Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Well, the week has come to an end once more, and we had some fun with the various video games and films we had announced there. Some big ones like Resident Evil Requiem and Poppy Playtime had some highlights. Mortuary Assistant The first trailer for The Mortuary Assistant film is here, and we get to see how well The Mortuary Assistant is coming to life It didn't seem like it was truly going to happen when the film adaptation for The Mortuary Assistant was announced a while back. It felt as if it would work well as a film, but it was announced and then not much else was heard or seen from it. Now, we jump forward a bit, and we see that not only is The Mortuary Assistant coming to life for the big screen. Star Trek Dive deeper into the combat of Star Trek Voyager: Across The Unknown and see just how we will be commanding everything in this Star Trek title The captain is on deck, as we take a look at the combat that we are going to have to master in Star Trek Voyager: Across The Unknown. Okay, that's a little off since we will be playing as the captain in the game, but we have gameXcite behind the controls of this new look, so we're not the captain in this instance. Senara The Senara is ready to set sail with us all with new horrors coming into our world within Senara: The Sacrament Horror is hitting the seas once more with a new title on the way to the PC in the form of Senara: The Sacrament. A new horror title that Influsion is working on out there that will lock us into the world of a sealed ship. Not the normal grounds that we find ourselves in with the genre, but it has been used extremely well when it has been. The 18th Attic The release date for The 18th Attic is coming, and we have a little more to look at within The 18th Attic Get your PC warmed back up and ready for some extra kitten cuddles, as the release date for The 18th Attic is almost upon us. The game will be fully ready from Steelkrill Studio on February 2nd, just in case you need a new psychological horror title to play through for the month. I'm sorry to pull the rug out on you if that intro made you think this was some kind of cozy cat petting title, but The 18th Attic does have some of that in there to go with the horror. All with a little bit more of the story, some words from Rebel Wolves, and a new track that we are going to hear quite a bit when we are playing the game. Metro Head deep into a new Metro station with the announcement that we have for the upcoming Hunted Within: The Metro I know that many of us have had some experience in the setting, but Hunted Within: The Metro is ready to take us further underground and have us pilot our own train to survival. As long as you are ready, get on board with the new title that LRDev Games is gearing up to give us on the PC here. A new title that will have the darkness we can expect in the tunnels of the Metro systems, while trying to make sure we have enough gameplay that makes it stand out from the others. One that hasn't received a whole lot of hype out there before now, but one that has a solid release date for us all to look forward to. Cronos A new gameplay mode for Cronos: The New Dawn is on the way to make sure we can all experience the story of Cronos I do not know why, but it feels as if Cronos: The New Dawn launched on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC so very long ago. I guess, a matter of months could feel like a long time for anyone out there, but it dropped and Bloober Team added another great success to their list. Sure, some had some complaints about the game, but for the most part, Cronos: The New Dawn was loved. Although there is a good number of fans out there who had issues with the difficulty of the game and the ability to enjoy the story the team was telling. Read More...

They Will Come The gameplay for They Will Come is finally out there so we have a better idea of the exploration They Will Come will offer The announcement for They Will Come does not feel like it was that long ago, and here we are with a look at the gameplay that we can expect in the game. I am not sure why Game Pop just did not wait a little bit longer to hit us with all of the news at one time, but here we are with another PC title to look forward to as we head into the new year. Although you will need to be into those adventure puzzle games that will keep us hiding from enemies, as They Will Come is another in that view of all of that. WILL The open playtest for WILL: Follow The Light is ready for us all starting at Will’s Lighthouse The puzzle adventure that is WILL: Follow The Light is finally ready for the PC gamers out there to give it all a bit of a playtest, if you have an hour you wish to kill in the game. That is how much of the game that TomorrowHead Studio is ready to offer up to the growing fans so they can make sure that the game is fully ready for the launch in the first half of 2026 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Yes, this does also mean that the console games will not have a chance to experience all of this for WILL: Follow The Light early, but that is the state of gaming out there. Star Wars A new Star Wars title is on the way, with an era that many have been waiting for within Star Wars: Fate Of The Old Republic Talk about a massive announcement that happened during The Game Awards this year… Star Wars: Fate Of The Old Republic is on the way to us and looking to take us all back to the era that so many fans have been missing over the decades. All from Arcanaut Studios and led by Casey Hudson, along with the guidance of Lucasfilm Games to make sure it stays in the Star Wars setting perfectly. Outlast The snow is falling in the world of Outlast, with the launch of Project Messiah out there in The Outlast Trials The snow is going to fall just as the blood rains down in The Outlast Trials with the next big project. Project Messiah is now live out there on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for those ready to see what new horrors that Red Barrels is offering into the world. Not just with the new Prime Asset in the game, but also as it is time for the traditional holiday-themed events with the Outlast twist on them.
