for a different day, though, as during PAX West here, we have the announcement that The Chinese Room will be taking over the work on Bloodlines 2. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of August 2023 - 09:00 PM ]
Mortal Kombat We are about to head into Mortal Kombat with the opening cinematic we are going to get in Mortal Kombat 1 While we had some fun looks at Mortal Kombat 1 during Gamescom 2023 and had a few more characters confirmed for the game, we had one more big thing flow out there before the September 19th release date for the game. A nice little bit that could potentially hype us all up for what NetherRealm Studios is working on or spoil some of the game for us. To this, we are talking about having the opening cinematic for Mortal Kombat 1 that will lead us into the first main fight in the story. Read More...

Review — Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of August 2023 - 09:00 PM ]
Stray Gods We sit down and review Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. A new story of the Greek Gods but all as a musical number. Here is our review of Stray Gods It is time to ask the question, again, about how the Greek Gods would handle things in modern times with the release of Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. This is a new choose-your-own-adventure style game from Summerfall Studios that also mixes in some musical theater into the mix. It is rather there in the name of the game along with some roleplaying aspects. Read More...

The Rulers Of Outworld Are Out There In The World Of Mortal Kombat 1
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of August 2023 - 07:00 PM ]
Mortal Kombat Even more Mortal Kombat characters are back in action and ready to rule things again in Mortal Kombat 1 yet again There is now less than a month left before we have Mortal Kombat 1 on our PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC with September 19th looming closer. You probably already knew all of that as NetherRealm Studios has hammered that home since the original announcement. What we did not know, and was shown off during Gamescom 2023, is that we are going to see more of the original power players of Mortal Kombat back in the mix and doing all manner of terrible things again. Even if the story should have meant that Fire God Liu Kang should have made it not a thing. Read More...

The 7th Guest VR Will Be Joining Us All Just Before Halloween
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of August 2023 - 07:00 PM ]
The 7th Guest The release date for The 7th Guest VR is now set with The 7th Guest VR coming to more platforms just before this Halloween If I remember calling it, it looks like we were right in saying that The 7th Guest VR would be out to us all before Halloween this year. It looks like Vertigo Games has gone on out to Gamescom this year to let us all know that we will be able to hop into this horror world on the PC and PS5 via VR and PSVR2 respectively. All of which on October 19th, so we can be sure to have The 7th Guest VR under our belts for ourselves and then put the rest of our friends through the paces on the big night of it all. I know that will be the way I will be going about it all when the time comes this year. Read More...
