Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games One more week in video games is in the bad now and it has been another fun one. We were able to see Evolve go free-to-play, how South Park is taking comedy serious here, and also a whole bunch of new Battlefield 1 gameplay to tide us over for a bit. We also had the chance to review three more video games here this week with some highs and some lows. Fallout 4 At E3 the Fallout 4 Nuka-World DLC was teased and shown off to the world but now it seems it will be the final Fallout 4 DLC too Hopefully you weren't banking on the Fallout 4 DLC to keep rolling out after the most recently teased one. As it seems the upcoming Nuka-World DLC teased at E3 is going to be the last bit of planned DLC that Bethesda has for the game. So get ready for the Fallout 4 content to stop flowing out after that hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime next month. Friday The 13th New details on how Friday The 13th: The Game's counselors will handle in the game have popped up and it looks like Friday The 13th is going to break a few multiplayer molds here There is still a lot of time and information needing to be spread out for Friday The 13th: The Game and it looks like just a bit more has popped on up. While Illfonic has been giving us small little breakdowns of how some mechanics play out it looks like the guys from Gun Media have given us all a bit more on how the counselors in the game will handle and play out. South Park In the wake of E3 we are still getting South Park: The Fractured But Whole details and this time it is just how the guys from South Park are taking the comedy a bit serious It sounds extremely weird and funny to hear that South Park: The Fractured But Whole is trying to take comedy seriously given the jokes about just that in the past. Of course we have to look past all of that as all of this comes from a recent interview about the game from some of the team out of Ubisoft. That and the fact that in terms of this South Park game this whole new revelation is in terms of the genre and not the specific jokes as the comedy genre in video games is on the light side. Friday The 13th The virtual cabin for Friday The 13th: The Game is out now and we have a few new looks at the Friday The 13th goodness it contains At the beginning of the week we all got news that Friday The 13th: The Game was getting its virtual cabin soon. Soon as in June 30th. For those keeping track that was yesterday as of this writing and Illfonic has released the codes to the backers of the game so they can take a look at the virtual cabin before the full release later on. the Friday The 13th virtual cabin is still only for the PC version of the game at this point but Gun Media has told us all that it will be the 3D museum for the game's collectibles and other fun Easter Eggs on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Dishonored 2 The first bit of gameplay for Dishonored 2 was shown off and now we have a better look at some of the upgrade for Dishonored 2 we are going to get Here is yet another title I didn't get a chance to personally check out at E3 but by the gods we had a great showing of Dishonored 2 out there during the event. In fact, we had about 15 minutes of gameplay shown off by Arkane Studios out at the show even though Bethesda had nothing more than a small museum to offer up on the show floor. The Walking Dead The first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead's third season has been revealed and it looks like The Walking Dead is jumping forward in time but keeping fan favorites If you were able to pay full attention to everything out of E3 then this may be old news to you but for those who were overloaded with news, then you may have missed that The Walking Dead season three is slated to start up sometime this Fall. Not only that but we have a nice little trailer out of Telltale Games and a few little tidbits on the game directly. Given the success of The Walking Dead in general it shouldn't have been that big of a shocker to see the third season coming but in this season it looks like the surprises are more in the game than that it is coming. Here's my take on South Park: The Fractured But Whole This has been marked down as one of my most anticipated titles of E3 and I was able to go behind the curtain and see South Park: The Fractured But Whole as they wanted to show us. Of course this being Ubisoft there was all the glamour mixed around it all to make everything more impressive than their little black room for the last title in the franchise. It looks like they get that South Park is something that is going to help rake in plenty of money and they are taking care of it. Read More...

Injustice 2 While at E3 I was able to see Injustice 2 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Injustice 2 It was "leaked" and then we got some gameplay to look at just before E3 but I was able to sit down and actually have a good look at Injustice 2 on the show floor. It wasn't anything playable sadly but it was gameplay where NetherRealm Studios went into all the ins and outs of the updates and changes that will be coming. Not only that but we had a look at a few of the new characters coming to Injustice 2 here when it launches next year for the PS4 and Xbox One. Gwent While at E3 I was able to see Gwent: The Witcher Card Game in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. We all demanded it and not we are getting Gwent: The Witcher Card Game as a standalone title to play and experience outside of the core game that spawned it. Of course CD Projekt RED could have taken the easy way out and just ported the basic game over to appease the fans but instead they went all out and brought a fully redesigned version of the game for us. The core mechanics are still there but this version of Gwent has a lot more to offer than just fun times and collecting cards. Read More...
