Life Is Strange: Before The Storm Is Showing Just How The Riff For Chloe & David Started
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new Life Is Strange: Before The Storm trailer is out now and it shows just how some of Life Is Strange's characters started to hate each other more If you've played Life Is Strange already then you know well about the strained relationship between Chloe and her "new step-douche" David. There is no denying the level of animosity between the two characters and in the new "expansion" that Deck Nine Games is bringing to us all on August 31st we are going to see just a bit more on how all of that grew to where we saw it last. Did any of us think that it all was going to start out well in Life Is Strange: Before The Storm or just be the usual "new man" in mom's life that step-parents usually go through. Read More...

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Takes Us To Roswell & All That Comes With That
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein A lot of new gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has been released and we get to see Wolfenstein's take on Roswell and all the aliens there If there is one thing, we have not been in a drought of gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. It almost seems like we can't go a full week without some new bit of gameplay for the game getting placed out to excite and titillate. It's almost like Machine Games doesn't want there to be any surprises when Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on October 27th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Then again, this could just be faith in the project that Bethesda has so that we can get almost an hour more of gameplay and still have so much yet to be seen and experienced in the full game. The Walking Dead Is Getting A Fourth & Final Season Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead During SDCC it was revealed that The Walking Dead from Telltale will be getting one more season to wrap up The Walking Dead story we've been waiting for There was a lot of good news to come out of SDCC this year but what we have here is a mix of good and bad as The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been announced to be in the works and heading to us sometime in 2018. Obviously we can see the good news here as we will get to see Clementine back in action and dig into some of the best storytelling that Telltale Games can offer, but it also means that all of this will be coming to an end here. I'm going to go on a limb and guess this is due to the fact that The Walking Dead is over saturating the market with all of the other titles they have coming out there, but it could just be that the team wants to move on to other things or maybe other aspects of the universe. Have A Tease Of The Psychosis We'll Experience In Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Hellblade We now have a small tease at one of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice's features coming with the game that will focus on Hellblade's psychosis & how it was used in game By now we all know that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is going to have some deep-rooted ideas and looks at "insanity" and psychosis in the game. The titular character suffers from some of it and Ninja Theory has been pretty open about talking to many scholars and those who suffer from similar ailments to make sure they are able to represent the whole thing properly. Hopefully you've been following along with all of the developer updates for Hellblade and this isn't new news for you. Read More...

Batman: The Enemy Within Has Been Announced & Coming Next Week
by Julia Schoebel [ Monday, 31st of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Batman During SDCC Batman: The Enemy Within has been announced and will continue the story that Batman: The Telltale Series started for us all So many things received the announcement out at SDCC and it sucks that Batman: The Enemy Within fell through the cracks over here. Especially given that the first episode is set to drop on August 8th next week and the fact that this IP has been one of the better ones in Telltale Games' basket for a while now. At least it has been for me and I have been wanting more of this Batman for quite some time now that the season ended for the other one. I just want to see where it all goes and how all of the choices will alter this brave new world for the character and all of the villains I made or took down over the course of it all. Read More...

Get To Know More Of Chloe & Rachel's Story Before Life Is Strange: Before The Storm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of July 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new behind the scenes video for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm is here to give some insight on the story for these two Life Is Strange characters before launch In a month, August 31st, we will get our first episode for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm and we've seen some fun stuff for it so far. At least enough to see that Deck Nine Games is going to be telling a prequel of sorts from the last title and that it won't feature the same protagonist and the super time-bending powers. It will feature a few of the others from the Life Is Strange universe for sure but he we are going to see a lot more on the side of things for Chloe and Rachel more than anything. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/24/17 — 7/28/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of July 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was totally a recovery week in video games for us over here and the industry in whole. Two of the bigger cons for the industry have now wrapped and we have a few more off in the near future and here we site continuing the coverage out of both of those major events. That's not to say that is all we have to cover for video games as we did get to see a whole lot more for Hellblade this week as we head toward the release date for that, but of course there was still a lot from Call Of Duty, Wolfenstein II, and Marvel Vs Capcom fresh out of SDCC and there is still plenty more to come. This is always the best time of year for video games in terms of news and updates. Read More...

SDCC 2017 Experience — The Tick Takeover
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Tick While out at SDCC we had a chance to check out The Tick Takeover off-site event. Here's what we experienced for The Tick Takeover at SDCC 2017 Out at San Diego Comic Con there was a huge push for The Tick's new live action TV series and all the bells and whistles that go with that. It makes perfect sense given the source material coming from the pages of the comics, the convention in general, and the fact that Amazon would really want to push to get as many people looking at the new show as possible. That is of course why they took over a large portion of the off-site real estate out there and set up The Tick Takeover for fans new and old to come and experience what the show would be bringing and also give us all kind of a real world video game to play in the mix. Here's what you may or may not have been able to experience out there all from the perceptions of the team here. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hellblade Another trailer for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has been released this week and goes into more on how Hellblade will be getting some PS Pro features & more It's always a good week when we get two big updates for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice as earlier in the week we caught wind that there was to be a Photo Mode in the game to capture all of the fun, and now we are back to see just how amazing some of those shots can be with the PS4 Pro features getting added on in and some of the video output specification the game will have for the PC version. If you've been following along since the beginning you'd know that Ninja Theory has been working their asses off to make this a spectacular looking game and now you can rest assured that Hellblade will be coming with the coveted 60fps on the PS4 Pro. On the PC, the cap is only what your system can handle so get ready to put the settings at "Godly" so you can see it all in the best light. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein New gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has dropped with more tension & we have a look at Wolfenstein II's Season Pass I hope you are ready for another massive drop of footage and fun for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. I know I am and that is just about what Machine Games has given us all over the place with a lot of new gameplay and the announcement of a Season Pass worth of DLC that we can pick up now in preparation for the October 27th release on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. To top even more of the fun off for Wolfenstein II we even have a massive amount of gameplay that looks to show off a good portion of the first mission in the game and just how it all picks up right after the last title Bethesda brought us. Photo Mode Is Coming With Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice & We Can See Why
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hellblade It has been announced that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will have a Photo Mode mixed in & we have some new Hellblade gameplay to spy on It seems like Photo Mode is all the rage in a lot of the big titles nowadays and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is not going to be left out of all of that fun. It has just been announced that Ninja Theory has put this mode into the game as well but before you roll your eyes, I will say that this is one of the games out there that will truly benefit from it. Sure, Hellblade looks pretty and there will be some great facial captures and environmental shots you'll want to capture, but unlike the other games that have only that, I can see much more here. The Wolf Among Us Is Finally Getting A Season Two Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Wolf Among Us The second season for The Wolf Among Us has been confirmed and fans of The Wolf Among Us only had to wait four years for it Well it only took four years since the first season of The Wolf Among Us ended, but now we have a second season to look forward to. Before you try to do all of the math on that and tell me that Telltale Games brought the game out only three years ago, it sadly looks like this second season will not be out until the Summer of 2018 at the earliest. The Wolf Among Us' first season wrapped on July 8th of 2014, so the math is sound again. But enough on all of that and the sadness that will remind us all of. Read More...

Injustice 2's Starfire Is On The Way With Some Others In Tow
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Injustice 2 The first gameplay look for Injustice 2's Starfire has landed and it looks like more Injustice 2 premiere skins are on the way too Just as we all assumed, during SDCC this year we had another character for Injustice 2 shown off. Not a completely new character in terms of announcement, but we did get to finally see NetherRealm Studios' version of Starfire for the game in action and assumed to be released during August as part of the first Fighter Pack. While it would have been awesome to get solid word on the other characters coming to Injustice 2 in the coming months while out there, it is nice to see that they are working hard on bringing us what has already been announced out there. Even if the Microsoft Store is jumping the gun and letting us know that Black Manta is indeed coming to the game soon. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of July 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Evil Within A new bit of gameplay for The Evil Within 2 has been released as well as the pre-order bonuses for The Evil Within 2 to help us along It looks as if all of the teasing for The Evil Within 2 has been put off and now we are going to get some solid new looks at the game as we head toward October 13th here. At least for now as it looks like Bethesda has for us a new look at the work that Tango Gameworks has done with a new gameplay trailer. Well, in-game trailer as it doesn't look like much of the mechanics of The Evil Within 2 are being shown here but more of the general look and feel of some of the actions to be taken in the game.
